We have just returned from our third annual visit. This is a lovely, peaceful, well kept CL type site, spotless san. Facs. , easy reach of delightful town and access to the network of cycle/walking routes. The deserted beaches (in June) are 10 mins drive away, providing miles of uninterrupted flat sand. The owners provide a personal welcome and service, making us feel honoured guests and anxious to return. Highly recommended site, booking advised in busy times.

We have stayed at La Bucaille in May and September for the last two years. This is one of the best sites we have ever visited, peaceful and with scrupulously clean modern facilities (including a fridge if needed. ) Mark and Mel are very welcoming and caring owners, who go that extra mile to ensure that their visitors are happy. The town of La Haye du Puits is within walking distance, lots of shops, restaurants and plenty to see. There are a number of supermarkets such as Super U, Lidl and Aldi within a 10 mile radius. Within easy distance there are miles of sandy beaches stretching the length of the coast. Two of our favourite places are Barneville Carteret on the west side of the peninsula and St Vaast le Hague on the east, both places have lovely harbours, fresh fish to buy, quaint shops, great restaurants and walks. We would most certainly recommend La Bucaille for those in search of a peaceful holiday in idyllic surroundings. We shall certainly be back!

We have just returned from our second visit this year, to this truly lovely campsite. Mel & Mark, the young couple who own the site are a super couple who have worked hard to provide the perfect place to enjoy France, they are the perfect hosts, nothing is to much trouble for them, always stopping to chat to their. Guests
The site is perfect, so pretty, tranquil and beautifully looked after. The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean, the entire site is of a very high standard. Exception value for money, so glad we found it!
The local town of La Haye du Puits is only five mins away by car, it has several super restaurants, all serving lovely food at excellent prices. , and numerous shops, and a Vet is in the town to deal with Pet Passport etc at really reasonable prices. A market takes place in the town main area each Wednesday, and is a treat to visit.
The site is ideally placed to visit places of interest relating to the war, etc, in fact there is always somewhere to go and something to do, or the perfect site to just relax and recharge your batteries, and it is only approx a 45 min drive from the port of Cherbourg.
We have already booked for 2016. Thank you both for another blissfully restful holiday.

This is the second time we have stayed on this wonderful site and it was just as good as the first stay. Mark & Mel are very friendly and greet you with a warm welcome, if you need anything you only have to ask. The site is ideally situated only a 5 minute drive to town where there a great selection of restaurants and shops. A 10 minute drive in the opposite direction there is a huge beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. The site is very well maintained and the shower and Toilet block is kept spotlessly clean by the owners. Needless to say we will be back again in the near future as do many of their customers who seem to go there year after year, which is not surprising as there is so much to see and do.

We have just returned from spending two weeks at this site.
Mark and Mel are really friendly and keep the site spotless, this is a small site with about 7 pitches but all have loads of space in between.
The toilets and showers are kept immaculate and there is always plenty of hot water.
The DDay beaches are within easy reach to visit, there are some lovely beaches to visit. Le Haye de Puits is the nearest town a few minutes drive and has everything you need. Supermarkets and Petrol Stations are also close by.
We will certainly be visiting again!

Guys what a beautiful camp site.
It is such a lovely laid out site and the owners Mel and Mark are so thoughtful nothing is too much trouble. The site holds approximately 7 pitches and it is not rowdy at all. Even those people who brought children were well behaved. The toilet and shower block was cleaned thoroughly each day. Constant hot water at all times. Pitches were exceptionally lovely and large, we had enough room to put up event shelter to take shade and do cooking.
The town La Haye du Puits is walkable but we went by car. There are a few good supermarkets and fab restaurants there. There is a main pertol station which is quite cheap to tank up if you need to on the way home which is what we did. To the left of the site is the route to the beach which is also good and not to far to drive. There is plenty of free parking there and it is clean.
Site is located central to main routes to everywhere for those who want to get out and explore the area. The only bad thing about the site is that we had to come home! Booked for next year already. Site is simply heaven!

A return visit to this site. Once again we were struck by the high standards in every aspect, from the cleanliness of the sanitary block to the state of the grounds. Mark and Mel work hard to keep it like this. It is reassuring to have a caravan engineer on site! As hosts, Mark and Mel strike a balance, always available but not intrusive, the feeling is that we are guests and not merely clients - a difficult balance to achieve! We are not the only visitors to book for next year as we left, which speaks volumes for the site and it's owners.

This is one of the best small campsites we have stayed on before in France. The site is just beautifully laid out and so peaceful and quiet. We had a superb pitch with so much space around us. The owners Mel and Mark are just delightful. So friendly and helpful and what a welcome we received. The facilities on site are cleaned continually to a very high standard. The site is within walking distance of La Haye du Puits and we enjoyed the two restaurants there and the weekly market. We like cycling and the site is perfectly situated for many cycles routes. The site is also in easy reach of many beautiful beaches and pretty towns and villages. We will definitely be returning here. It really is 5 star. Thank you
