Just spent 8 nights at this lovely site. Has lots going for it: good showers and toilets, beautiful grounds, very friendly and helpful wardens, close to Cheltenham. Suggest you catch bus into CHeltenham as the bus stops across the road from the site and reduces hassle of driving through Cheltenham. There is road noise but varies according to the wind direction. Some aeroplane activity over the site but we enjoyed watching the range of planes. Hard standing with gravel for awning and large grassy patch to sit on. Quite busy at weekends so book ahead if possible. Now an acsi site so many European visitors

Beautiful, immaculately maintained site on the outskirts of Cheltenham. Regular bus service into town (£2) from right outside the site. Some road noise from nearby main road, but not too bad; local airport similarly not unduly busy. The site itself is level and grassy, with hardstanding for cartavans.

The proprieters really do work hard to keep the site spot on - I even found the owner cleaning the gents at midnight! When I managed to flatten my battery they cheerfully lent me some very substantial jump leads. All in all an excellent experience, handy for the motorway, the Cotswolds and the Malverns - so much to explore!

Lovely site owners very welcoming pitch a bit tight but ok, Toilets and showers brilliant just those extra touches that made all the difference. Owner directed us to a lovely area to walk our dogs and a place to have a pint and meet a few locals only on an over night stay down to the west country but wish we had longer

A very clean site with modern toilet/facilities. Tenting field was level and well maintained. Enjoyed our stay. Good amenities close by as well. Ideal spot. Took my grandchildren who might have liked to play on the trampoline or swing in the owners garden as there was no playground but children can't have everything they see!

Fantastic site, will certainly return. Very friendly welcome, extremely clean showers, toilets, laundry & washing-up area. Well maintained garden areas, grass & trees. Easy to get to conveniences from every pitch. Easy access to Gloucester & Cheltenham by bus which stops outside gate. Eating places and supermarket within easy walk. Extremely good value for money.

This is an ideal site for a night or two to break the long journey to the West country. The site is well maintained with clean efficient toilet/shower blocks. The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

The bus service from the gates is excellent and we enjoyed visits to Cheltenham and Glouster which are both worth at least one visit.

The road noise is intrusive and starts very early in the morning, but you can't have convenient road access without the drawback of traffic.

Just returned from a long weekend at this site.

The location is excellent just 1/2 a mile or so from the M5 but also about the same from the airport so can have a little aircraft noise although not a problem.

The site is well laid out and is mostly hard standing.

Toilet and shower block is nice and clean.

There is an asda and a park and ride just the other side of the road to the campsite and a bus stop just outside.

We have been here a few times before and will return again when in the area.

I will return to Briarfields Touring Park again. I score it 10 out of 10 for everything. Just perfect. The site is spotless clean, the showers toilet spectacular. The owners very friendly and helpful. Bus right outside site, it was so convenient. Will be recommending this site to all our friends and all the people we meet along our travels.

The positives first. Very convenient for Cheltenham. Buses outside the site - every 10 minutes into Cheltenham. Also frequent service to Gloucester. Site is clean, efficient, staff are friendly and helpful, pitches are mostly hard standing though a bit close together to pack 'em in, easy food shopping nearby, toilet block is clean and well-maintained with everything working well etc. BUT - the road noise is non-stop. The M5, only less than a mile away, provides 24/7 background hum. The A40 a few hundred yards away gives noise from around 6am to around midnight. Thirdly, a small road, at the back of our pitch, gives daytime 'rat-run' noise. So you either don't care about this and accept the stated advantages of the site or you leave early, screaming for peace and quiet. Sites should have a 'road noise irritation' rating. On a scale of 1 to 10 this would rank at 9. Nothing can be done about this so I attach no blame or criticism to the site owners but potential users be warned. You can probably buy good ear plugs.

We recently stayed overnight at this site en route to Lincolnshire from Cornwall. Shown on our UK road map it seemed an ideal place to break our journey. It is only about a mile from the M5, so very convenient and well signposted. We were given a very friendly reception and a choice of pitches. The site and washrooms were spotless. There were shopping, eating places and a takeaway within walking distance and a bus stop right outside the gates. Although there was some road noise, mainly at commuter time, this soon quietened down and was not disturbing. We have already recommended Briarfields to friends and will certainly use the site again, probably for a longer stay to see the area.
