Lovely site.
We enjoyed our stay here. We found the site to be peaceful and the owners very friendly and helpful. The site was fully booked during our stay, but there was still plenty of room and the facilities were more then adequate. No long queues for showers, they were always clean, hot and the family units are a great asset.
Friends we stayed with found the local pub to be good, but wasn't serving food at the time.
Pitches are level, very well drained, but watch your tent pegs as there seems to be a layer of stones under the turf.
There is no kids play area but our children had plenty of room to run around and play and were happy enough.
We enjoyed discovering the surrounding areas and would deff come again. Our only dislike was the view of the nearby power station, but it was not enough to ruin our stay.

Lovely site very peaceful the staff were friendly, the information leaflet given on arrival was very detailed, plenty of space between caravans. Toilet block was clean. Down side was the rubbish on the floor around bins which were over flowing.
The rally field was full but no noise disturbance at night.
Great location for river walks although the local pub - The Ferry Boat in we didn't like dirty glasses etc.
Lots to do nearby we enjoyed fishing at one of the local lakes that was detailed in the leaflet.

We arrived at Trentfield and was very disappointed about how close the power station was. Nobody seems to have commented on this site about them and find this strange, especially as we had sirens going off in the night! (we were told by staff and other campers that this had never happened before but still was annoying!)
The campsite itself was clean and held up well with the rain we had. The children loved the walks by the river and making new friends around the campsite.
We thought the family shower blocks were great and used them a lot but were less than happy with the amount of waiting for showers in the normal shower blocks.
Overall our stay at Trentfield was a great success but a few points (power station, showers and bins) let the site down a little.

What a lovely site! Very pleasant greeting and taken to our pitch as it was our first trip out in our caravan so he put us in an easy position, Thanks! Good facilities with family shower rooms which were great for us. There is a vending machine with milk, cheese etc. Which is a great idea, it was a little on the expensive side though. There is a pub called the Ferry Boat Inn within walking distance which unfortunately isn't doing food at the moment but within 5 minutes drive is the White Swan (near Dunham Bridge) which did really lovely home cooked food that we would recommend. All in all, a very nice site that we would definitely recommend!

Nice campsite. With a river-side field location. A Great place for a quiet get-away, especially for dog-walkers (dog-friendly pub just down road! - 'Ferry Boat Inn', loads of river-side walks to get to it, the perfect excuse to take the dog a walk!) Small quiet roads with not much traffic on them around campsite. Overall, Nice relaxing and quiet campsite. Enjoyed my stay here and will return. Ice cream van visited in afternoon which was a bonus! Shower blocks clean and practical with two family shower rooms available.

Visited Trentfield for a long weekend and found it a pleasant easy going site. EHU Pitches were large and very flat but there seemed to be stones about 2 inch down near every peg we put in so we bent quite a lot of pegs until we got the knack how to put them in.
Manager of the site seemed very friendly and recommended some takeaways for the first night of which the 'China Moon' we used, this is near the A1 junction at Markham. It is a restaurant really so was a bit expensive for a takeaway but the food was top notch.
All EHU pitches on the tent rally field were taken up by Friday night and then middle of the field filled up as well but it didn't feel overcrowded.
Showers and toilets were clean but could have looked cosmetically better if there was more tiles than painted breeze block to look at. Having said that though the power showers in the mens toilet was one of the best I have been in.
The Portable cabin family showers are a very good idea if you have small children. We never really had to queue even though it got quite busy on the Saturday.
Ideal base for Sunndown kids place. Just 5 mins away. Newark is a nice market town 30 mins away. It did lack a kiddies play area but there was no issue with them playing football in front of the tent. Would definitely use again if wanting to stay in the area.

As with previous post, this was our first ever camping experience and we couldn't have chosen a nicer site. We had rain on our first day but the ground remained solid, it didn't get muddy or boggy. Fortunately the next two days were glorious and showed the beauty of the surrounding area.
The facilities were cleaned daily. Large washing up area. Laundry room. There are three toilets in the ladies and three in the gents with two lockable showers in each, with plenty of room to keep clothes dry and a seat to sit on. There is a hairdryer in the ladies also. There are also two large family shower units at the side. We never had to queue for the toilets or a shower.
From booking the site to leaving, the staff were friendly and approachable. Quiet time is from 10.45pm and was respected by all. In fact it was deadly quiet by 10. The main field was mainly tourers and the rally field all tents, which is where we were, and there was ample room. It also has EHU. There is also some lighting on the site so going to the loo in the middle of the night did not require a torch! Given brochure of local attractions on arrival and from this found excellent trips in it. Would definitely recommend this site and will be returning.

This was our first ever camping trip and I don't think we could have picked a better site, the ground is flat and we was really pleased with the view straight onto the river.
The welcome we received was 1st class, friendly and very helpful and we got the choice of where we wanted to pitch our tent. The shower / toilet facilities was basic but clean with a hairdryer and plug point for my straighteners (a must!) all free of charge.
The food preparation and washing up room was clean and constantly had hot water. They even charged my phone for me at reception, also free of charge! The only downside is the lack of shop on site, we was lucky enough to have glorious weather and some cold soft drinks would have been nice.
The walks surrounding Trentfield are lovely and the walk along the river towards the Ferry boat inn is pictures, and not to far away to stagger back after a few. Unfortunately the pub wasn't serving food as its up for sale (or should I say under offer), however we were lucky enough to meet the (possible) new landlord / lady who are lovely people who have big ideas for the Ferry boat and we cant wait to return to see them. The locals was also very welcoming and friendly.
All in all we had a wonderful few days and we will be visiting again in the very near future

Booked this site for one night as a stopover on the way home from buying a combi camp t/t. Brilliant place, loads of hook up's, toilets and showers were clean, hot water for washing up.
Has a washing machine you can hire,a fridge / freezer you can use for food or ice packs. Field was well kept and everyone had loads of space. The area looked great for walking. Would stay here again!

What a fantastic site. We stayed bank holiday weekend but because they ask you to pitch round the edges there is still loads of room for you to sit out & for the kids to run round & play.
The facilities were very clean & the staff were very friendly & helpful. This was our 2nd stay & it won't be our last.
You can just pitch tent park the car & go for loads of lovely walks or just chillax on the site. What more can I say. Brilliant.
