We had a lovely long weekend break in a beautiful setting. Perfect location for coast, walking and flat bike trails with the kids. It was also a great place to meet up with other members of the family who did not want to camp as they were able to stay in the holiday cottages.

Fantastic views. Lots of space, first time to wild camping and not put of, looking forward to booking our next trip. Ideal location for zip world and snowdon, which were the purpose of our trip. Amenities were good. Lovely walks. Would highly recommend if you don't mind walking and hills.

Absolutely wonderful in every respect. A warm welcome, stunning views, excellent value and a perfect location. The whole ethos is appealing and relaxing and the perfect place to camp, glamp, b&b or self cater if a 'cool' place is your idea of heaven! Can't wait to go back!

5 stars for location. 5 stars for customer service. 5 stars for friendliness. Best site for views and back to nature. The site is well laid out and no one is close to you. Very peaceful. Would return again and again

A beautiful clean site with excellent facilities. Stunning views from panoramic pitches. Path down to the mawddach trail very steep and a climb back up with bikes but worth it. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was tight getting up the drive and into pitches with our motorhome at 7. 4 metres.

This is my second visit to Graig Wen and I am sure there will be many more. I absolutely love pitching my caravan here. Last year I was on the panorama pitch which gives breathtaking views up the Mawddach Estuary and over the surrounding mountains. From the top, you can walk down through the camping area through a gate and onto the Mawddach Trail, a walk between Dolgellau and Barmouth. This year, I was sheltered under the trees, which was just as good.

The toilets and showers are clean and well maintained. They have thought of everything including a small 'honesty' shop for when you can't quite make it down to the village to get milk and other essentials.

The staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly and there are maps, guide books. (and a tasty selection of beers!) in the office shop.

Highlights of my trip this year were The Torrent Walk, a walk across the Barmouth bridge from Fairbourne (free parking at the station) to sit and read my book and have a leisurely lunch at The Last Inn in Barmouth, dinner at Salt Marsh in Twywn and coffee and the most delicious cake at T. H. Roberts in Dolgellau.

Had a fantastic time over the August bank Holiday, the hard standing pitch was ideal for our needs. Dogs must be on leads at all times which is good. Stunning views and friendly staff, if you like walking this is a perfect place to stay, clean showers and toilets. If you have kids there is a good play area. The shop is very well stocked and has an honesty box. Loads of things to see on site. Well done guys you made our stay perfect.

There is only one word to describe this revelation of a campsite. Incredible!

The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, as is the location of the pitches. We camped on the family field and I simply didn't want to leave! Wow, wow and wow some more, Graig Wen is the best site we've ever been to. The stars shine brighter than anywhere else, the birdsong seems louder and the air is so fresh and clean; it was a pleasure to drift off to sleep!

Facilities - more than adequate, though I don't measure a campsite on its shower block!

I love the tree bog with its flowers and Faerie lights; I love the way the wild and verdant land tumbles down to the estuary and bike trail, and I love the little honesty shop - how utterly liberating a break at Graig Wen is! :)

On a third visit I must say Graig Wen never fails to delight, and even during two days of heavy rain it is beautiful. There is so much to do in this very beautiful area come rain or shine. Camping here is as close to nature as you will get on a campsite with full facilities. It is never crowded as the pitches are so well spaced, each with its own character. There are two glorious touring pitches with estuary views. If you want peace, beauty, solitude and a great view from your tent you can find it here. Don't come if you want to party into the night. Don't come if you want to park your car next to your tent. You can have your gear taken to your pitch by mini jeep if you arrive at the right time otherwise there are wheelbarrows. Don't come here if your children will mind long walks to the facilities. Staff are lovely - extremely helpful and welcoming, everything has been thought of, each year there are thoughtful improvements. You can buy everything you need for your first nights meal on site, firewood can be delivered to your tent. For me, Graig Wen is perfect.
