We stayed at Briarfields for one night en route to the south west. We were met by the site owners who booked us in and directed us to our pitch.
The site was well kept, pitches were of a reasonable size not to far from water points toilets etc, toilets/showers were very clean but a little bit tired.
The site was only a short ride away from Cheltenham, as we were only staying one night we didn't get any further afield.
The major downside of this site which will stop us returning was the horrendous noise from the motorway and nearby A road.

This is a stunning site. Incredibly quick to get to from the motorway, literally 3 mins. Free wifi which is a bonus!
Very friendly check in and young man informative about the area.
Toilets nice and clean.
Really close to Gloucester and Cheltenham, we had a lovely afternoon in Cheltenham which was a really pretty place. (Just a heads up if anyone is intending going to the famous arts and crafts museum in Cheltenham it is shut until next year for refurbishments. )
We used this site as a stopover but plan to go next year for a week to see more of the area and would not hesitate in using this site again.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We went there with a group of friends and they made sure they chose the perfect spot where we'd have plenty of space.
Would be better if catered more for tents though- seems to be geared towards campervans whose owners don't want tenters around- although that was perhaps just our experience.
Cannot fault the toilet cleanliness although perhaps a couple more showers would be handy as there are only 2. The roads surrounding the site are noisy but this is the sacrifice you make for its location being so close to the main roads and motorway.
The first night we all noticed the noise and it kept us awake but by the second night we were all so exhausted it didn't seem to bother us!
Great place if you have a dog- very animal friendly. Would recommend for a weekend break but I'd personally want to find a more peaceful location for a longer stay.

We have just spent a fantastic week with friends at Briarfields. The new owners Scott & Jo are very friendly & helpful. Our friends had a caravan & Scott said we could pitch our tent next to them so we could be together. The site itself is stunning with beautiful trees and shrubs all around the site, & the toilets and showers were immaculately clean all the time we were there. Another big plus for us, as well as it being convenient for the motorway, was to catch the bus outside the site, the service is every 10 mins to Cheltenham & Gloucester, and there is also a daily bus to Oxford giving us 6 hours there & all free with our bus passes. We highly recommend this site and will definitely be back.

I have nothing but praise for this site. The owners were very accommodating, on booking I was asked what size caravan I had and if I had a satellite dish and would I be putting up an awning.
I was then sited with my needs taken care of. On checking in I was given a A4 peice of paper full of very useful information (nearest park and ride for cheltenham, nearest shop, nearest caravan dealership, nearest chinese takeaway, info on car boot sales etc.) and all with directions.
The pitches where flat and very well maintained with hard standing for your van and a grass pitch for your awning, the site is bordered out with trees and shrubs and is very attractive.
I have read reviews about this site which mention having to enter a code to get into the toilet blocks, we were given a code but never had to use it as the door was always unlocked.
The toilets and showers where always clean and the showers where free to use, there was also heating in the toilet shower block. The site was situated within walking distance of a Harvester restaurant, and also a KFC. We had a fabulous meal at the Harvester and it was reasonably priced.
As mentioned in other reviews this site is situated near a busy main road, but to be honest we never really noticed it. I would recommend this site to everyone and I will definitely come back. A+

I wouldn't stay at this site again. There was nothing massively wrong with it, I just felt it was more geared up for caravans than tents.
The tent field was small, with no marked pitches. As a result people were on top of one another and it all felt very cramped.
The toilet block could have been cleaner too - both my partner and I noticed this. The block was definitely not checked as often as it should be, especially given how busy the site is.
Value for money wasn't bad, but I wouldn't stay here again.

A fabulous little site! We stopped for a couple of nights on our way down from Lancashire to Devon. Only about 5 minutes from the M5 it makes an ideal overnighter for anyone heading to/from the South West.
The owners were a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great grass pitch with plenty of room for our camper van and tent.
The toilet block was regularly checked and, despite the site being full as it was a bank holiday, was very clean.
A regular bus service (10 minute intervals) runs straight into Cheltenham town centre and picks up and drops off right outside the site. Plenty of shops and places to eat locally.
We'll definitely be back and have already recommended it to our friends.

We have just come back from this park after a few well deserved days here, On arrival we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome, this park is well kept. Toilet block was nice and clean and nice hot showers.
The site was right next to the major roads and airfield but didn't really bother us.
There were no dog bins on site. I would advise taking along 240v lead with you ours wouldn't reach but a very nice neighbour let me his spare so I had to double up.
But on the whole a very nice site, well be back!

Stayed for a long weekend recently, as we were visiting friends and family in the area.
The site is well located near to major roads in and around Cheltenham and Gloucester (A40 M5 etc) and access to everywhere we needed to go was fantastic.
The site itself was near to some fairly major roads, which in itself caused a fair amount of ambient traffic noise during the day, and is near Staverton Airport. This means ambient levels of noise are higher than a countryside retreat and you get the occasional aircraft overhead. But to be fair, that's always the trade-off when you need good access to major cities and towns and you're staying in a tent. It didn't disturb my sleep, let's put it that way!
The prices were very reasonable, and the owners were very helpful and accommodating: they were more than fair when it came to visitors meeting up with us on site.
The camping field is quite small, but we stayed in our Polzeath 8 (which is humongous) so maybe that just made it look smaller. The camping field is surrounded by the tourer pitches but you'd hardly notice. It's a 10 second walk to the very clean, always warm, and very well stocked ablutions block.
Only a couple of showers, but plenty of sinks and toilets and the site is small enough that this probably won't cause any problems.
Pitches were level and the field well kept, with plenty of shade if you want it. Nothing marked out, but I wouldn't expect that to be too much of a problem either. Only 2 Electric hook-up boxes (4 hook-ups total) in the field, but this allows them to be more flexible about pitching the tents.
Nothing for the kids to do, but luckily, there weren't many tents on site so carefully playing football and rugby didn't really disturb anyone. However, in high season, where space is at a premium, that could be it's one, and only, failing. They do, however, offer free Wi-Fi which we found very useful, if a little flaky in terms of signal strength.
No shop, but again - we didn't really need one and you can always find somewhere (KFC 3 minute walk away, as is a lovely Harvester!)
All in all, a superb place to stay, as a touring base. A family with kids would find it little quiet for anything longer than a few days.
We'll stay again for definite!

Well kept site. Clean toilets and powerful hot showers. There is traffic noise but it still has a calm feeling about it. The tent field does not have marked pitches which could be an issue in busier times but this is just speculation. Owners very helpful.
The location is fantastic for visiting places within Gloucestershire and there is lots of information in reception.
The wi-fi signal wasn't very strong but it was free. Would go there again.
