The campsite is lovely and quiet, facilities are lovely and clean.
It is in a great spot with a pub in walking distance.
There are many stunning walks from the site and Bakewell is just a 10 min drive away.
Highly recommended, we will be back!

Firstly, the staff were so, so lovely, we had a teething baby with us who screamed for the whole 4 nights and they couldn’t have been nicer.
The site is well kept, pitches were clean, safe and tidy and showers and toilets are totally spotless, I’ve never seen such clean facilities at a campsite, the family showers were a godsend with a toddler.
Picnic benches were a great addition to pitches. The local pub does fab food, as does the cafe and the local walks are gorgeous.
The only downsides for us were sadly things the campsite has no control over, the nearby roads are busy and I found them noisy, the campsite is underneath a flight path and though distant, there are planes flying all through the night and there is a lot of light from the village.
There are also an insane amount of rules, none of which bothered us as we weren’t up to much with a teething one year old and were in bed by 8pm.
If you want a good, clean, safe base as a young family to explore the dales, it’s fab. If you want slightly more freedom and want to be very rural, it’s not for you. I probably wouldn’t go with older, louder children as it’s a peaceful site, but hopefully we will return with our little one.
It’s a more formal type of campsite than I’m used to but very, very friendly.
The only other downside was no local shop- come loaded with goodies unless you want to drive or are happy dining out.

This site, was perfect for our needs. Three families, each with with two adults and two children (aged between 11 and17).
We were all able to stay in one 'meadow': a secluded area with great views. Electric hook up for those who needed it; a water pipe near by. Decent facilities on this site, too.
We bought logs for an evening fire. Quiet policy from 10pm -8am. Local pub did great food.
Nice walk nearby.

Travelled with two groups, friends both with children, old and young.
Great facilities, very friendly would return again without question if camping in the Peak District.
Not crowded, the fields are small but varied and many that makes this a really nice site.
Showers and toilet blocks were very clean and plentiful. Nothing bad to say.
Enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic site in stunning location. Room on the field for children to run around and play.
Great facilities, spotlessly clean. Perhaps missing a laundry facility but not really missed on a 3 night stay. Site was busy but never any need to wait.
Walks straight from the campsite and a pub serving food about 10 minutes walk away. Management team very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely return.

Pleasant site in a lively area. Nicely laid out.
The upper fields are further away from the facilities but have a view and are away from traffic noise.
Cleanliness of the toilets was poor the first half of our stay.
The fridges and freezers were unreliable, one fridge froze all our vegetables, one freezer didn’t freeze !
In the hedged off areas we stayed in the noise from other tents carried easily

An excellent private pitch for our family and friends. No need to bring tables and chairs as our little spot had its own picnic tables. We also had electric hookup which was a bonus.
The toilets and family showers were clean and nearby along with the use of fridges and freezers and the washing up facilities.
Will definitely return. Definitely value for money.
The only draw back was there was no shop nearby, however, there is a pub and a cafe within walking distance.

Perfect in every way.
Views, secluded pitches,
Great feel about the place,
Spotless full sized showers and facilities,
A real jewel of a site.
Charmingly rustic a proper campsite.
