Visited this site during the 1st weekend in June. Great location, only 10 min walk into Bala. Quiet site with alot of families around. Toilets/showers well kept and cleaned regularly.

Weather was poor all weekend but still had nice time. Good base to visit Llangollen, Barmouth & Bala.

Would recommend site and would visit again if in that area.

This is the second time on site, staff brilliant, toilets spotless, and well looked afte. We had a super pitch on both visits. Waste drain point on second visit was quite a way from our outlets but using empty asprin tub as y piece and tape together odd bits of pipe we sorted it. Pitches do slope and wheelchocks and levelers can be usefull on some pitches. No club or food but a good shop is on site, however town centre is only a 5 min walk with all banks shops food you could want (exept for an Indian.) I would reccomend this site as worth a stay and superb to explore the lakes of the area.

This campsite is lovely. The toilets and showers were really clean and loads of hot water, soap. Liked the radio too, if you timed it right you could keep up the happenings in the world with the news.

The owners were very helpful and gave lots of info on the surrounding area.

MIDGIES - being from the west coast of scotland didn't think too much about this but we had the citronella candles and the Avon woodlandfresh skin so soft spray. Most of the other visitors couldn't bear to sit out in the evening and went to bed early.

I would not hesitate in using this site if I am in the area again.

Nice campsite. Clean toilets and showers (with added Radio 2!). Pitches close together, but did not cause too many problems.

Shop was well stocked, Bala 10 mins walk.

Recommend this site to everyone!!

Found the site to be very well run and kept in good clean condition. The tent pitches were varied and some did slope but the clientel when we were there were excellent. All quiet by 10.30pm and we had the late night fly past by the RAF..nothing much to worry about..good fun. Bala is a nice town with good places to eat and only 1/2 a mile away past the superb Bala lake. A great steam railway runs the full length (about 4 to 5 miles long) and back stopping for tea at a great restored station and only £16 for a full family ticket..bargain. Only 100 yards from the site but first train runs at 11.50am so no noise probs. This site suits walkers or sailors etc as there is nothing to do at night but sleep. That said when we were there a camper accidently set fire to their tent causing the old Dunkirk spirit from us campers..no one hurt and the manager ( who I beleive only took over recently..great bloke) was quickly on the scene with firefighting gear and even put the family up in his own house to help them out..says everthing to me. Well worth a visit.

We found this site to be very pleasant, the only noise problems we had were a couple of RAF tornadoes flying overhead.

We had to pitch our tent on a slope which was a bit like being on the titanic. Overall the toilets and showers were perfect and the staff very friendly. The walk into Bala town is nice as is the view of the lake. The downside of this site is no play area for kids, but I would recommend it for a quiet stay.

We found this site to be well run, with friendly helpful staff.

The toilet / shower area was always well stocked with soap and loo roll, and more importantly very clean.

The camping field does slope gently but this did not cause too many problems.

On the down side, there is no play area for children and play space depended on whether or not the site was busy that day!

The site was very quiet at night with all campers abiding by the 10.30 noise ruling.

We were very impressed with this site and will definately be visiting again. The ground does slope but this is not too much of a problem if you adjust the trailer legs !! The loos were very clean, hot water for showers (free), washing, dish washing etc. Soap & loo roll in plenty. Lovely area, near Bala lake. Reasonable prices too. We found it a very quiet site (except for the owls who won't go to sleep at a reasonable time!) - with friendly robins & lots of other feathered friends.

We've just returned from this site and would highly recommend it. The toilets were very clean, the water constantly hot, there was soap and the hand-dryers worked. Free showers.

This is a small site with no attractions for children and no bar, so was pretty quiet. Good dog-walking in the lane and woods behind the site.

The only draw-back was the mud. We were in a folding camper with electric hook-up and the pitches are on a slope; because of this we had to park the car away from the trailer so couldn't use the 12 volt for our water. We had to be towed out on departure.

This was not an insurmountable problem and in no way detracted from the enjoyment of our stay.

We would definitely go back again.
