We visited this site with a small group of families.

Nice and easy access off the main road between Wareham and Corfe Castle, on entering the site we found that there is not much room to park around the reception area, however, after a short wait we were shown to our pitch, as you drive past the reception / shop it was clear that this is still a working farm, lots of old clapped out vehicles (tractors/quads etc) and lots of old buildings some housing animals. On passing this you then enter the campsite, nice tarmac road that runs through the site to the far field.

We were pitched in the main field, great size pitches and plenty of room, with a green netting running behind the pitches, this was a good idea both for a wind break and to stop little ones running across the road.

The site has two toilet/shower blocks, these were all very well thought out, although I am not sure that the site had enough toilets, 4 in each of the mens meaning a total of 8 toilets, that said I never had to wait ( I'm not an early riser) but others in our group did say they had a short wait. The toilets are separate from the showers, this we thought was a great idea, the showers in the main block had no push button and you could control both the temperature and flow of water, the pond fields showers were push button. The shower cubicles had plenty of hooks, shelves, changing area and a seat, very well thought out, also 3 separate wash cubicles with a sink.

The only downside was that they were only cleaned once a day between 11. 00 and 15. 00, they close one area at a time for cleaning, this meant that they may have been cleaned at 11, used all day including the busy times of when people return from the beach, then used at peak times in the morning, all with no further cleaning, this meant that the facilities really were not always very clean (one thing we could not understand was why so much toilet paper ended up all over the cubicle floors) ??? very odd

This is a working farm, between the campsite and shop you have to walk past the farm yard with its strong farm smells (although we never had the smell at our pitch), when it rained the path/road to and from did become rather 'mucky'. Also the area where you can see the animals was 'mucky' but again its not a petting zoo, just didn't seem the best place to take kids in.

All of our group did have an issue with flies in our units, take plenty of fly spray, we found the electric zapper bats handy.

Onsite shop is ok, sells most basics

Nice dog walk runs along the site and into woodland, we did notice that a number of dogs were off leads on site, this meant that a few 'parcels' were dotted around the site. Very annoying, the site rules are that dogs must be on a lead, but I think we had a number of campers who didn't think it meant for their dogs.

Location of the site is good, and easy 25 minute walk to corfe castle with a number of pubs, the walk is well away from the road.

No noise on site after 11. 00pm as per the rules

On the pond field is a catering unit, we only used this once as it was expensive (£3. 50 for chips) and had a very limited menu, breakfast roll £2. 50 + 50p each item, evening menu sausage, burger or fish, hence why we did not use it as we can cook sausage and burger ourselves easily, I was also told food was very slow to be cooked.

Each week they have a 'hog roast', advertised to start at 5pm we went to the pond field, no sign of it, we asked the catering unit who said we could buy a ticket off her and it would be along soon, so we purchased the tickets (£4. 50 each) and went back to our pitch and waited, at around 5. 40 a 4x4 went past towing a trailer (with the same name on as the catering van) so we gave it 10 minutes before going to have a look. We were a little shocked to see it pitched up next to the bins, waste disposal point and chemical toilet point on one side and the toilet block the other, looking at the pig on the spit (that wasn't turned on) we thought it looked like it had been there since the last week, the 'chef' looked like he had just come in from working on a farm, at this point he asked his helper to get some hot water in a tray, when she returned he started to carve the pig into the tray of hot water, this we think was to try to get some heat into it. On collecting our roll he dipped into the water and chucked what I can only describe as pig swill onto the roll, no stuffing provided, only a huge tub of the cheapest catering apple sauce. By the time I got back to my unit the bottom of the tray was swimming in water and the roll wet and falling to bits, it went straight in the bin. I have in the past booked people to do hog roast and never before seen one so dirty and badly cooked/presented. If you want a hog roll go to the sausage factory in weymouth, £3. 00 lots of meat inc stuffing :)

This site for us could have been in our top 10 sites, we feel it would be better to separate the farm from the campsite, a few more loos and cleaned more often really is needed.

Just returned from 3 nights at Norden Farm. Very large pitch well marked out, no road noise just the cockerel in our vicinity but we were on a farm after all.

Arrived on Wednesday toilet block for Pond & Top field very clean, with plenty of hot water. (site not full)

Site population increased to full by weekend due to start of school summer holidays leading to queuing for both ladies & gents toilets/showers. (ladies showers outside the door) The toilets started show the strain.

Facilities unable to cope with site full.

Would not put me off returning as the views from the site & the size of the pitches made up for the Saturday morning, but would consider whether a peak time visit is worth the hassle should we wish to visit this site again.

Site shop well stocked, electric hook ups and small playground for younger children an advantage, a portable cafe on site serving hot food and drinks in the morning and evening also available.

Overall an enjoyable stay.

Norden Farm is a special site that oozes nostalgia. When we first visited I loved the look of the farm etc, however I didn't really appreciate it then as we stayed for one night in the top field before the facilities were put in there, which wasn't ideal so decided to move on quickly. However I was curious to give it another go, especially as my Sister loves it here and is a regular. So glad we did as we have just returned from a really lovely stay at Norden that changed my mind, and confirmed that I also love it and will be back regularly!

Located ideally for Corfe, Wareham and Swanage, as well as the beaches at Shell Bay etc Norden is a working farm with all the associated sounds and smells which I personally loved, if you don't it's not for you. The farm area has a shabby chic nostalgic feel with lots of free ranging animals all over the place which was brilliant! There were baby cows, goats, pigs, turkeys, peacocks, geese ducks, chickens, donkeys, sheep etc all of which thrilled and delighted my niece (and me too!) The animals make the site feel extra special, along with the farm and nostalgic feel.

The facilities were good, and kept clean during our stay, and the staff were friendly. The shop/reception is well stocked and full of all sorts(nice farm eggs and scones!)again it feels very nostalgic which I loved, there is also a nice selection of flowers and plants in the little nursery, and a pet/equestrian supplies shop there. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked nice. The childs bath was ideal, and the doggy shower (which we didn't use this time) is a lovely touch and I'm sure will come in very handy.

We used the circular woodland walk which was nice, I believe you can walk from here to Corfe Castle over the hill(maybe next time!). We stayed here Sun-Tues and it was not that busy, I'm told it gets very busy at times so would be interested to see what i't's like then.

So happy I gave Norden another go, as I now realise it is a special site which I love and we plan to use it whenever we want to stay in the area.

The location of this site is fantastic, Corfe very close and a lovely village to visit. Also nice beaches a short drive away.

That is about the only positives I can give about this site. The toilets and shower blocks are disgusting, they are not cleaned anywhere near often enough and as a result are pretty gross. The toilets near the top field smelt for the duration of our stay. The water in the washing up room is luke warm at best.

The staff are extremely unfriendly and need a lesson in customer service, the lady who booked us in didn't even look up and acknowledge us!

Whilst we were there, there was some sort of all night party happening locally which apparently happens every year but there was no warning of this on the news section of the website. Basically they gave the impression that it is not their problem. The music didn't stop until gone 4am!

This site is awful, I would advise that you don't waste your money here, there are lots of other good campsites in this area that I have found to be far better.

Oh and finally there are signs and warnings everywhere for things that you are not allowed to do otherwise 'you may be asked to leave'!

I visited Norden Farm for the second time in May this year on the specific request of my granddaughters who had such a great time a few years ago. They adore animals and wanted to go back to see them. The girls visited the goats and calves repeatedly and gave them all names.

The site was full (half term holiday) but there was never a long wait for the facilities. The toilet blocks were clean but the showers were not always hot. We had a problem with a group of very noisy, selfish camping neighbours which spoiled our evenings but other than that, we had a great time.

We walked to Norden station (10 mins) and caught the steam train into Swanage, had fish and chips on the beach and the kids played on the sand. We also walked to Corfe Castle (20 mins or so)and went to the miniature village which the girls really enjoyed.

I will almost certainly book a long weekend at this campsite again.

Stayed here with friends the second week of September. It was absolute bliss as there were only a few campers on the whole site ! The location is fab. Pub a 15 min walk away(good food and real ale) We were very lucky with the weather and really experienced the site in perfect conditions. Faculties were very good with clean hot showers. The shop was nicely stocked. The farm animals added a lovely atmosphere and we saw and heard plenty of wildlife during our stay. Corfe is a beautiful village. Visiting the castle is a must just for the views alone! Our favourite beach was shell bay being dog friendly all year round and truly one of the most stunning beaches in the UK. White sand and turquoise water :-) Swanage is a 10 mins car journey away and lulworth cove and durdle door also worth a visit! Not sure what the site would be like full as it is fairly large but my advice would be to avoid school holidays etc as I'm told the area gets incredibly busy.

We stayed at this campsite for the second time in August 2012, having given it the benefit of the doubt from our last visit in July 2010. We stayed in the Pond field, with EHU. Our last visit was in the top field without EHU.

Although the toilet/shower facilities at this end of the site had been updated since our last visit, these were generally very dirty with toilet tissue and mud over the floors most times of the day. The shower/washing facilities were also not clean, mainly due to other campers leaving hairs or dirty cotton wool on the side of the sinks. Unfortunately, it didn't seem as though the facilities were ever 'closed for cleaning' as is the case at most other campsites. You sometimes saw a cleaner entering the toilets during the mid morning rush but this seemed just to be to spray air freshener around.

The fields were rather muddy and not well kept, although to be fair it had been rather wet. We had several 'holes' in the ground on our pitch which meant the water just sat under our tent, making it feel quite 'squishy' at times.

In general this is a superbly located site, with easy access to many beautiful places such as Corfe, Swanage and Studland. There is also a very good pub not far away (The Halfway Inn) that serves fantastic food and beer, with friendly staff and a child friendly atmosphere.

However, we did feel that this site did not match up to our expectations of cleanliness and it felt rather too busy and noisy for us to consider visiting again.

This is a really good base site for doing all kinds of stuff in the area with Corfe Castle just down the road, a steam train into Swanage with other quaint little places en route, and a good bike ride down to Studland with the option of catching the chain ferry over to Poole which is well worth the effort.

The site itself is well managed. Washrooms are ample and clean. Well stocked shop with friendly & helpful staff. Nice play area for the kids, fishing pond with tackle and bait available from the shop, and plenty of room (on the top field at least) for a kick around, frisbee, general mayhem and stuff.

This was meant as a 2 night stopover on our way to Cornwall but we stopped another night just to do more stuff in the area.

Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Donkey Field over August Bank Holiday when the site was fully booked. We turned up without a booking and the staff were extremely helpful and found us a spot for our small tent.

The facilities were modern and clean with a hot shower and washing up available at all times of the day although the queues were long in the mornings. The shop was well stocked with fresh farm produce also available. There was a burger/fish & chip van serving in the evenings. Our dogs were also welcomed onto the site and we found several footpaths leading to woodland or open countryside from the camp site, which made for tired well-behaved doggies!

This is a large, busy, family orientated site so you shouldn't expect it to be too quiet with football/cricket/rounders matches springing up around you and children playing freely, but it was a good experience and the customer service would entice us back.

A great site for large groups.

We stayed on the Donkey field for one night and look forward to returning soon.

Was a bit concerned that our two terriers would not appreciate the chickens and peacocks roaming freely however we were pleasantly surprised as it was not a problem. In fact it was lovely to see and hear them free ranging.

Showers and toilets were faultless as was the washing up area which was nicely situated under cover. We did not have children with us but there was a good play area and lots of animals (cows, goats, birds etc) to keep them entertained.

Half a mile walk into Corfe Castle on a safe pathway away from the road. From Corfe the steam train runs to Swanage which is nice. We walked the ridge back from Swanage (about 7 or 8 miles) and there are plenty of other walks direct from the site.

We did not use the shop but it looked well stocked.

Overall a great site.
