Have just returned from a 4 night stay, the shower block is excellent and now that there are 2 new additional showers in the ladies there is no waiting around. Exceptionally easy access and a great welcome in reception, there is a key fob to use to raise the barrier during your stay which you have to pay a deposit (in cash) of £10 and receive it back on day of departure. Some people have mentioned the road noise and yes it is noisy but then again you are just next to a major road but it didn't wake us up, the only thing that did wake us up was the person who insisted on parking on the gravel outside our caravan each morning to use the shower block. There is Harvester restaurant 5 minutes walk away together with a KFC and an Asda supermarket just past there. We visited Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bourton on the Water (very pleasant) and Oxford.

A great site in an excellent position for Cheltenham and Gloucester. They have done some work on the toilet block and reception making the site even better. The toilets are always spotless. The pitches are large and hard standing. Despite torrential rain whilst there it was good to get out of the van and walk round the Tarmac road, hence no damp feet. Fees are extremely good, easy on line booking, with excellent free wifi, even our tv picture was good with an internal aerial and no booster.

Scott and his partner run a fantastic ste and extremely helpful and chatty.

Highly recommend this site - just leave space for me!

A well laid out site which is beautifully maintained with an immaculate shower block and toilet facilities. The owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for motorway access and bus service into the town centre with buses running every ten minutes. All in all this is a five star sight.

This is a clean, tidy and compact site with very good facilities. The pitches maybe a little smaller than some but we had enough space. The tent field looked really pleasant and closer to facilities than the caravans, although none far away as it is not a large site. The site is easy to find and access and the proprietors are extremely friendly and helpful. There is no shop on site but a huge Asda is very nearby. We had absolutely no complaints about Briarsfields and it suited our needs. My only reservations are the road noise which is am almost constant but not that loud, and it does feel a little soulless, but as a base to visit Cheltenham, Gloucester and beyond it is ideal.

This is a very nice site, with good toilet and shower facilities. If you do not like horses then ask to be sited away from the field with horses! We use a sat nav and have got very lazy these days and so we just put in the post code and went straight to GCHQ. Short trip around the houses and a phone call later and we found the site, Had we followed the instructions and looked at a map the site would have been easily found!

Excellent campsite. The toilets were immaculate, very clean and heated with music as well. Landscaping was also lovely. Tents were separate to the motorhomes and caravans. Good cycle path into Cheltenham although it is a bit busy. 6 miles from Gloucester. Harvester 5 mins walk, Asda 10 minute walk. The owner was lovely and helpful.

Stayed bank holiday weekend for 2 nights, clean well kept site, shower blocks clean and warm. Plenty to do in surrounding areas, bus service every 10 mins from outside Briarfields. Supermarket and shops nearby. Some people mention traffic noise didn't realy notice it much. Found an excellent Chinese restaurant in Cheltenham town called Happy Gardens £20 each for 4 drinks of your choice plus a 3 course meal there was 6 of us and couldn't eat it all. Will return to Briarfields for a weekend again.

We stay at this site regularly because our daughter lives nearby and this is favourite site, the facilities are always immaculate and more than adequate for the size of the site, the owners are always so friendly and helpful. This site is ideally located to explore the Cotswolds or visit Cheltenham and Gloucester, in fact you can get to so many places from here that we would recommend this site to everyone.

This is my second visit to this site and since my last visit more showers have being added, the last time I came they had just got the planning ok.

The site is as before immaculate with the extra touches making the difference I/e showers big enough to move in with plenty of hooks a stool and duck board. Must be the best toilet block I have used in many years of camping.

People have mentioned the noise which to me is not so bad after a day or two and is considerably quieter after about 7 30pm. There is shopping, food and beer within 15mins walk.

The bus service, Cheltenham to Gloucester, is every 10mins outside and is excellent.

I would say you could not stop anywhere better in this area and Scott and Jo are the perfect host.

Thanks to you both.

Just spent 8 nights at this lovely site. Has lots going for it: good showers and toilets, beautiful grounds, very friendly and helpful wardens, close to Cheltenham. Suggest you catch bus into CHeltenham as the bus stops across the road from the site and reduces hassle of driving through Cheltenham. There is road noise but varies according to the wind direction. Some aeroplane activity over the site but we enjoyed watching the range of planes. Hard standing with gravel for awning and large grassy patch to sit on. Quite busy at weekends so book ahead if possible. Now an acsi site so many European visitors
