Graig Wen is beautiful, serene campsite. We enjoyed Panorama Pitch 1 with its spectacular view over the Mawddach Estuary.

Sarah and John are super hosts, they care very much about the area and their guests.

Just down the hill is the Maddach Trail which runs along the very edge of the water and gives breathtaking views almost every 100 yards!

Just over 3 miles away is Penmaenpool and the George III pub. This place is fantastic, the food, location, staff and, well, everything. Its super dog friendly and just very, very well done.

Barmouth is just up the coast with its airport sized beaches and everyone we met was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will be going back.

Solo Women Camping in a Tent.

Graig Wen is a very Safe, Stunning campsite for any women wishing to Camp solo. I have camped there solo for a number of years and it continues to be outstanding in every way!

John and Sarah with their team of staff have created an amazing haven for campers which offers a diverse range of activities, walking, cycling, birdwatching, just adoring the scenery.

Good facilities on site clean facilities, good on site shop where many basics and nice treats may be purchased.

All staff very friendly and happy to assist with anything.

Very friendly campers staying in a variety of accommodation options from - those with their own tents, on site Yurts, Shepherds Hut, motorhomes, campervans, self catering cottages and B & B -

This is an A1 campsite which never fails in providing a truly wonderful experience if you are looking for a campsite in an area outstanding area of beauty!

If you are a solo camper this is a fantastic site!

It’s been my second year at the site and my partner and I are planning to come back again next year.

Wonderful site, friendly staff, beautiful views and lots to explore.

Facilities are clean and tidy, lots to buy in the shop to keep you going.

One of the best sites I’ve been to.

 Serine campsite this one.

I don't think I've stayed anywhere as chilled, although you don't get quite the same sense up on the top camping area.

As the camp drops down the hill the better it gets. Only downside is the road if your in the top field.

Would stay here again.

 Brilliant facilities and area,

Owners were brilliant and helpful even though our group was big and sometimes loud,

Would come again to this site as I'm sure I didn't see the whole of what was about in the area

Great location, amazing 4 hour walk from site. Staff lovely, view from grassy area idyllic for sitting with coffee or wine. Overall lovely stay.

However, a little disappointed the area at each pitch was somewhat "shabby", the grassy areas were rather unkempt, whilst appreciate this maybe difficult, we have stayed on numerous sites where each pitch was very well maintained.

Mens loos not always pleasant, possibly need checking more than 1x day.

Would recommend tho, as location and staff excellent.

Booked 4 nights before I realised it was half term so was initially concerned that it would have been busy and noisy. But, no problems. Never had to queue for the lovely hot showers and it was the peaceful break we hoped for.

Freshly baked bread orders, stunning views and dog friendly. We got home today and have already booked a few days more in August. Will take bikes next time.

Arrived at 7pm on Sat of Early May BH. Late arrival pack kindly left for us.

Stunning views. Pitch was good with decent facilities very close by.

Friendly and helpful staff. Let us remain parked on the pitch past the midday departure whilst we fitted in a final walk on the Mon.

Mawddach Trail access brilliant. Beautiful woodlands.

We’ll be back for sure.

What a location! Easy to access from the main road - but the views over the Mawddach Estuary are stunning! Sarah was very friendly when we arrived and showed us to our pitch.

We chose this site because of it’s access to the Mawddach Trail - OK, it’s a bit of a climb back up from the Trail, but worth every puff and bead of sweat.

The site is well laid out for all types of users - the showers are probably the best we have come across.

Highly recommended - we wish we had the time to stay longer!
