I had read good reviews of the site and also comments that many pitches were taken for one or two nights. The reviews were correct. Most were tented campers in their own field at the top of the site, the remainder were campervans and motorhomes on hire and doing NC500 Route. So most mornings were a hive of activity with tourists leaving the site.
The two main toilet facilities were fine. Small with push button showers. Sadly the site team had cut the grass on the camping field and campers had trailed the grass into the toilet block. The cleaner did a great job every day but early morning it was a mess!
The site is within easy walking distance of the town, shops, bars and restaurants. We took the opportunity to visit a local smokehouse to purchase Hot Smoked trout and salmon at very reasonable prices. The ferry goes from Ullapool to Stornaway twice a day for those wanting to visit the Islands.
A good site, well positioned.

Excellent location within walking distance to Ullapool town centre.
Clean site with a great view across the loch, and possible to walk on the foreshore directly from the site.
Plenty of pubs within walking distance and Ullapool, is definitely worth a stop

I have been using this site for several years now as an overnight stop when travelling between further north and Inverness when the bus services do not mesh.
Easy walk into town for the best fish and chips in Britain at the Seaforth Chippy (they won BBC Food Programme Takeaway of the Year), or stock up in Tesco if needing food for my trip.
Friendly staff on site.
Shower and toilet blocks are spotlessly clean.
Laundry on site
If you arrive early you might get a pitch with a view out over Loch Broom.

Staff friendly efficient at desk. Site clean and well maintained. Àll facilities spotless. Upgraded since last visit with new hard standing and EHU. Great site for longer stay or one nighter.
Excellent location for overnighter before boarding ferry. Tent pitches still available at end of at each end of shore front and the higher level behind reception.
Local stores have everything I need, including consumables for some small repairs. Enough pubs and eating place to ensure variety.
I have been visiting many years and will continue to do so.
On child friendliness score given 5 as no kids in group but plenty of kids on site. Appeared happy enough.

Nice park, lots of spaces with lovely view of loch Broom.
Toilet and shower facilities were not good, unclean with lots of spiders webs etc coming through from vaulted roof

Great site, facilities top class, lady at reception was great, happy and friendly and made you feel at home,
Minutes from shops and restaurants on front harbour, beach and the ferry arriving at harbour,
Beautiful views of mountains and glens from campsite.
Campsite quiet throughout night, great sleep. 🙂 9/ 10

We have stayed at this site many times and find it very well located with good facilities.
Great views over the entrance to Loch Broom.
Can be quite busy but we always seem to find a quieter pitch at the far end of the site.
One of our go to sites.

Ok as site off the ferry for one night only.
Bit expensive - overloaded unclean facilities -
Avoid if for more than a night although in village which is charming
