May 2004 Just got back from a great weeks holiday at Bagwell. This is a top site for families to stay at. The toilet blocks & showers are spotless even during half term. The Red Barn Pub & Restaurant are excellent & not pricey. If you want to chillout in the evening & watch amazing sunsets over the sea, then this is the site for you. We will be back very soon.

August 2003 Phew! What weather!..and what a site! Absolutely excellent. Brilliant continental atmosphere - especially with sunsets over the caravan terraces on the far side of the site beyond the the bbq smoke and the noise (sorry - the sound) of well behaved kids on bikes etc livening the place up. Has a really great "out-door" 'canopy style' dish wash area. Amenities all excellent and despite the size of the place there was never any real need to queue for showers. The showers are free and excellent. Iron and hair dryers run on 10Ps. Showers have loads of pressure - always hot (a bit of a problem this week with the heat-wave). Pitches nice and level in the most part for tents. Shop really reasonable and well stocked. Never troubled by overly watchful staff, came and went as we pleased. Very slick operation here. Couldn't fault this site at all. The only down-side to our stay was that it wasn't walking distance to Chesil beach. Quite a few money spiders and hover-flies in the evening but no nasties. Check-out HB lager in the the local free-houses 'gorgeous'. There's a big 'foody' pub type restaurant 'Marquis of Granby' quite close (5 mins by car) with the massive magnitude of the portions only equalled by the ineptitude of the supervisor who dealt with our complaint about what a "well done" steak should look like. Beware! A lot of places charr-grill their steaks. We could only tell it was a 'steak' through its dental records!!! Looked like it had gone through atmospheric re-entry. Could have sketched with it!! Aside from that I'd say steer clear of Weymouth town centre. A bit of a disappointment but everywhere else was fine. Highly recommended site if you're heading down that way. Top notch. Say no more.

July 2003 Just back from Bagwell farm. I can say with out doubt this site is well cared for. The shower/toliets spotless. Great location ideal for all around Dorset. The Red Barn is the sites Pub and food outlet. They do take away or eat in. The food and drink was great and not to overpriced. The staff are friendly and look after you. They have a excellent site shop thats not over the top on price. Entertainment could be improved!!! The only downsides on our holiday was Parking fees in Dorset "HIGH!" at around £1 per hour wherever you go at the yellow perils are everywhere so beware. Even at 10pm at night we saw 6 of them!!! Local attractions "what a rip-off" most charge around £7.50 addmission per person and few have family passes! Finally before we came away it said on the Dorset TV news that the Dorset Council are planning to charge the tourists a "Tourist Tax" because the waste and other services are in demand during the holiday period! - (What ever next!)

October 2002 The campsite was brilliant!! We went there to stay a night on a D of E expedition and thought that it was great. The showers and loos are clean and there are lots of facilities like a playground and table tennis table, and easy access to the nearby pub. There are also a number of washing machines and tumble dryers. People there are friendly and helpful. The campsite is well laid out, although some of the pitches slope a little bit. It's a great campsite; we really enjoyed staying there.
