Great site, it was all very clean and tidy. We had our young daughter with us for the first time and had a great time. The quiet rule was a bonus for the baby at bedtime and very relaxing for us too! The location is great, it feels like your in the middle of nowhere but your really in the middle of everywhere in terms of stuff to do and see. Only down side I came across was the walk into town, it's a fairly fast / busy road and in places has no path's which is a bit nerve wracking when pushing a pushchair.

We were at this site last year for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. It was nice and peaceful and the no ball games rule suited us down to the ground. We asked the owners if we could play boules and they were happy for us to do so and took us to an area where we wouldn't interfere with anyone else. We got the impression it was just footballs and cricket etc. in case of potential damage and injury. We can see this could be a problem for families as there is little for them to do on the site.
It was a lovely break for us, the site is exceptionally clean and tidy and we would definitely recommend it if you are looking to put your feet up and relax

June 2005 visited the last week in June when weather was superb and campsite quiet in the weekdays. Facilities very good but a bit restrictive in where to pitch, park etc. Even though we are only 2 adults and there were no children onsite during the week, we didn't like the rule of no ball games. Have spent many a happy hour playing rounders, boules etc when our children were small.

July 2005 We are a family with older children so found the no-ball-games rule to be more of a problem than anticipated. Pitches were mostly good for tents but the site is beside a fast country road at one end. Facilities were always clean and the wardens were very on hand for hiring games equipment etc. We found it a bit claustrophobic as we prefer sites where there are less rules and more freedom; we actually left early and lost 4 paid for nights to achieve a more suitable place.

July 2005 Very nice site, lovely clean facilities, not for young children as it is very quiet and we felt we spent the whole weekend trying to keep our three year old quiet!
Nice walk to bellingham and a lovely river bank for picnics, would visit again if we did not have kids.

May 2005 Very pleasant, well presented site. Owners very friendly and helpful. Toilet, shower and dishwashing facilities were all very clean and tidy. Tent pitches were a good size and well apart. They were all reasonably flat too. There was a quiet time between 11pm and 7.30 am which was good.
Easy walking distance into Bellingham where there were a couple of pubs serving food, one even did takeaway food which was handy. There was a Co-op and a few other shops. Well positioned site for visiting Kielder A very enjoyable weekend was had by all

July 2004 What a beautiful site and new owners Dawn and Barry couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The toilet facilities are superb - the shower cubicles were really large with a proper bench to put things on and the showers were adjustable for heat and FREE too! Everything was very clean and in good condition - nothing broken or shabby as in some sites we've been on. Do try some of their free range eggs laid by their own hens. Sadly the hens weren't very obliging when we stayed in the hot weather, but we did get two eggs - brown speckled ones like the childrens' stopry books - and they were the best we've ever tasted. The tent pitches are a good size and not overcrowded. Bellingham itself is a bit of a disappointment, but the area is perfect for walkers and touring the area roundabouts. Can definately recommend this site, and hope to return sometime.

May 2004 A lovely little park, this is the first park the family camped at, on a sunny Friday evening the wife kids and I decided to give camping a go. We found this on the net gave them a ring and arrived Saturday. The owners were very friendly it has a small childrens play area plenty of peace and quiet and nearby shops with scenic walks. Ever since weve been hooked.

May 2004 Nice site, but let down due to the fact they don't allow ball games.
+ points Well marked pitches, not too close together Clean & tidy Shower/toilet block (requires £3 deposit & closed daily between 11:00-12:00 for cleaning). Location – 10 minute walk into Bellingham, 20 minute drive to Kielder water
- points No ball games = disappointed kids, midges

May 2004 A lovely site with good clean facilities, excellent base for touring all of Northumberland and surrounding areas. Very peaceful and fabulous views all around. A games room is on site with pool table and table tennis, a small tea room and shop. No ball games allowed so if you want peace and relaxation this is the one for you. Highly recommended we will be returning.
