 An excellent cosy site.

Very impressed on our first visit this weekend, well placed between cheltenham and gloucester, with very good bus links to both

A very friendly place that's just about the size we prefer, as its not big and impersonal, great for the two of us on our own, not sure it would have been as good a few years ago with children in tow as there wasn't much for kids to do

Toilet and shower block were excellent, very clean, warm and with music which made a nice change, lots of hot water even late at night for washing up

Situated close to a quite busy industrial area but once you are on site youd never know as all the hedges and grounds ( which are very well kept I might add) are very high

There is a degree of road noise and no on site shop but the trade off, of having so much nearby is worth it

Within a 5-10 minute walk there are pubs/restaurants/takeaways and a large asda store

Pitches are good with space for a camper or caravan with awning and parking for a separate car included all in hardstanding and gravel, the only downside I found was the grassed areas around each pitch were very very boggy not muddy as such but the ground was very waterlogged which made hooking up a messy business!

Overall I think this is a brilliant little site that offers friendly service and great facilities at a price that should shame many more expensive sites

Really lovely pleasant site, few negatives that whilst didn't bother us I know may bother others so thought I would list them:

Quite a lot of road noise through the day along with airport noise from Staverton however as we were out for most of the days we were there like said not bother us.

Not very well lit at night so take a torch

Only 10amp electric so be careful how much stuff you use at once etc

No shop on site

Positives:

Great friendly site really helpful

Lovely spotlessly clean facilities and plenty of water/disposal points around the site

Nice size pitches with room for van, awning and car all on one pitch

Local bus stops right outside the camp with buses every 10 minutes into Gloucester and Cheltenham

Harvester 5 minute walk up the road and an Indian about 10 minutes in other direction

Also quite close to Junc. 11 of M5 so if travelling North or South and looking for a nights lay over very handy

Would certainly use it again and definitely recommend it

We had just been to two Club sites prior to visiting Briarsfield. There was no comparison! The site is immaculate with hard standing pitches, modern shower block and plenty of hot water (Clubs take note!). The owner made us welcome and gave us plenty of local information, including how to safely get to the Asda which is a 5 minute walk away. The site is near a busy road but we didn't find the noise intrusive and what noise there is, is worth it just to have the bus route outside of the camp. This site is definitely the site we will use again when in this area.

We decided to stay overnight on our way back from Truro to Leeds and were so glad we did! The traffic up from the south west was terrible and we were shattered when we got here. The owner who greeted us was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. I'd asked to be near the facilities as my husband is disabled and we were right next door. The facilities were amazing, the shower room was love something out of a hotel and fully heated. The wash indoor was fully equipped, bright and clean and again fully heated which to me in the UK is something some sites don't seem to provide. It is a noisy site being next to a very busy road but its location is great as there's a very large Asda next door with a petrol station. We didn't have time to sightsee but will definitely be back when we are anywhere in the region. The other bonus fro us is that we are ACSI members so got a discount!

Lovely site. Owners very helpful. Good, clean facilities and an excellent bus service to Cheltenham or Gloucester. A Harvester nearby. The only thing that lets this site down is, as others have mentioned, its proximity to a very busy road although that's only during the day. We enjoyed our visit.

Excellent site. Planned overnight stay in transit from NW to Cornwall, . Easy access from/to M5, great welcome and good spacious pitch #7. Best toilet and shower block I have ever seen, so clean and good change/ shower areas. Made a late booking for return, and due to delays on M5 had late arrival - no problem, Same welcome and directed to pitch #17. To good just for overnight use, I will book again for longer. Highly recommended.

What a brilliant find. Great site handy for the towns of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Also for the many lovely towns in the Cotswolds. The shower block is amazing, heated and very very clean with individual washbasins! Made very welcome on arrival Free internet too, all for £18 per night. Excellent site will return.

A very pleasant site but, on the day we arrived, I had an accident on the pitch and was carried off by ambulance discovering at the hospital that I had broken four ribs and my right leg swollen twice the size. One of our sons came by train the following day to take the caravan and us home, arriving at 1230, and, by the time we had packed up, we left at about 1600. For that we were charged for that full day. Stayed there before but never again.

We only stayed one night, we had gone to Cheltenham to get some work done on our Winnebago, phone for one night stay and we were booked in in no time Bob showed us to our spot Pitch 71 easy to, get in and out off and we had to leave earlyish for more work to be done, used shower block as it is the nicest one I have see in all our travel, and wifi was super too. Nice neighbours, wish we could stay longer but we had to leave. This site is going to the top, of our UK list. We have worked on several sites all over Europe for the past 5 years and really appreciate the hard work by all the staff to make your site look and good as it does. Well done

Good site. Owner friendly and helpful. Spacious pitches. Toilets & showers very clean and modern.

There is a Harvester and KFC 10 minutes walk away. Bus stop just outside, Cheltenham and Gloucester easily reached if you don't have a car. Useful site if travelling as not far from M5, though you would think you were in the country!
