We stayed at Waveney River Centre for a long weekend at the end of the February half term holiday. It was very quiet then with only a few other touring pitches used and all the camping pitches empty. The touring pitches are at the top of the hill and overlook the site and the river and boat moorings which is very nice. The pitches have hedges separating them and are very tidy. The shower / toilet rooms were clean and good to use and the under floor heating was a bonus in February. The swimming pool which was free to use with the pitch price is excellent. Its a good size for children and adults to have fun in and the hot tub is good too. On site there is also a shop which was well stocked, and a pub for meals or drinks. There is also a ferry which you can pay to cross the river on, if you want a long walk over the marshes the other side. It was our first stay here and we will visit again. If there is one minor issue it is that in the winter the field gets a bit soggy and it took me a couple of tries and a run up to manage to get onto the pitch. However, once I got in place my family had an excellent weekend break there.

Small but perfectly formed site. If you are looking for a peaceful get away in beautiful surroundings then this is the place for you! The swimming pool is AMAZING! Extremely clean, very warm water and warm air temperature. Great park for the kids, very helpful staff who went out of their way to help me. Shower blocks are fabulous, clean and hot!

A great site for a winter break. Lovely pitch overlooking the river and marina. Tried the pub for tea on the first night but they had a function booked. Not a problem as they have a take away menu. Eat in the pub second night. Nice pint and good food. The pool was the main reason for choosing this site. The shop had limited supplies due to the time year but it provided us with fresh milk.
The only slight down side that was unavoidable was the state of the roads in the local area. Not only were they narrow but they were very muddy.
We said we will go back in the summer. The local area has walks and boat hire in season.

I normally visit the Waveney River Centre by the river whilst on my three times a year boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads.
This time however, I decided to take a short break in my newly purchased caravan. (Friday & Saturday night).
The booking was extremely easy via telephone as was my arrival in the clearly marked route via the main road. (single lane with numerous passing places).
Check in was very friendly as well as the good on site information given.
My pitch was a Kingfisher. Which was on high ground with electric and water hook up and fantastic view of the Marina and Norfolk skies.
The shower rooms are heated and all contained (shower / toilet / basin / hair dryer etc) and very clean.
The Waveney Inn (on site pub / restaurant) is extremely well laid out and serves numerous ales, lagers & wines etc etc.
Food wise, I decided on a Blue Cheese burger, which came with fries, salad, onion rings & coleslaw, which was delicious.
I intended to do a spot of fishing but chose to relax, which is very easy here.
All in all. A great experience and I will indeed return (by boat first).
Highly recommend the Waveney River Centre.

This is the most scenic and lovely site we have visited up to yet. We live in Norfolk and stayed local due to the poor weather we are getting up North. The staff on site are very welcoming and were on hand for any reason.
The food in the on site pub/restaurant was fantastic and as we dine out regularly this was a massive bonus.
With recently revamped indoor heated pool and jacuzzi building this was a great way to spend the long winter evenings.
We will definitely be coming back next summer to make full use of the great access to the Norfolk Broads and the local boat hire facilities.

Spent 3 nights here, lovely site very helpful and friendly staff.
The Waveney Inn is a very pleasant and bright place, swimming pool and jacuzzi has good changing facilities. Shower blocks kept clean, laundrette with 2 machines 2 dryers plenty of leaflets on things to do in area. Will be going again next year. Site shop has a good range of foods including frozen, newspapers and magazines. A really impressive site.

Lovely site, just went for 2 nights but will definitely be back. Facilities great, showers were best we have seen, they were wet rooms with sink, toilet and hair dryer too! The Waveney inn was really nice with relaxed atmosphere, the kids loved the bean bags! Staff were very friendly and helpful. My son loved the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. We were a bit disappointed that we were not told that there was a private function on one of nights we stayed the Waveney inn was closed from 3pm, I called before to ask about entertainment too. My son was disappointed that the pool table was out of order too.

Just had a great weekend first visit. Weather very foggy on the Sunday so got a takeaway meal from the Waveney Inn. It is dog friendly but mine do not like being in crowded places, food was very good. So went back to the Motorhome. Very clean & tidy site. Didn't use the swimming pool but looked ok. Very good shop. Showers very warm & clean. Toilets also. Cannot wait to return. Road very narrow going down to the site.

This was our first holiday in our brand new ford terrier and we spent weeks on end trying to pick the right place, we opted for the Waveney river centre and we were not disappointed, as soon as we drove in you could see how special it is and how well looked after as well, people always refer to sites as spotless but here it has been done to a very high standard with heated showers and toilets, the Waveney inn is lovely with great food and the most genuinely friendly staff I have ever come across there is a swimming pool and boat hire and a well stocked shop on site on as well, my only fault I could find is the single track road coming in is scary but I still used it daily with no problems!we will definitely be back.

We loved this campsite. A wonderful setting on the river Waveney. Very clean, well kept site. Lovely showers & washing facilities. The kids loved the indoor pool though it can get busy in bad weather & numbers are restricted so make sure you go early if it's raining. They enjoyed the play park too. The staff on-site we're very helpful & polite. The weather was awful when we stayed but we still enjoyed it. Our site, Heron, was a bit small but there are larger ones. If you like a bit of peace & nature, you'll like this site.
