We stayed for two nights in one of the wettest weekend with flooding all round the area. This site is well drained so not risk of flooding!
The toilets are not modern but it is clean. The showers are not powerful but it is hot and steady and free! There's only one hair dryer in the ladies though.
There is a site shop, but we didn't use it.
The location is excellent, but you really need to drive in.

It was our first time camping so a little apprehensive and I was particularly worried having read reviews criticising the toilet and shower block. We were therefore pleasantly surprised to find that the showers and toilets were very clean and in our opinion sufficient for a small campsite. The site is near enough to Stratford for visiting by car although not near enough to walk. The only drawback was that the pitch we were on was not completely flat so we slid a little during the night in our tent.We appreciated ball games being kept to a separate field which makes it safer for everyone.
Overall we were very pleased with this site and we will return.

We stayed for two nights in July and used this site to visit Stratford and the local area. We found it to be ideally located. The access is good although it takes you through the park home site. Mixed site of tents and caravans, some hard standings.Toilets were old but clean and the showers were ok but found if all three were being used the pressure suffered. Owners very nice and warm welcome received. The pitches were a bit tight and felt if we wanted to put up our big awning, there would have been no room for the car. Overall a nice quiet site but might be too quiet for a weeks stay especially if you have children.
Oh! and by the way the pitches are sloping so make sure you are prepared!

We thought this camping and caravan site was clean, well kept and quiet. We were were warmly welcomed and it was nice that they could help us out in a friendly manner with advice on where to eat with children, and local takeaway/delivery information. We were pitched a short walk from the shop which was very convenient. The toilet block had 3 nice new showers and even though this is a busy time of year there were no shower queues.
The situation of the campsite means that you are surrounded on three sides by mobile homes and by fields and a low hedge on the fourth side. The site has just a few small trees on it. I did hear the sound of planes taking off and landing nearby early in the morning -but then I am a light sleeper, no one else in the family heard them. You can also hear traffic from the nearby road but this was not intruding. The pitches are not huge but everyone was spaced nicely, so we did not have people directly next to us. The field to the front of the site is lovely and had loads of hares on it in the evening. The location of the site is great - near to many local attractions.

We have just returned from a really great weekend stay at this park,it is in an ideal position for visiting stratford upon avon and set in a peaceful location.
The owners were very helpful and polite and the park had a good atmosphere. The shop on site is brilliant and has lots of items for sale at really good prices especially the ice lollies which I thought were a lot cheaper than what you would usually pay and the shop staff were very friendly.
The toilets and shower blocks were cleaned each day and we found them to be very clean with large shower cubicles that have a seperate area for your clothes, they are not power showers but are especially great for showering the kids as the spray does not go everywhere and is not to strong, for me this is reason enough to stay there as we had no tears from the kids during shower time!
The park also charged a very reasonable nightly fee, we would definatley stay there again especially because of the location and the really great priced shop and friendly staff.

What a pleasant site to be on, within a park home site which is well maintained throughout. The camp site wardens, Ted & Bryony, were fantastic, welcomed you to the site, showed & helped you get on the pitch, always spoke when they walked past and always pleasant, nothing got past them, even the guests were checked out upon arrival. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The shop was stocked with things you may forget & reasonably priced for a camp shop, the couple who run the shop are very friendly and always helpful, we wanted eggs & they had none in but went out and got some within 5 minutes & delivered them to the van door! now that is service - not many do this!
The toilet block was very clean and some say outdated, but as site toilets go they are OK, I have experienced much worse, the showers were hot, clean and spacious with somewhere to hang your clothes without them getting a shower too.
The site is flat at the bottom but on a slope towards the top but the wardens are mindful of vans being put on the flat and the tents on the slope, well drained and short grass, predominately grass pitches but some hardstanding for motorhomes and a few hardstanding/grass pitches too.
Water points were adequate, although the elsan point was on a raised platform and was raised its self so be mindful not to fill your waste too full because you may struggle to lift it to empty!
If you don't want to drive there is a local bus service across the road to get into town and the site manager even goes over and cleans it to ensure the residents of the site and visitors alike don't have to stand and wait in a dirty shelter.
The field for playing ball games is well kept and just a vast area for the children to play in although the younger children need an adult with them as it is a very short walk away from the main site. No children's equipment but none of them seemed to mind and all kept themselves amused
We will definitely visit again very soon. Many thanks to the wardens and the managers alike for a pleasant weekend on a well run site.

Spent 4 days in August bank holiday. The wardens were very helpful and gave us a lovely welcome, they where able to give us the pitch we wanted as we were meeting friends there. Lovely site, only let down was the toilet and showers still in the 1960's and need a make over but were very clean. Will call again next year good position for Strafford upon Avon.

I stayed at Dodwell Park for a couple of nights camping with the new tent and to see a bit of Stratford. The campsite is about 3 miles outside Stratford but a regular bus does run from directly opposite the park so the location is pretty good.
The entrance to the site is quite smart with a number of pre fabricated retirement homes, the gardens are really pretty so it’s really welcoming.
The site itself is very small with a small shop and reception area. The shop building looks like something from the fifties and the choice is limited and expensive, £7.99 for a poor red wine. The site attendant was very friendly and had us onsite in no time.
The shower and toilet facilities are also very dated and not welcoming but are cleaned regularly.
The site was very quiet when we stayed, although another family told us the two nights prior were a nightmare as lots of people from the grasstrack racing across the road were partying all night. It maybe worth checking when these events are on before booking in.
Overall this is a nice site but could do with some upgrades to the facilities. At £12 per night for a tent it’s not to badly priced.

We`ve just returned from a weekend at Dodwell and on the whole it was very pleasant. The wardens were extremely friendly and welcoming, despite the fact that we turned up at 9am! They took the time to show us to our pitch and helping get in position. They also strolled round the park a couple of times a day chatting to everyone and making sure all was well.
The park itself was small but well maintained, with a well stocked shop, 2 water points and toilets, dishwashing facilities and toilet disposal point. My biggest criticism would be that the toilet and shower blocks need a lot of TLC. They are out-dated and showing signs of years of wear and tear. I only used them once as we have facilities in our tent, and unfortunately they were dirty, but the cleaner arrived as I was in there and when I came out of the shower she was waiting to clean my cubicle. To be fair, we had had heavy rain all night and this was about 8.30am, so the tail end of the morning rush, and peoples muddy foot prints cannot be helped. Also, there were only 3 showers in the ladies and two in the men's. I can see how queuing would be a problem during busier times.
The park is quite a distance from Stratford, but we drove in both days we were there and had no problems parking etc. All in all, we had a great time and would go back.

Spent 2 nights (sat and sun) here. Very well located site for visiting Stratford as on one of the main roads into town and a regular bus service. Not much around the immediate area of the campsite itself. Would debate that it is walking distance to Stratford but more because it is along an extremely busy A-Road rather than distance. Would probably take about 45 mins to walk there. Bus pricey (£3.80 adult return) and a return cab from town in the eve about £6 Quite a large site in total with a lot of permanent units and chalets as well as the area for campers. More motor-homes than tents but a nice area assigned for tents, most of which appeared to have EHU. Very friendly staff who were welcoming and made sure we were settled in ok. Reasonable space between pitches and on a slight slope but not a problem. Site does have an 11pm noise rule and although this was not overly adhered to or enforced the noise did not go on too late. Amenities ok. Toilet / Shower block definitely in need of updating or a bit of TLC at least. 3 small shower cubicles in each block and only two sit-down toilets in gents which might cause a few queues at busier times. didn't have to pay for showers though so that was a bonus. Small washing up area which again, might involve queuing at busy times. We had dreadfully wet conditions and the site held up ok, bit boggy underfoot but no serious problems. Nice little shop. All in all, a nice site and good value for money but could just do with a little bit of love and attention in places.
