Great site. Wardens super helpful. Nothing to much trouble. Our TV Ariel was broken and the warden lent us one he had spare. The shop was well stocked. The toilets and showers super clean and constant hot water. We used the local buses as it is sometimes difficult to park a 7. 8 metre van in a car park.
Will be going again as we haven't seen it all yet

A very nice site, very nice people running site, good showers That's all you need bar the weather ! Good location for the races (1 mile) and good location for stratford town itself. We did have a bit of noise due to the grass tracking across the road but that was a massive event which I belive only takes place so many days a year.
Will visit again nice site

Stayed for 7 nights during the whit holiday.
Great site, great location to Stratford upon Avon.
Site shop good for top up supplies and toilet/shower block clean and tidy.
Lovely meal in The Bell Inn one night, would recommend, food was amazing.
Day trips to Mary Arden's Farm, Warwick Castle and Cadbury World whilst at Dodwell Park.
Got the bus into Stratford Upon Avon one day, less £4 return. Bus stop opposite park entrance.

We love staying with Dave and his wife. They're a friendly helpful couple. The site isn't huge and is gently sloping in parts, which is fine if you're caravaning but less so if you're camping. The washrooms are good with free running water(not push button)They tend to get grubby at times when it's wet but a mop and bucket are provided to sort it out. There is a good sized dog walk/come area for ball games. There is a chip van that visits at certain times too. The site is about 2 miles out of Stratford but there is a bus stop to and from the campsite which runs on a half hourly basis. It drops you right in the town centre so no messing around finding parking spaces. It's our second visit and we would return without hesitation

We stayed at Dodwell Park for 3 nights. We arrived later than expected but ware greeted on site by the wardens and shown to our pitch.
The site is sloped in two directions and has 4 rows of pitches for both tourers and tents. Electricity is available at all pitches, a couple of water points are present on the lower side of the site and there is a small (clean!) toilet block with outside dish-washing facilities. The shop seems well stocked but opening times are limited. The site is surrounded by park homes and fires and ball games are not permitted. Soft external lighting is present in the evenings via a few lamp columns.
We pitched on the higher sloped area as the bad weather the week before had meant that the ground was still quite boggy on the flatter pitches.
It is a great base from where to explore the surrounding area with Warwick castle being 25 mins away the lovely Stratford town centre a short drive down the road. The racecourse is also nearby but we didn't go there.
There were children on site and all were happily mixing and playing with one another during the late afternoons into evenings. The empty pitches made for an improvised play area.
Whilst we were there the site was approx. 1/5 full so we did not have to queue for the facilities however, I am not sure how the facilities would cope with a full site as the number of toilets, showers & sinks did not seem to be enough to cater for the 50+ pitches.
We had a nice break and had a good time on site.

We visited this site in the week after Easter and found it small but perfunctory. We felt that whilst the site had everything we needed and liked, it lacked character. Let me explain. The site was easily accessible from the A46 via Bidford on Avon. It was mainly given over to grass pitches but also had a few hard standing as well. The grounds were tidy and it was obvious that Dave worked hard to look after the site. He was obviously proud of the site and enjoyed chatting to his guests and making them feel welcome. He was exceptionally helpful. His wife was less welcoming and at one point was downright rude, both to ourselves and then we overheard her complaining about some fellow campers who had dared to ask for another pitch to the one that had been given to them. So, what about the facilities? The toilet blocks were small but clean and most pitches were serviced by electrical hookup. The approach was through a park home with small pretty and well tended gardens. The site was quiet and many pitches had a slight slope, levelling blocks may be required on some of the pitches. Stratford was an easy 10 minute drive with all its charms and we thoroughly recommend the local Indian restaurant called Chutneys. This restaurant was nothing to look at from the main road but believe me, you will not be disappointed with the food and excellent levels of customer service. Will we visit Dodwell Park again? Probably not, but will certainly be visiting Stratford on Avon again and more than likely a meal at Chutneys.

This was our first night stopover in a motorhome we hired for 5 nights.
We pre-booked the site to make sure we were sorted for night one. We were two adults and two children (9yrs and 6yrs).
We arrived quite late but were warmly greeted and our pitch was identified to us - being winter we were pitched on the track in the middle of the site by an electric hookup - access to this required an uphill reverse of some distance. The reverse in itself was fine but became challenging because the automatic box on the motorhome complained of overheating as we took it slowly - this was rectified by switching off and allowing it to cool. This could have been avoided without the need for a long reverse.
The washroom facilities were clean, warm and well serviced. The shower cubicles included a changing area and curtain but are definitely described as compact! No swinging your arms wide in these ones!
The location was perfect for visiting Stratford Upon Avon the following morning where a visit to the MAD Museum (Museum of Mechanical Art and Design) was well worth a visit - fascinating for myself and my 9 yr old. Also we worthwhile was a walk along the river.
We only stayed one night as we were on a touring holiday. This site wasn't the cheapest, it seems if you are not paying for views (no real views with this one) then you pay for the cleanliness of toilet blocks or location to tourist towns. This one was very close to Stratford Upon Avon.

Have just come back from 2 weeks at dodwell park. Dave and his wife are so helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The toilets and showers were always clean and plenty of hot water. There is a shop on the site and you can also order your newspapers from there as well as stocking up on any essentials. Its our first visit but sure it wont be our last

This site is ideally situated for exploring Stratford Upon Avon and going to nearby attractions such as Warwick Castle. We went for a long weekend in the tent with our two kids and had an excellent weekend. All the staff were very friendly and happy to help us out.
The site is large, but mainly composed of static units. The tents, caravans and motorhomes are mixed together in one field. It did feel a bit squashed, with very small gaps between the units. We had a large pitch because we paid extra for a gazebo, but the packing density made it feel a little claustrophobic. Because everything is so squished up playing games is not allowed on site. However, there is a huge field nearby for kids, joggers and dog walkers, which the kids loved to play in.
The facilities were very good, clean and there were enough toilets, showers and washing up sinks that there were never any queues. The shop was excellent and there is a freezer for ice packs.
The site was fairly quiet except for Saturday night when a group at one end had their radio turned up. The site rules are that there should be no unnecessary noise after 11pm, which we felt was too late. Once they had turned their music off there was further noise from a band at a nearby venue, as well as some road noise.
The location of the site is near the top of a hill. This means the site is on a slope, varying from almost flat at one side, to quite tilty on the other. It also means that it is exposed to the wind, which picked up while were were there and made packing up the tent quite interesting.

Just got back from a fabulous week at Dodwell. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. Our pitch had hard standing and power hook-up. Plenty of room for awning car and what not. Although we didn't bother putting our awning up this time as we had such nice weather. It is a very friendly site with everyone saying good morning and helping each other out when needed. The Warden Dave is a riot. He has had us in fits of laughter. There is a handy shop on site and the prices are not to inflated. The toilets and showers are clean and there is always plenty of hot water. Like most cheap and cheerful sites the toilet/shower block could do with expanding and up dating. There is also a 3 acre playing field/dog walking field that is well kept.
Oh and just a couple of miles down the road towards Evashame is a great restaurant that looks really expensive but is quite cheap. Full English breakfast was only £4 and the faggots and mash are fab. Its called THE FOUR ALL.
Stratford-on-Avon is just 5 mins away and a very beautiful place and if you have time a the forty min cruise along the river is a must.
