We have stayed here over the Whitsun half term. The site is really easy to find, and the wardens were very helpful and friendly. Our pitch was hard standing for the motorhome and grass for its awning - which suited us just fine.
Facilities are clean and modern. It is also very easy to get into York, using the park and ride which is less than 10 mins away. Great play area for kids the whole site had a very friendly safe feel about it. If we return to York we will be using you again!
Highly recommended.

Excellent very clean and tidy site. Facilities brilliant, only here 2 nights but very good with great access to York on local buses.
Warden who dealt with us was very helpful and knowledgeable about local services. Good pitches and very quiet. Would use this site again.

Great site good facilities, the staff and owners were very helpful and welcoming their local knowledge was very useful
Good size hardstandings, electric hook up and water services were very close
Although we didn't use it the small shop was well stocked with essentials
Would certainly use this site again

It is a well kept site, nicely sheltered with nice clean showers and toilets. Wardens were very nice and friendly especially the couple with the dogs, they even left a birthday surprise for our dog. It has a laundry room and they didn't over charge for the use of the washer or dryer. The only downside was that there was not a small dog area set aside where you exercise the dogs 1st thing in the morning or last thing at night and no dog waste bin. Other than that it was a very pleasant site

We have just spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks at this site. Immaculate and spotlessly clean facilities. Washing machines tumble dryer and ironing facility's. Lots of spacious dishwashing facilities and a freezer for freezer blocks. Pitches are level and large with plenty of space between, The site is a credit to those who run it. They are friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area giving us information on cycle routes and bus times. Nothing is too much trouble. It was a real joy to stay there. Location is also ideal with regular bus routes into York. Park and ride to York is 10 mins drive away. Cycle routes are close by as are walking opportunities. The village of dunnington is a 10 min walk away and is very pleasant with a few local shops and a pub (Cross Keys) which does good food. Highly recommend this site.
Thank you
Brent and Debra

Really enjoyed our recent weekend visit. Checking in went very smooth and was personally shown to your pitch and given all the relevant information about the site and local area. Shower block was always kept very clean and tidy and had never to wait for use. York is a short bus ride away and the village is easily walkable in about 10 mins. We will recommend and definitely return when visiting the area again.

We stayed over bank holiday lucky to get a space at short notice. We were in the back tent field which has approximately 23 pitches most with ehu. The wardens on site are very friendly, toilet and showers kept clean, washing up area with 3 sinks indoors small room with freezer and microwave. The play park looked quite new. The internet connection is not very reliable but maybe this was because we were in back field. Very handy location for york attractions. The only thing that let the site down is the very close proximity to a very busy noisy road which we were not expecting.

Spent 4 lovely nights at this campsite, can not fault anything.
Lovely clean toilet/shower block, 20p for 5 minutes more than enough, 20p for the hairdryer too. Also access to microwave, where there is a spare electric socket. Washing machine/dryer available at a cost, 2 sockets are in this area where you can use the iron/board Easy to walk to village 10min for shop or local bus for york. Or on the main hull road (4mins walk) to get buses in to York. One night we stayed out later and a taxi was £13 approx back to campsite as only weekend for late buses. The site is lovely and you feel very safe. Very friendly too. It has a wee shop on site only open for an hour in the morning and in the evening but if you arrive someone is always on site to open it to book you in. Had visited this site often in the past and we were delighted to return here after a busy few years for us to find it was still a little gem.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is close to the Grimston Bar Park & Ride so ideal for day trips into York. There is no sign post for the site into Haggs Lane but still really easy to locate using Sat Nav. The site is well run and kept clean and tidy throughout. The wardens are welcoming and informative and the pitches level, well drained and sheltered. Toilets and showers are very clean, 20p shower for 5 minutes on a digital display timer! You can't really fault the place. The peace and quiet on the Saturday night was spoilt by a neighbour riding a noisy trial bike up and down until well after 21:30h which may have been an issue for those with younger kids.
We didn't try the local pub and shops since our stay was simply as a stop-over whilst visiting the city and taking a steam train ride from York to Carlisle, and for this it was absolutely ideal. Thank you Ashfield!

What a great site. Everything that you need is here, a warm welcome and all questions answered. Walked into Dunnington in about 10 mins where there is a small well stocked supermarket, a butchers that does lovely Pork Pies and a good Pub called the Cross keys. We only stayed the one night but the weather was glorious and we enjoyed our stay. Didn't have time to figure out the ease to get to York on public transport but all the information was pinned up on a notice board.
