Great site, the warden was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights, it was busy over a bank holiday, never the less not noisy. Handy on site shop which was well stocked. Loo block was clean, not the most modern but showers and everything cleaned and well maintained. Stratford Upon Avon is a couple of miles away. There is a take away restaurant nearby, which is within walking distance.

Hi all, Just come home from a 4 night break to Stratford upon Avon, Staying at Dodwell park campsite. We arrived Monday at 1 o'clock to two smiling faces in reception those being the owners asked us if we had a good trip etc, then they showed us to our pitch which was a good size slightly sloping but nothing to worry about. They told us where everything is toilets etc, fire bucket, local bus route. We found toilets showers very good even when site busy no probs having to wait. No problem with noise at night or children playing near tents, all in all a great little site with top wardens who always stopped and had a chat and couldn't be more helpful. Now places to visit we went into Stratford by bus no28 bus stop right outside site a great town spent all day there, Warwick
Castle very good but very expensive £30 per adult plus £6 pound parking on top bit cheeky me thinks?. A must is the falconry centre in Morton in marsh GL569AB not that we r bird lovers but a cracking day out with children or not thought we were only going to stay an hour or so but ended up staying 4 plus great displays etc. Any way enough of me babbling on a great tent site and a great location

Sorry to say I did not find this site as good as people make out.
Location 2. 7 miles to Stratford upon Avon is a bonus the rest not so.
The site was packed like sardines, far to many tents for the size of site.
Tent pitches are on a slope some more so than others, this gave rise to having to put packing under tables etc to level.
Ground very hard.
Only two external sinks for pot washing, toilet facility's basic.
Also a first for use is having to pay Bank Holiday rates for a Friday and the weekend.

Dodwell park is a brilliant camping site, great facilities very clean, also no charge to use showers hairdryers etc, and its a great location to visit Stratford. The warden and his wife couldn't be more friendly and helpful, grounds and hook up well kept and clean. There is also an on site shop that was surprisingly well stocked and reasonably priced. The camping price is also good value too, but I think ALL campsites should charge per person and for the pitch rather than for the tent ie small / medium with or without pup tent etc as it saves complication. Overall we loved this camp site and will visit again.

It was our first camping experience as a family in this tent. The warden was very helpful and went out of his way to help us erect our tent. Facilities were basic but clean. The toilet, showers and hair dryer ware free, the site was clean, the grass was cut and there is a shop. There is a bus stop just outside the camp site for those without a car. The warden was also very helpful giving parking advice and was a very good source of information about local amenities.
I would recommend this camp site to family and friends.

Great little site just a couple of miles from Stratford. The shower blocks were fairly clean and warm but didn't seem to be cleaned on the Sunday which is fair enough, we all need a day off. There is a shop on site but seems a bit dear. There didn't seem to be any restaurants or pubs nearby for those who would like the option. There are no ball games allowed but there's a huge field at the front of the site where kids and dogs can play, it's full of bunnies too which is quite cute. The wardens were lovely, always helpful and stopped for a chat whenever they were passing.

Thought this site was very great. Wardens were friendly and helpful, nice hot showers, site was well kept and had a useful shop.
No facilities for kids but that is something we look for as we want to enjoy a little peace and quiet, which is exactly what we got. We had plenty of space around us.
We've added this site to a list where we would definitely return when we are in the area which we will be doing soon.

A nice quiet site, lovely friendly wardens, very helpful. Showers/toilets lovely and warm and clean. Dish washing facilities are outside. A combination of hard standing and grass pitches. A couple of miles from the centre of Stratford but there is a bus from outside the site. There is a well stocked small shop on site. No facilities for children and they are not allowed to play ball but there is a field next door that they can use.

We were pleased to have found and stayed in this campsite for a weekend. It is fairly close to Stratford, approx 3 miles. Bus stop right on the doorstep. Because it is in the main road, it can get noisy at night.
Facilities are good. Despite being almost full, we did not have to queue for the toilet or shower. I had to wait less than few minutes to wash the dishes. The shower room is sectioned in two with shower curtain as a partition, and makes enough space to put your dry stuff. 4 ladies toilets always clean and well-stocked with toilet rolls.
There is a shop on site, but is closed in the afternoon for few hours then reopened for few hours afterwards. Did not have a good look around but seemed to stock for basic needs. Morrisons is in town.
There is no play area on site but as you enter the park, there is a massive field where children can play and dogs can be walked and do their business. The wardens were very friendly and welcoming.
We would return for a 2/3 night stay.

Great site, very clean facilities, great wardens very friendly nothing is too much trouble, make you feel at home. Great shop on site stocking all the essentials and also sells newspapers. Short drive into Stratford Upon avon were there is great shops and restaurants plus a lovely 'green' by the theatre which has street entertainers and you can watch the boats come and go on the river. £35 for two nights with electric which is great value - will definitely be visiting again. Very friendly site!
