Just had a week there with my wife & collie dog. Fantastic place and would recommend it to anyone. We had a Kingfisher super pitch which meant we had a water supply, waste & television hook up(useful as could get nothing using our aerial)Toilets & showers were nice as you had a room to yourself and never a queue (admittedly it was a quiet week so don't know about peak holiday times! Staff were accommodating and even managed to move our booking on a week due to my tow vehicle being incapacitated when we should have been going. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the road to the site is very narrow, but caused us no problems whatsoever. It's a tranquil but busy site with a lovely view of the Marina and passing boats on the river. The Waveney arms is a pub/restaurant on site with a patio area where a relaxing drink was most welcome after a day sightseeing. The food was excellent with a wide choice at reasonable prices. All in all one of the nicer sites we've been to.

Have just returned from a weeks stay, we were in a motorhome on a Kingfisher pitch, with excellent views to the marina. We used the ferry a few times and took the 50 min walk into Oulton Broads through the fields, where a couple of times we used the train from Oulton Broad north straight through to Norwich (30 mins)and also to Lowestoft from the same station. We choose our holidays when children have returned to school, so the campsite was mainly couples and on the 2 occasions we used the pool we had it to ourselves, it was a good size and very clean. The Waveney Inn food was excellent, good portions and price reflected the quality of the food, we eat there 3 times in all. We also stayed in the Captains Cabin for 1 night as it was our anniversary, lovely spacious room and a great nights sleep, with breakfast included in the price. We hired one of the boats for a morning and thoroughly enjoyed our trip into Beccles. All facilities were good and staff very friendly, will definitely return to this campsite as 1 week was not long enough for us.

We visited Waveney river centre in August for a four night stay being our first ever camping trip wasn't sure what to expect and being 50 yrs + between us we were a tad nervous ! Well what a fantastic stay. Site is brilliant got everything you need shop well stocked and same prices as I pay in my local shop, bar/ inn fantastic beautiful food and lovely friendly staff ! Separate toilet block immaculate and separate wet rooms which house shower toilet sink and hairdryer, there is a kitchen room by toilets where you can wash up if you need to waste disposal etc and the pool is fab ! We stayed on bitten row had a fantastic view of boats from our tent I'm not going to say what plot number because it was so good we want to book it next year ! Very helpful staff even a guy greets you on your plot once you've checked in at reception to show you where to set up ! I really didn't want to review In case it gets too booked up but so good it deserves a review !

Had a fantastic week at Waveney River Centre, on land and water, nice staff and customers, friendly bar with decent food, quite a remote site, but everything you need on site, gas and basic essentials in shop.
If you want to be near the water, this is the site for you.
We liked it so much we have booked for the same time next year

This was our first outing in our new touring van. Are from the area so didn't want to travel to far. Excellent family friendly site. Lovely rural surroundings, plenty of walks available. Clean and well kept. Showers and toilets excellent and no extra cost. Plenty to do in the area. Nice indoor pool, again included in the price which was a bonus. Enjoyed our stay, so much we have made another booking.

This was our second camping trip here and came back as it was such a good experience before. The camping pitch is large and the hedges in between pitches allow for extra privacy which is nice. A worry of mine is always showers etc on sites but I have to say the toilet blocks, showers, washing up areas are all immaculately clean and seemed to have just been cleaned every-time I needed to use them - fantastic.
The location of camping pitches are close to all facilities on site including shop, laundry which is a bonus.
The Pub on site serves great home cooked food at reasonable prices and has lovely views from the outside terrace over the fields.
The site is a good mix of adult and family friendly with great facilities including a pool and play area and nice walks for dogs.
We hired a day boat which is pretty pricey for the day but it was a great to spend a relaxing the day on the Broards, we headed to Beccles which is a nice place to have lunch and do a bit of shopping.
Would highly recommend this camp site and look forward to returning.

Our first ever time camping and the campsite was excellent. It was well maintained very clean and tidy. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone thinking of camping to go here, with excellent facilities for all age groups and disabilities.

I can't see how it gets any better than this campsite! We pitched right next to the marina watching the boats come and go. The site is south facing so we had the sun all day. Our pitch had a small wooden fence in front that made us feel like 'this is our bit' which was great. It has a great pub, swimming pool with 'hot tub' and easy to use clean washing facilities about 30 seconds walk away. Fantastic place and I congratulate all the staff on their daily contribution to a great place. Keep up the good work. We'll be back!

This was my second visit in my touring caravan but I visit twice a year whilst on my boating holidays, March & October.
I decided to stay last minute, whilst in the area & my telephone booking was very quick and efficient and I arrived some 30 mins later.
Check in was very easy & pleasant.
I was given a Kingfisher pitch which is right at the back of the touring area with great views of the Marina, river and surrounding area.
The pitches have been made hard-standing / gravel since my last visit (Jan 2016)and the road way hardened plastic / grassed which would make pitching easier on a rainy day, which this was not.
The river is easily accessible for fishing which I did on my last day, relaxed by the river boat watching.
The Waveney Inn has a good selection of drinks available and very reasonable prices.
I did have a look in the new restaurant but did not eat on this occasion.
The site was busier than Jan 2016. But the showers were kept extremely clean.
All in all. Another fantastic visit. Will definitely return.
Thanks to all the staff.
