August 2004 What a lovely site. Only a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach, which is ideal for children and dogs. It is only 20 minutes walk into Whitby and approx 30 minutes to Sandsend in the oppositie direction. The toilets and showers were clean and the site itself was quiet enough desite us being there in the middle of August. Famililies of ducks patrol the site, which keep everyone entertained (make sure you have some extra bread and they will gently take it from your hands). We will definitely be going back again.

August 2003 Very clean and quiet. Even though the site was full there was no noise at night and was a pleasure to stay at. Plenty of space for the children - especially the seperate area set aside for ball games etc. Loved watching the ducks wandering around the site too. Toilets and showers very well looked after. Will definately be returning.

July 2003 This is a lovely site which is within walking distance of Whitby and Sandsend ,and an ideal base for exploring the lovely villages of Robin hoods Bay, Runswick Bay ,and Staithes ,as well as the beauty spots around the “Heartbeat country” Although the site normally caters for caravans, they were quite happy to accept our Folding Camper. They have room for 50 tourers, but there are also lots of “static” tourers on site.
We found the site, despite being very dog friendly (nearly every van had a dog or two) to be, very clean well maintained and very quiet, even though all the pitches were taken.
We will certainly return here in the near future.

May 2002 The site is situated on the main road between Whitby and Sandsend. Very dog friendly with a walking field adjacent to the site. Mostly static vans but hard standings for about 15 tourers. All the usual amenities and very clean. 10 minute walk to the beach then take your choice - left to Sandsend, small, quaint, and a couple of places to take breakfast or an evening meal or right to Whitby, seaside town and nice to prowl around. Dogs allowed on beach all year round except actually in Sandsend and Whitby. Don't bother with the bike - too hilly. Have visited twice, last October (2001) and this May. Will go again. Don't try and take your van up Sandsend Hill to the north unless you're towing with an Artic tractor unit, it's as bad as Sutton Bank - go inland, there are no sites for tourers after Sandsend.
