Excellent campsite, just outside Cheltanham on the A40 as you leave for Gloucester, there is a small motel there too. The staff are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The grass is in lovely condition, even this late in the season and the pitch for the caravan is concrete, and there is an area for tents too. The facility block is clean, if a little dated and the showers do not require coins. There is some traffic noise from the A40, but you soon get that you don’t notice it.
The pricing is simple; a one off charge for the pitch, occupants and showers. Excellent stuff!
Nearby are all the great attractions that Cheltenham and Gloucester have to offer, including local to Golden Castle Caravans (half a mile) and McIntyre Caravans, as well as a short drive from Attwools for the geeks amongst us who like to visit these places!
We stayed for a two-night weekend and the two children (six and nine) were happy to entertain themselves riding their scooters and hunting for conkers and acorns.

Excellent! Long time camper but first time with touring caravan. Booked a couple of nights here completely blind to test out our caravanning skills; had no idea what the campsite was going to be like.
Really, really nice. Yeah, It's right what others might have said about no kids facilities, but none of the ones I saw playing seemed to have any problem with that. As for us, they are all grown up so it's just the two of us and the campsite was just the ticket.
Very friendly staff, very helpful with 'what to do in and around Cheltenham'. Clean facilities and restful nights. Had torrential rain while we were there but as far as I could see, all the caravan pitches are hardstanding and nobody was peering out from the middle of an island the next day. It's one of those places that seems not to have to advertise; very low key but very nice all the same.

Used this site as a quick stopover when going to a birthday party in Cheltenham. Very nice - once we'd arrived we left the car, and cycled everywhere - to the Lido which was especially nice!
I have no criticism of the site, but hubby said the showers in the gents stank to high heaven, as if the drains needed a good cleaning.

One point to note, they seem to not stay open late in the evenings, but are happy for you to pay the following morning - however, you'll need to ask a friendly campsite neighbour to let you know the codes for the toilets!

Just had two nights camping at this site and really enjoyed it, mind you it was the hottest two days of the year. Turned up at the site without pre booking but they weren't all that busy, there were only three other tents on the pitch.

Reception were very pleasant, the pitch was flat and the facilities were nice and clean. They still use coded locks on the doors and we wondered why they were different too. Nearby P&R are handy for travelling into Cheltenham & Gloucester.

The only problem we found was the noisy roads but you soon get used to them.

We have plans to return to the site this year.

We only used this site as a (very convenient) stopover for one night during our trip further north. The pitches are of a reasonable size - Virtually all hard standing with grass to the side for awnings, parking, etc.

The facilities were clean and modern, and the site seemed well maintained.

Cheltenham town is but a stones throw away, and Gloucester not much further, on the other side of the M5. The M5 itself is extremely convenient, approx 2 miles from the site.

We will certainly use the site again for odd nights on our fairly frequent journeys north, but would also like to spend a few days there sometime in order to explore the local area a little more.

A great little site. One small tent field (with a couple of hook-ups) and a road around this with caravan pitches either side. All hardstanding for the caravans. Very neat and tidy. No childrens facilities, and a small pond which you need to watch your kids with. Also very close to a fast road, so watch your kids near to the entrance. Lovely heated toilets with pretty good showers. The ladies and gents toilets, and laundry room each have a combination lock. You are given the combinations on arrival (we still can't work out why each has a different combination!).

No shop on the immediate site, although the static part of the site continues over the main road, and there is a good convenience store/newsagent you can walk to through this (5 minutes). Very good pub 5 minutes walk away (turn left out of the site). Caravan shop/dealer on same road about two miles away (turn left out of site).

The airport added some interest. Very busy, but only light aircraft, helicopters, some vintage planes and the occasional Learjet. Not too noisy.

2 minutes from juncion 11 of the M5, so it would be ideal as a stop over. We will definitely go back.

Very nice site with good clean facilities, Plenty of room per pitch and quite a peaceful setting next to a field. Beware of light aircraft over head it must be next to Gloucester airfield, not too noisy though as they are only small planes. No shop on site but on check-in you are supplied with some useful information about the area which includes local shops/takeaways/bus times etc. All are not too far away. Our pitch tended to "trip out" quite easily when using too many things at once, for example a kettle and a tv, so be carefull of that, I am not sure how many amps you can use but I don't think it's much.
We had a great stay and would return again. Enjoy...
