Very friendly, efficient and professional. Lots of information about local facilities eg pubs, dog walks, transport.
Extremely clean toilets and showers, also warm - great in February. Surrounding areas very well kept.
Close to M5 so great if 'passing through' but even better to stay around.
Yes, it's near the flightpath of the airport, but it's light aircraft only and doesn't seem to operate at night - so didn't find this a problem.
Yes, it's near to busy road, but great for bus service both between Cheltenham and Gloucester and also walking distance to the Park and Ride for Cheltenham.
FREE WIFI - that's a winner with me.
Flat pitches although hard-standing a little small - some all gravel pitches available.
Some dog walking nearby, ok for a quick walk, and local shop not too far away.
Local pub (Pheasant) serving real ale and pretty good food, although road busy it is well lit and not too far to walk (about 5 mins).
Overall a very good site and we will be returning.

This is an ideal site for a one night stop just off the M5 or a weekend for visiting Cheltenham. On arrival found the reception to be friendly and informative pointing out to me the nearby Harvester pub and bus stop down the road. Site is quite picturesque even for Feb. And pitches spacious. Found the toilet/shower block to be warm and clean though the hot tap required constant pressing to fill the wash basin up. As others have commented there is road noise and although it may bother some people I gradually got used to it and died down overnight anyway. Took the opportunity to visit Cheltenham using the 20 min. Bus service near the campsite entrance and buses run quite late at night. Buses also run to Gloucester. Paid £15/night with ehu on hardstanding.

Stayed during half term site full but very quiet, no problem with freeview tv.
All pitches flat mainly hardstanding, toilet facilities very clean and as mentioned by previous visitors access is by code. Harvester and KFC within 5 minute walk, good sized caravan sales/spares dealer only 1.5 miles away.
Close to Cheltenham and only 6 miles from Gloucester docks. Had no problems with so called rules and regulations with site managers very helpful. Very little for the younger generation to do. Ideal for a quiet weekend break

This site was very well kept, but the traffic noise was horrendous. Walked to the Pheasant inn, where we were assured a warm welcome awaited us-they were shut!
Enjoyed watching the planes landing and taking off at the nearby airport, lovely flowers outside reception and lots of local information provided by the site wardens.
Dog walk involved crossing two busy roads then walking alongside another one, was disappointed with this site although the owners tried really hard to look after us.

The site is easy to access, not far off the M5. Upon arrival you are given a list of local shops, pubs etc, which is useful. You are also given a long number to access the toilet/shower block. Too long to easily remember.
There are not enough showers and they have to be operated by constantly pushing a button otherwise they stop! The toilets/showers were however, warm and clean.
The site is well laid out but we felt we were on the hard shoulder of a motorway due to traffic noise from two main roads. Hard and gravel standings ok. Would possibly use again because of location.

Nice well kept site, helpful owners.
Nice places to visit, Gloster is very nice & also the nearby country park has some very nice walks. The site was very full due to being bank holiday.
However very disappointed with the lack off hot water for washing up and in the showers (the site being full is no excuse). The toilet block was clean but dated and the push taps on showers and sinks were rubish only stopped on for few seconds.
The site is a bit noisy from road and close by airport.Pitches are nice and big. If taps and showers were put right would be a lot better site, but at least showers were free.

Lovely little site, very well kept. Pretty and quiet, Nice modern and exceptionally clean toilet and shower block and very friendly owners. Bargain at £12 for the night.
Although more for the older person with no children as there's no playground, ideal for passing through or visiting in the area as we were.
Thought this campsite was worth a mention!
Close to Gloucester meant to be lovely although we didn't go so cant comment!
But if looking for a site in the area would highly recommend this one!

Both myself, my other half and a friend couldn't help but be impressed with this site and won't hesitate about staying here in the future.
We booked a caravan and a tent pitch for a couple of nights as we were off to Fairford Airshow (only a 40min drive away). The owners gave a really warm welcome with a sensible approach to the rules and regs. This evidently pays off as the whole of the site was immaculately clean and tidy, with the owners even wandering around the site in the day litter and weed picking.
The prices were pretty reasonable (£16 per night for the caravan, £12 for the tent) for mid season camping.
They gave us some print outs of really useful information about local attractions, places to eat and see and took the time to show us round the site.
The shower and toilet facilities were the cleanest I've ever seen on a campsite, putting a lot of the C&C club sites to shame.
The only thing lacking for families were children related facilities, such as a playground or family wash room, but then the benefit was that the site was pretty quiet and relaxed.
The site is located literally a minute from the M5 via a dual carriage way and a decent sub road and is really well signposted, so no dodgy country lane driving to then miss the site and try to have to turn round! The downside is that you can hear traffic, but it wasn't really that loud as the bypass adjacent was really on busy at normal peak times.
The site is pretty close to Gloucestershire Airport, which I personally liked as I could watch the light aircraft come in and out (it's a training airfield with a small business jet maintenance facility). Some might find the buzz a little annoying, but it really wasn't too bad.
Lots of facilities close by, a harvester and KFC only a couple of minutes walk. Cheltenham wasn't far off either, although we didn't venture that far.
Overall, really impressed with this site, the attitude of the owners, its location, price and cleanliness will ensure we will use it again the next time we are over in that area.

Lovely site nice and clean, took two grandchildren with us, didn't think much of the shower block, I had to keep pressing the button every two seconds and the water only just about managed to come through, although the girls used the other shower and they said it was fine.
The number to get into the showers and toilets was quite long and I only just remembered it by the time we were leaving. The site was very close to Cheltenham centre and we went to the local lido because the weather was so great. Would probably go back there.
No park for the kids.

Stayed for one night on a trip from Lancashire to Dorset. Site is very easy to find, as it's just off M5, and access is easy. The park itself is spacious and well laid out.
That's the good points. The bad are that it's very noisy - it lies between two major roads - and the facilities are showing their age. The toilets are OK, but the showers are prehistoric, small and nasty. Getting in to the block required a seven figure code, which only James Bond could be expected to remember.
Ate at the pub down the road (The Pheasant Inn). Food was good (although most of the menu seemed to have 'sold out' by the time we ordered), but service was terrible with only one member of staff to man the bar and wait tables! Can't recommend the Pheasant.
Overall, Briarfield is OK as an overnighter, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. We paid £15, which was a little pricey as the showers were off-putting. A lack of security (other than that code number) also a slight concern.
