Feb 2004 We visited this site in a rather wet and cold February week. The ground was rather wet, but the owner was helpful in suggesting where to go to avoid the worst of the mud, and to avoid ripping up their grass!
The site has a reasonably well stocked shop ,with most basic foodstuff and other bits and pieces you are likely to need, including wine and beer!
The toilet block was cold and unheated, but clean throughout our stay, despite the wet and muddy conditions. The shower cubicles left rather a lot to be desired though, they are far too small to get changed in comfort, and to keep your clothing dry. They were free though. I also felt the facilities might struggle to cope if they were full, there were three mens showers, and I assume the same for the ladies, for 50 pitches.
The site is at the end of a large hill about 1 mile away from the nearest shops, and pub, and about 2 miles from the centre of Stratford. The hill prevented us from cycling or even walking into town, as it is very steep (plus it was too cold). There was some noise from the A459 which the site is on, but it wasn't excessive and certainly didn't disturb us.
The pitch cost us £14.50 per night, for three adults, a caravan with hookup and awning. It may have been more expensive than normal as it was a half term week , although they were not that busy being February.

August 2003 We chose this site as being reasonably local for trying out our new tent and camping for the very first time.
The site is very clean and the people quite helpful. The site shop does seem to open with pretty odd hours but is reasonably well stocked.
Showers etc. are pretty dated but are kept clean. Maybe because it was our first time, the pitches were not very clearly laid out (hopefully we'll learn with practise).

July 2002 What a truly superb site!! I found the owners/management really freindly always willing to help, as they had to when our 2 manner was flattened by wind!! Excellent views and surroundings nice and quiet, although not too far away from the town of Stratford. I would really advise this site to anyone, a superb site to sit down relax and smoke your pipe! Me and my girlfriend will be visiting again, afterall we now have a constant reminder of the site with our first child being conceived their - we have named him Bradley Dodwell Swainbank too ensure this site remains a pernament fixture in our lives.

May 2003 The site was clean and well maintained, grass was cut short, no litter. I personally saw the toilet and showers STERILISED DAILY. The couple who run the site are unbelieveably helpful, they even opened the shop outside of opening hours for us when they saw us comming! About 3 mins drive into stratford. One of the best sites I've stayed at..

July 2002 Well laid out site, well organised. Facilites good and v.clean. Close to main road, but the traffic noise only bothered us when trying to fall asleep! Shop on site and supermarket within 3 miles. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this site last year when we went to the Motorhome show.we stayed over the week-end and really enjoyed the peace and quite although it is near a main road, the shower block is quite basic but always clean and tidy,we are going back again this year,we are off to the show again this week-end. We find that the wardens are always pleased to help and are always pleasent to talk to and always have a smile for you when they see you.

I was really impressed with this campsite although I only stayed here for one night. I rang up a couple of days before and asked if they would save a space for a small tent and motorbike. My boyfriend and I were going to The Bulldog Bash Bikers rally at Stratford and were due to meet our friends the day after.
When we arrived the Warden was really friendly (people aren't always that friendly with bikers) and the site was lovely with lots of trees. There was also a shop that was open limited hours that was very well stocked. The toilet facilities were basic but spotlessly clean and for £7.00 per night I would definitely stay here again. The site was very peaceful but at the same time close to the main road and so, therefore, well placed for Stratford-upon-Avon being only about 5 minutes drive away
