We asked for a grass pitch as we have an awning but unfortunately we were "Upgraded" to a hardstanding. Clearly the site was really not ready for us to visit. Which was fair enough as they don`t open until March 1.
The facilities were dusty and the site was in need of some TLC, especially the gardens which were overgrown and not kept up to.
The bin in use was full to the brim and the chemical toilets water supply was turned off!
We will not be visiting again for £30 a night!

We have stayed here several times this year.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good size pitches in small meadows.
Clean toilets and showers and lots of washing up facilities.
Short walk into the village where there is a cafe and a pub, shame there isn't a little shop there.
Lovely ice cream parlour just up the road too.

We Stayed on this campsite when it had just started up many years ago and the transformation from then to what they have achieved is amazing
It is a beautiful site with the touring pitches all in there separate space isolated by shrubs and hedges. It is vey clean and the numerous showers and toilets are kept clean.
If your looking for a countryside campsite with beautiful walks to get away from it all then it is well worth Staying here
There is also a lovely pub in the village

Thanks to Gary and the team for a lovely stay.
The facilities were always spotless and despite the site being really busy, there were plenty of loos and toilets to go round.
Lovely spot to explore the Dales. Local pub was very good and the cafe excellent.

A great site, ideally located for walking.
The site is a mix of open meadow camping and individual, secluded pitches. These are lovely and private, with some laid out in pairs, which would be ideal for family groups.
The pitches vary in size and on arrival we were offered a choice of four that were big enough for our van and awning. The trees and hedges reduced the noise from other campers and the nearby road - we had no problems with sound carrying.
The facilities are very good and are kept immaculate. There are plenty of toilets and showers, including some family showers and baby changing area. There are fridges, freezers, microwave and laundry facilities available.
A great deal of thought has been put into the site layout and facilities so that it works well for all everyone and Garry (& Co) do a great job. Thank you!
We will definitely be returning.

Most accommodating owner, showing us possible pitches to suit our requests.
This site gets better as the years go on.
New washing facilities are very clean and the wild grass boundaries to each pitch made it feel much better than any large field campsite.
Good start made to the washing up facilities for the upper field pitches.
Nice that washing scourers are provided but they get manky too quickly so don’t provide them, leave us all to bring our own.

Arrived late due to traffic but was not an issue. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Multiple separated plots available.
Got a large plot to the 3 of us.
Pretty and quiet site.
Clean toilets and showers available.
Noticed areas specifically for DofE so good for schools or cadets etc. Local pub is a short walk away.
Bakewell is an easy 15 minute drive.
Fire pits available to rent on site too.
