Visited this site the second week in September. On arrival, the friendly warden, Doug, showed us to our pitch. Clean, tidy site. We were on a hard standing just by the shower/loo block. Although the block was in constant use, we never queued for shower or loo's.
Wash up sinks on side of block were good. Showers good and warm. We needed something out of hours and the wardens just opened the well stocked site shop just for us. You are even able to reserve a paper each morning.
Altogether, a friendly welcoming site. It is within 2. 5 miles out of Stratford, so really great for exploring!
Many National Trust sites and heritage sites within easy distance. Not to mention the Shakesperian facilities in Stratford.

We chose this site for our little break with our caravan due to it being advertised as small and quiet - that is exactly what it is
As you come into the grounds there is a private static caravan site on your right, you have to continue straight to the end and stop at the little shop which is where the reception area is.
Staff on site were extremely friendly and welcoming on our arrival.
We were shown to our spot and and told where all amenities were and then left to set ourselves up.
Being a small site this is very well looked after and kept very clean
Shower and toilet block was good, was closed at certain time of the day for cleaning, but this didn't cause us any problems as we are early risers so were showered and back at the caravan before cleaners arrived
The shop has plenty of daily supplies that we all tend to run out of, including daily newspapers.
The only downfall that I can think of is that the bins did tend to get full to overflowing, but this is no fault of the site owners, more the fault of the refuse collection times
Considering that we were here in the middle of school holidays there were not really many children and the few that were on site were very well behaved
Stratford Upon Avon is a beautiful place to visit and we still never got to see it all, so will be back next year and will also be very happy to re-visit this site too.
If you are a lover of Indian food there is a fantastic Indian restaurant about a mile down the road that you can sit in or take-away (very good portions)
There is very little for children to do on this site, so you would have to bring children's own entertainment to keep them occupied
We had a very enjoyable time here

Very nice campsite although our pitch was on a bit of a slope and they seemed overly concerned with the size of our tent. It's quite a small site so the shower blocks were within a short walking distance and were clean and tidy. There were electric hookup and a small shop supplying essentials.
You could catch a bus into Stratford upon Avon although we always used the car so I don't know how good the service was.
The only downside to this campsite was the music blasting out from a club somewhere which went on all night until 6.00am in the morning. If you are in a caravan you probably wouldn't notice it but it kept us awake both nights - earplugs definitely needed.
Having said that the site was lovely and we would stay again but with a definite supply of earplugs.

Management response: This is misleading as there no such venue anywhere near us. In this case it was an annual event held 7 miles away at Long Marston called the Bulldog Bash. |

We visited Dodwell Park in a tent with electric hook up for a week's stay at the start of the school holidays, it was fairly busy at the weekends (although not full) and very quiet and peaceful during the week. The site was very pleasant and well maintained.
It is a medium sized campsite split into terraces. On the lower terraces there were several hard-standing pitches, the remaining pitches were grass pitches which were either flat or slightly sloping. Pitches were allocated but were well spaced and grass very well maintained. If the site was full then it could easily feel very claustrophobic, although they spaced people out well during our stay.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the men's toilets have 2 toilets, 3 urinals, 3 showers, 3 sinks, 2 shaving points and 1 hairdryer and 1 hand-dryer. Women's toilets had 4 toilets, 3 showers, 5 sinks, 1 hairdryer and 1 hand-dryer.
Toilets and showers are closed between 11am-12pm each day for cleaning. We never had to queue for the toilet or a shower. Only suggestion of improvement in the toilets would be to add a bin so people can dispose of rubbish. Showers were nice though, plenty of hot water no matter what time of day. There is lots of space in the showers including a separate area for changing with two hooks and a bench.
There were two water-points, one at each end of the site, outdoor bins and a waste point disposal. There is a large Morrisons and Tescos close to the site, about 5 minutes in the car. There was a very well stocked shop on site, although opening hours were limited in the morning and afternoon. Sold all the camping essentials and fresh milk, bread, bacon, ice-creams etc.
Staff at the site were very friendly and helpful and there is an information stand outside the shop with plenty of leaflets for ideas of places to visit in and around the area. No ball games on site however we were told there was a separate field where children could go to play. Dogs are allowed on site on leads although all the dogs we saw were very well behaved and we didn't hear much barking.
Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this site for couples and families looking to explore the Stratford area, close distance to Stratford, Coventry and Warwick.

This was our second stay here and our first in a tourer, the site is lovely and although the rain had made it rather 'squidgy' well quite a lot to be honest, underfoot the site coped well with the best the weather could throw at it.
The shower blocks were clean and more than adequate (wifey under 5'2 struggled in the showers with the height of the seat though!).
Ideal for Stratford and the surrounding area and easy to get to if you avoid the town centre! We parked on the road to avoid the grass and Doug (Warden and good bloke!) closed the relevant roads to keep us safe!
This is a site well worth a visit if your planning a trip to this part of the world. We're already looking again at mid August!

It is a first class site a few miles outside of stratfod on avon.
Gentle slope on site but no problems, there is a small shop on site that is well stocked including some nice ice creams!,
Ehu available, showers are clean, there is a washing up facility on site also.
All in all a very nice site and one that i would highly recommend for peace and quiet.
There are no other shops nearby the nearest pub is about 1 mile away

Good location and very convenient for visiting Stratford-on-Avon and surrounding area. Site has both grass and hard standings, laid out and numbered. Some are sloping but not a problem.
Facilities were adequate and water was hot. Not much space for putting wash bags and towels. We were off season and there were only a few units on the site so no problems, however I would think facilities would be very stretched if site is full.
Wardens on site and very friendly. No rules about pitching before noon or leaving early. Good shop, well stocked and information board with leaflets for surrounding area. Good access to the site.
Lots to see around here - we enjoyed exploring Stratford-on-Avon, Bidford-on-Avon and Warwick - all very accessible from the site. Good centre for touring

Second visit to this site which is just outside Stratford upon Avon.
Mainly sloping pitches with need for blocks, good freeview reception, well stocked little shop on site, toilet facilities good and clean.
Reception very helpful offered local information pack. No play facilities for the kids but a number on site during our stay seemed happy enough without climbing frames etc.
Reasonably priced for location, single story Indian restaurant approx 1 mile from site on way back into Stratford, did, nt try this time, Pub on outskirts of Town.
Tesco & Morrison supermarkets in Stratford for those forgotten essentials.

Just back from a 5 night stay. Would highly recommend this site when not too busy as pitches quite close together.
Site had just cleared out from the bank holiday when we arrived so had plenty of room and peace. Facilities were always clean and showers always hot, hairdryer free too.
This site has the best stocked shop of any camp site I've stayed at in the uk and very reasonably priced too.
Bus into town is conveniently outside the site servicing both Stratford and evesham every half hour, if a little pricey - would suggest the hour long walk into Stratford instead.
Overall would definitely stay again - this site is ideal for a stopover / RSC show and feel it deserves a 4 star rating
