This is a lovely tidy well manicured site.
We were on pitch 32 which is fully serviced 10 m long pitch. Room for caravan and full awning but car had to be parked in front of caravan or awning.
Hard standing very good for pegging out
Not much room between pitches which is the only negative about our stay here.
Large green space for sitting out etc behind the caravan if you like being on full view. Lots of outfits had dogs which sometimes were a bit noisy.
Very high quality toilet/shower facilities and as someone has already mentioned, they never close for a ‘deep clean’.
Enormous cubicles with free body wash and hair conditioner which I never used as like most women I have my own favoured products
Only 2 wash up sinks so queues sometimes at busy times.
C D P unacceptable smells need attention-not the easiest to use.
Within easy walking distance of the lake and the town
Multiple opportunities to eat and drink - I had a lovely club sandwich and draft San Miguel at the White Lion
We tried Pale Hall for a special meal - surroundings and building beautiful 10 minute drive from the site. -our meal was disappointing but the tasting menu looked very interesting as the couple next to us were having it. Just a tad too expensive ☹️
Be careful when driving through the site gates-not as wide as in the picture here.
Overall, I don’t think this is a 5 star site but very nice stay all the same and we would come back if in the area.

Great site
We were positioned in the “nook” which is away from the main run of the site. This suited us fine as there were lots of children around enjoying the freedom to cycle and scooter til late on the main run.
Facilities were great!
Great location.
A little more pricey than most but worth it.
Definitely one to return to.

Staff helpful with everything from booking to local things to do. A very clean site with modern facilities, toilets/showers very clean with hot water a plenty.
Plate/pan washing a doddle with the sinks outside the shower/toilet block.
The pitches were a good size plenty of room for a side awning although we had a tailgate awning we adapted it on the side of the van to fit the pitch.
Pitch 13 lots of room and with the trees behind it gave a woodland camp feel.
Everyone around us was really friendly as we had lots in common.
The site is very dog friendly with everyone giving our Zach a pat on the way past.
We will be staying here again as it is a great base to explore the Welsh countryside.

Nice site. Stayed here for a night this summer.
Site was well equipped and presented, and pleasant staff, an on site shop, and was an easy walk into town.
Excellent. Would happily go back.

Arrived on site, easy enough to find although the entrance isn’t as large as it looks on their website, pictures make it look huge!
Our booking was made by phone and we were a little disappointed to find that we had been booked on one of the smaller pitches even though we have an 8 metre long motorhome so we didn’t get one of the new larger pitches as shown on the website.
Slate pitches we were on could do with some updating as the hardstandings are quite small and you step out on to grass (or mud from the last residents awning in our case) as they are only a few metres wide.
Pitches are very close together and lots of trees on site too. The site does have a new shower block and I was expecting pristine. Cobwebs on the shower room entrance inside, a layer of dust on door and shower dividers etc could have been cleaned better but the cobwebs had gone the next day.
I would personally prefer a more in depth clean rather than complimentary shower gel/shampoo which I’m not going to use.
Not a quiet site as near a very busy noisy road. Add that to the constant dog barking opposite us and the fact that there is a dog running freely around the site starting all the other dogs off barking didn’t help either.
At a sensible pace it’s a 15 to 20 minute walk into town with our dogs sniffing every blade of grass on the way! The lake for those that like the water sports is just a few minutes stroll with a very handy cafe.
Railway also very easy to get to. We would book again for a short stay only but lesson learnt we would make sure that we had one of the newer larger pitches which we prefer (and what we though we would get from their website photos) with our larger vehicle depending on the expected weather conditions.
