Simply the best Club site we know, with campsite and campers exceptionally well cared for. The reception/shop was open with a range of camping equipment, maps and everyday foodstuff on sale, as well as a library of books and films to swap.
All the staff were extremely helpful, supplying printed information on local walks, a map of Bellingham and the bus timetable and town plan for Hexham.
The showers were temporarily closed, but the washing-up room, laundry and toilets were all open, immaculately clean and Covid-safe with a range of sanitisers, handwash and paper towels. There is a children’s play area, plenty of grassy space and free Wifi which worked well throughout.
The site is in a very quiet location in the Northumberland National Park, ideal for walking, cycling or star-gazing. Bellingham village, which lies on the Pennine Way as well as two national cycle routes, is a 20-minute walk away.
The shops include a Co-op, a butcher, a baker, an excellent second-hand bookshop, café and pubs (when open). Kielder Water and Forest can be reached by bicycle or vehicle, with its visitor centre and car parks.
It was our first visit to Bellingham but we do hope to be back.

Nice site, good facilities, friendly staff but very expensive. £35 for a couple per night is ridiculous even if it is a nice site.
Won’t be staying again.

Great site in idyllic location staffed by excellent and thorough staff. Visited during Corona virus period and preventative measures implemented in a very rigorous and professional manner.
Site located very near to Hadrians wall monuments and keilder forest and reservoir. Lots of activities in keilder lake surroundings to cater for younger visitors and views to take your breath away.
Only disappointment was not being able to visit Cragside. A long term wish, but circumstances prevented the house being open to visitors so a return visit is likely to be on the cards.
Well done Bellingham staff.

CClub phoned day before and said our original site was closed due to bad weather and rebooked us into Bellingham.
What a beautiful site, the owners clearly think about what campers enjoy and take pride in their site.
Shortly after we arrived, the site closed for new bookings too.
We were given a choice of pitch.
The site is beautifully maintained, with a games room, tv lounge, children’s playground and barrier entrance, exit.
Toilet facilities excellent, beautifully clean with radio 2 piped throughout and showers were hot with a good length of time on push buttons.
Because our planned trip had been based on things around the coast, we travelled over the moor on several days and whilst 1. 5 hr drive, it was a lovely drive and we still did all we had planned to do.
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, if in area.

This is a really great site. They have put a lot of thought into what is needed by campers staying here. The pitches are nice and not too close together. There is a games room with snooker table and table tennis table and a separate lounge room with TV.
The shower block is lovely with radio 2 piped through.
They hold various events throughout the year. I wish I lived nearer, I would be there regularly.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The village is lovely with Butcher, Greengrocers and Bakery.
Lots of lovely walks in the area.

A beautiful quiet site around 20 minutes walk from Bellingham. Care is required on the roads approaching the site but it is not difficult. I find Google street view invaluable in planning my journey.
Staff are very welcoming and can give you loads of information about the local area.
The pitches are level and fairly well sheltered and a good size too. The toilet block, if rather quaint is clean and adds a bit of character.
There are some excellent walks from the site into Bellingham and beyond or up onto the Pennine Way which passes right outside the site. Further afield, Hadrians Wall and Kielder Dam are within 30 minutes drive.
This area can be plagued by midges in the summer so best come prepared.

Great site, located just outside the village. The wardens are very helpful and we received a warm welcome on our arrival.
Its a 20 minute walk to the village where there are a couple of hotel/pubs serving meals, a supermarket and Chinese carryout place.
There seems to be regular events planned throughout the year here, and though it was our first visit, we will return.

We have just returned from this campsite. And I am pleased to say, that it lives up to a fantastic club site. Location from the village is about a mile, where there are a few pubs and grocery shops.
The toilet block has three showers in each male/female area. And although the site was full neither of us ever queued for the showers. The hardstanding pitch I had was perfectly level, although the grass pitches levelling would be required.
There is a games room with ping pong and pool and a campers kitchen for when the weather closes in.
Keilder forest is close by and worthy of a visit.
A word of warning -( if towing) just watch as you exit the barrier. A bit tight or I wasn't paying attention!
I would definitely recommend this site.
