 This is one of the best pitches we have ever had. We had our own tree lined little garden, complete with picnic bench. And had we wished, a fire pit.
This site is ideally situated for walkers, as there are lots of excellent walks directly from the site. Just up the road is the Bull's Head Pub, we had an excellent Sunday lunch there but you do need to book as it's very popular. There's also an excellent café next door to the pub.
The site facilities were plentiful, lots of toilets, showers and washing up, but the they were cold and the toilets needed a clean.
I've noted that in reviews from the summer it says that they are cleaned daily, so maybe it was just that we were there at the end of the season, and on reflection we should have mentioned the cleaning to the owner.
We didn't actually meet the owners of the site, you ring when you get there. They rang while we were there to check everything was Ok (I would have mentioned the toilets then but they rang my husband and I was ironically at the toilet. )
Would we come again? Yes

Brilliant quite site clean, well looked after
All the amenities you may need electric hook up, freezer well maintained toilets and showers.

Lots of loud screaming kids on both nights until late and from early in the morning,
Site was otherwise very peaceful in a natural setting.
Hot running water in the field was a bonus and the Internet connection was great.

The walks were great from the Motorhome monash is a great base.
Site manager very helpful and attended when problems arise.
Motorhome pitches need hardcore attention to avoid any problems.

Brilliant site. Nicely located for lovely walks.
Clean facilities.
We love the fact that the pitches are secluded and you’re not in one big field.

Lovely find of a site, stayed in meadow 6. Sheltered shady and good facilities.
Superb pub 3 mins walk up road.
A little noisy until midnight with campers over the hedge, but we are all there to have a good time.
Arrangements by text in advance worked very well.
Would stay again

Fantastic site. Friendly and helpful contact whilst booking and arrival with Garry.
Nice partioned off smaller sites with pitches; I’m not a fan of one huge field with a free for all pitching.
Choice of pitches - higher up with views in a meadow with 8 other (much larger) tents or more private pitches with bushes etc around nearer the road. Facilities were great, the showers and toilets seemed to be cleaned at least twice a day.
Fridge, freezer and even a microwave were available. There was hot water to wash up with on the top meadow sites (and drinking water) as well as the main ablutions block down a short path. I was really impressed and I’ll definitely return.
My only gripe was the large family groups with young kids in the meadow I was pitched in kicking footballs for hours, which nearly knocked over my fire pit plus the adults were a bit noisy at night.
But not the fault of the owners at all, as the pitches were well separated with picnic tables separating and that’s just a reality of camping 😊. Garry did offer a different pitch if I wanted it and checked I was happy, which was appreciated.
Pub down the road had good food, but got very busy so perhaps book if you’re a group. Lovely walks along Lathkill dale. 10/10.

Very friendly site, especially owners who are so helpful.
The price is very good.
The showers need a revamp but I didn’t have to queue.
Loved being on a working farm. A brilliant location for Lathkill Dale.

Facilities are good and staff were welcoming.

Nice quiet site with nice private plots
But the toilets and showers are very dated and shabby.
The site was very expensive for the standard of the facilities.
