Facilities clean, modern, with hot water available at all times, convenient to the tenting area. The supermarket in walking distance and the nearby bus services into Cheltenham and Gloucester were useful.

The owner was very helpful and the surrounding area had plenty to offer. Very reasonably priced and thoroughly recommended.

What a gem and great for visiting Gloucester and Cheltenham. The best shower block we have ever encountered and a lovely lady in reception who, together with her adorable Labrador, couldn't have been more helpful. We were there in April and it was probably two thirds full so would advise booking ahead for summer months. Very reasonable prices, busses right outside the gate and surprisingly little noise bearing in mind location on a main road.

Small and well kept site with hardstanding pitches. Very friendly and nicely laid out. Site allows dogs. Showers and toilets central with pitches around outside. Bus stop outside site to Cheltenham and Gloucester.

We spent 4 nights here. We were given a very warm welcome and information about local amenities and the bus stops outside the site, one way to Cheltenham and the other to Gloucester. We paid £10 for the barrier fob (refundable). And then given a sheet of paper with some information and a map of the site and shown where our pitch was. The electric is rated at 10 amps. The pitch we were on was tarmac and a gravel area for awning. The amenity block is warm and spotlessly clean. There are 5 showers in the ladies of the push button type but reasonable flow between pushes and there are individual wash cubicles. There is a laundry room and washing up sinks. We visited Bourton on the water which is very pretty and not too far away. As has been said there are quite a few aircraft flying into nearby Staverton, but only during the day so not a problem. There is a large Asda store a 5/10 minute walk away, there is a Harvester restaurant and KFC slightly nearer, there is also Home Bargains, B&Q and Pets at home near the park and ride in the same area. Being adult only is a bonus and we will definitely visit again. It would be an ideal stopover to break a drive down to Devon or Cornwall. Much recommended.

An immaculate and well-run site which is in a great position for easy access to Cheltenham and/or Gloucester with bus stops right outside. On arrival we had an extremely friendly and informative welcome, giving us plenty of tips on what was available and how to get around. The wash block facilities were excellent, the newly planted tubs and flowerbeds beautifully done. Although we only stayed one night, it was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely return.

To Find Site:- Leave M5 at junction 11 and take A40 towards Cheltenham. At first roundabout take first left and the campsite is second on the left in a couple of hundred metres.

Briarfields is and open all year, adults only, campsite situated on the western edge of Cheltenham. There are 76 pitches on either gravel or concrete hardstandings, or a mix of both, plus some tent pitches on grass. These are complemented by some nice landscaping. Mostly pitches have a concrete runway for either caravan or motorhome with a gravel section alongside for an awning if required. Cars are parked across the front of the pitch, partly on gravel and partly on the site road. We were there out of the main season so difficult to judge whether this arrangement has any effect of access to pitches when the site is busy? Electric points are convenient to all pitches and are rated at 10 amps and use CEE17 blue connectors. There is one central toilet block of an excellent standard which includes a laundry and dishwashing sinks. There are several water taps around the site but some of these are a bit hidden behind pitches. The site could do with a few more taps and grey water emptying points. There are a couple of chemical toilet emptying points. The motorhome service point has a good drive over drain point and alongside is drinking water to replenish tanks, there is also a chemical emptying point nearby. There is site wide free WiFi. Site fees are quite modest, ranging from £17 to £21 a night (2016). Whilst it is advertised as a touring campsite there does seem to be some seasonals on site and some obviously being using by tradesmen. Given the vicinity of several major roads in the area of the campsite there is some road noise. The site is also on the flight path to the local airport so there is some daytime noise from light aircraft. Please note that this campsite is no longer in the ACSI discount scheme.

This is a good site if you prefer not to use your own transport. There is a frequent bus service to both Cheltenham and Gloucester from virtually outside the campsite. Also nearby is a Harvester Pub and for shopping there is an ASDA store a little further on. This is a good alternative to the Cheltenham Racecourse campsite.

Nice site, very nice owners friendly and helpful. As others have stated it's a great site, we are members of caravan club and camping and caravan club but chose this site due to reviews and location, plus value for money. Visit, I don't think you will be disappointed.

We'd heard good things about this campsite, and having been disappointed with our week away elsewhere, we decided to come here for a few days on the way home, having left the last site early. We were not disappointed. Everyone was so friendly, the pitches were all hardstanding and spacious, the facilities were spotless, heated and even had music playing which is a fantastic idea! We were close enough to our favourite walk at Cleeve Hill and popped to the new farmshop on the M5 services which was worth the drive! A bit pricey but then it was a farm shop at motorway services! The site was very reasonably priced and quite busy with lots of people taking full advantage of the buses that stop outside. The owners were more than accommodating to our specific pitch request which was great as it was a last minute booking. There is a bit of road noise but that is to be expected if you want the location. Cannot fault this site at all. We will be back!

Very busy commercial site, a lot of hardstandings quite close together. Busy, noisy main road right by the site. Handy for Cheltenham with a bus stop nearby but a bit expensive for what it is. Very good shower block.

Brilliant site run by Scott and Jo who are so friendly and welcoming. So handy for both Gloucester and Cheltenham with bus stops right outside the gates and buses running every 10 minutes. Showers and toilets spotless and heated with music playing. Site very well maintained and neat. Yes there is some road noise but it's not intrusive especially if you are out all day. Pubs and big Asda store 10 mins walk. Will definitely visit again and plan to come back for the Gloucester Victorian Christmas market next November.
