The first thing you notice is that the entrance is not full of potholes - what a refreshing change!
We stayed on the touring area which has a LOT of caravans which was ok for us as we are an older couple with a small tent however for families or those preferring more space the tent field is very spacious.
The couple who manage the site are very helpful. The check in was smooth and they showed us to our pitch and how to use the EHU. The site is well lit and the facilities are immaculate.
If there is poor weather there is a games room with TV and books. There is also a campers kitchen where you can use the freezer for ice blocks.
It also has a microwave kettle and fridge. There is also a BBQ area for hire situated near the children's play area.
Park and ride into York is about 2 miles away and the Air Museum about 10 mins drive.
We shall be returning to this site at a future date.

What a beautiful site with the most welcoming, friendly people running it.
The facilities were nicer than my bathroom at home, spic and span.
Love that fact there's taps and bins around the site so you don't have to constantly walk across the site.
Everything was so well maintained and cared for. Good size pitches, pay what you use electric hookup but we only used £3. 45 over 3 and a half days so hardly anything. They refund what you don't use as well, we'd put 20 quid on!
There's a little bit of road noise so it's not in the middle of no where, as you can see from Google maps, but it didn't intrude on the stay at all.
Absolutely no complaints or criticisms from us and our two doggies. What a wonderful place.
You won't be disappointed. Will definitely be returning.

It was our second visit to this wonderful site.
The site is well maintained and its facilities are immaculate, but above all it has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
We look forward to future visits.

A fabulous site, near Dunnington village on the outskirts of York. Level pitches with hardstanding and metered electric (we used just under £5 a night and that was for heating 2 x tv, kettles, lighting etc. )
Lovely hosts and wardens make a great team, showers and toilets spotless with piped music all day, a huge flat tent field, recreation area with table tennis, library, and a kids play area opposite.
We stayed 5 nights and won't be the last time we visit.
Would give 11/10 if I could.

This is a very well maintained site and one we would happily recommend and return to. The facilities are excellent and clean. Great value too.
The electric posts record the amount of electricity used and the charge is therefore based on this and is a fair way of doing it.
Locally there is a pub serving food, petrol station and bus stop to York (£2) which is only about 15-20 mins away.

Met on arrival and given extensive tour of facilities and shown to a perfectly manicured pitch.
All facilities were spotlessly clean and warm.
The site was pretty well full despite the time of year, but it was also very peaceful.
I have no problem with giving this site my wholehearted endorsement and will definitely be visiting again in the next season
