Good site, lots of facilities. Laundry facilities are the best I've used yet. Showers are numerous and always clean, only down side in them is they are not powerful enough.
Electric pitches are only 10amp, so they could do better there. Meals in the on site bar/restaurant are excellent, very generous portions and good value for money.
Nice quiet site and not trying to be something they are not which is the problem we had encountered at our previous site. Shop has a good amount of everything and not over priced.
All in all very nice site, well recommended.

We had a couple of nights at Bagwell Farm and obviously days too. Bathed in glorious sunshine which made a nice change to the recent wet stuff. The site was pleasant enough but the advertised level pitches weren't really level, we had to buy levelling ramps from the site shop. The pitches are not very long but do provide plenty of width. The site shop was adequate and well priced.

The 4th year of going to Bagwell. Large clean site very old but clean toilets, long queues for showers then no water when you get in there. Yes they are building a new toilet block - eventually but this will be inadequate for the amount of people on site and most of the money seems to be going into their private residence. Roads broken up not re-surfaced for years. Lots of mud around due to heavy rain and attempts to resolve issues fell on deaf ears. Yes we will take your money but don't ask for anything else. How did they get 4 stars - will I be going back for a 5th year _ I think not !

Stayed here last week. Last visited 2001. How little has changed. Pitched in the bottom field which still has the oldest toilet block in Britain and the worst pitch drainage. The block has no hooks for clothing, no soap, no hand drying facilities. Told there was a new unit coming but still felt like forgotten customers. Did not see any cleaning staff all week in the unit. Main block was ok but as usual not enough showers for the numbers on site. On the positive side the red barn serves excellent food and drink in a lovely setting. Lets hope we have seen the last of the green toilet block!

Just returned from a great 2 week stay here. A lovely site, well laid out and spotlessly clean. The site is in a natural valley so most pitches have a gentle slope of some sort. The pitches are very large and clearly marked. We were up on the top terrace which was very quiet but there is not much room to maneuver your outfit onto the pitch, you will need good reversing skills or plenty of helpers! Most of these pitches seemed to have permanently sited vans on them however. There is no problem on the lower pitches. The toilet block was always clean and tidy, quite old but a new one is being built. The laundry and chemical disposal point are located here too. £2 for the washing machine and 20p/7mins for the tumble drier, there are 2 of each. It is quite a walk from the further pitches especially with a toilet cassette! There are plenty of water points but only 3 drains to empty your grey water so again you could be a fair way from a drain. There is a huge dog walking field with bin provided. Our 8 year old loved the play area and made lots of friends, there were a few tears at leaving time! It's located away from most of the pitches but is very safe and we could keep a eye on him from our pitch. There is a footpath from the site down to the Fleet and the coastal path. Also one across to the local pub. The Red Barn was open for breakfast and dinner every day. I would agree that the menu wasn't the most inspiring. I had the chile-con-carne and it was fine. There were no steaks etc available when we visited either. It was good to see that they had real ale on draught but I was very disappointed. It was the worst kept pint of 6X I've ever tasted, I just about managed the one! The shop was well stocked with everything you could need. There is a large Asda down in Weymouth and a Morrisons just outside Weymouth. All in all a good site that we would use again.

We stayed at the site for ten days. On arrival just as the shop was closing they knew nothing about us although I had phoned the day before to comfirm availability. I had asked for a hard standing, it was the bumpiest piece of tarmac I have ever seen. Reading the brochure we decided to have breakfast next morning only to find they were only available weekends. We went to the shop , the only bread was 1 brown loaf or a frozen white one and no newspapers [had to order one]. The brochure promised home reared steaks and lamb dishes but the actual mnenu was similar to a takeaway burger van both in price and quality.
The shop was otherwise wellstocked, the toilet blocks were well maintained and overall the site was good mainly due to two young foreign lads who seemed to be doing everything including scavenging for litter late on saturday night. I cannot comment on the play area as we have no children but the pets corner had four goats and three donkeys. Local pubs were quite good with the Lugger serving good food reasonably priced.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. The best site that we have stayed in so far. The on site shop is small but stocks everything - they put Tesco to shame! We were on pitch 29 which had a very very slight slope, our electric hookup wouldn't reach the point so they lent us one FOC - they also had them for sale in the shop. The Red Barn sells decent food at decent prices _ all freshly cooked, Burger (with mushroom, cheese and bacon)and Chips was £6 and came in a basket! Chicken Nuggets and Chips for the kids £4. Drinks were slightly below prices at home. They also serve breakfasts which are equally as good at £4 a head. They have donkeys, goats and geese for the kids to pet. The kids playground is good and visible from our pitch. The toilet blocks are very old but they are building a new one, having said that they are clean and kept up together, plenty of hot water and a free hairdryer. You can "hire" a family bathroom for £1 which has a bath with shower over, basin and loo - worth it if you have children to keep everyone together. Washing up area - small but adequate. Car boot sale on a Saturday and Sunday morning. Didn't go off the site for the time we were there - we wanted to relax! All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely go back. Walked along the farm track and came across their other site - West (East) Fleet - sorry cant remember what its called. Site looked to a similar standard again they were building new shower/toilet block. This site also had an outdoor swimming pool, shop, barn/pub and good playground.

We stayed in this site for 2 nights. Arrived at about 6:30pm and they were very helpful and friednly. Had a map given to show where to find our pitch. Had a little trouble finding the pitch number as it was dark, so couldn't see numbers of the pitches, so recommend a torch. Showers and toilets were very clean, showers were hot. Close to Weymouth, but far enough away for a relxing holiday too.

We spent a lovely few days at Christmas this year at Bagwell Farm, Very nice, clean and quiet site. Apart from struggling with the choice of uneven pitches (because of the length of our caravan) we eventually got it level after borrowing some of the concrete blocks available on the site. The Toilets and showers were clean but very cold which was a bit off putting. The waste water empty point was not at ground level and had to be lifted to be emptied which is not easy if you let the waste container fill completely so after that we emptied it more regular to save our backs. The site is very dark at night so a torch is advisable to take with you if you visit the shower blocks early morning before the timer switches the lights on. There is a good size field to exercise dogs which has a waste bin provided and is fenced off away from any traffic. An excellent site which we will visit again.

An excellent site which we would definitely visit again, very generous size of pitch with lots of water taps nearby. Only disadvantage was that the showers got very busy in the morning and the washing machines/tumble driers were also very popular. Althoug the super size tumble drier meant it didn't take long or cost much to dry all out clothes.
One of Bagwell's main assets is the Red Barn bar/grill, food was yummy and reasonable and the donkeys, goats and chickens nearby amused the children as did the play area and park. Very family friendly site.
Also very dog friendly with a good size exercise area on the site and the nearby dog kennels came in very handy to put out dogs in for the day to enable us to visit Monkey World.
The well stocked shop had food and camping essentials. All the staff were really lovely and the site brochure and information very informative. The site enjoys beautiful views across Chesil beach and the fleet and was about 10 minutes from Weymouth town centre.
