Just back from a long weekend at Norden Farm, on the whole a pleasant site to stay.
We arrived Saturday just after 12, check in was painless, and were guided to our pitch by a lad on a Quad Bike - he was very polite and friendly.
It had been raining very hard for the past couple of days, so there were the odd puddles nearby, some of the site was a bit muddy, but then it is an all grass site (i. E. No hard standings).
We were in the 'Pond Field' - with the toilet block right next to us. Showers were good, fixed head on a push button that lasted maybe 30 seconds - they were hot, maybe a tad too hot, but they stayed hot. Yes, shower block floor got a bit dirty, but it was raining a lot and this is a grass site.
Considering how full the site was, there were no queues for the showers or toilets. There did appear to be a fair number of caravans that were sited there permanently - judging by the huge TV aerials !
On the subject of TV - reception was excellent using our status directional aerial. WIFI also available and signal strength was good - chargeable of course - £6 for 48 hours was not too bad though.
Children's play area is small, couple of swings, a see-saw and climbing frame \ slide.
Shop sells a range of food \ sundry items and horse pet items - also has a small garden centre selling plants. As with most camp shops the food is higher priced than the supermarkets - but then you are paying for the convenience.
Didn't use the Fishing Facilities so cannot comment.
This is a working farm so there are animals to be seen, which the kids liked - Cows, Calves, Pigs, Chickens, Horses and more. There is a lot of farm machinery around and plenty of 'no entry' type areas - not an issue, bit kids would need to be warned \ watched.
Our only complaint we have was the Pig Roast that was on-site for the Sat & Sun night - they played loud music whilst they were open which really wasn't necessary, we had to ask them to turn it down as we were trying to get our 3 year old to sleep at 8pm.
Site is an easy 10 minute walk (down the main road) to Norden Station - where you can catch the Steam Train to Corfe or onto Swanage - a great car-free day out.
This is a fairly large site, so was busy and evening noise was apparent - but it did start to go quiet after around 9pm so no complaints.
An enjoyable weekend.

Spent 4 nights on the main field. Good spacious pitches and clean facilities the ground is hard so bring good pegs for awnings. This is a working farm and as such you do find small animals wandering about the place but this just adds to the character of the site. The on site shop stocks almost everything you can think of. Locally there are plenty of pubs to eat and access to sites of interest is good. During our visit the site was quiet at night time and no late night traffic movement. The pond for fishing is small not very deep but has big carp upto 27lb and hardly anyone fishing. We found the site to be convenient for many attractions in Dorset and can recommend it if you are looking for a well kept site without big club house type of facilities.

This was our third time to stay at Norden Farm on the pond field and was greeted with the same friendly welcome and service.
Toilets/shower block were all ways clean stocked with toilet paper and the water was all ways hot even over the bank holiday period.
The only gripe I had was parents tacking their young kids into the gents toilets to clean there teeth at night when there is the shower room next door.
Shop is well stocked (you name it they have it)and not over priced.
There is also a small play area for the kids and a pets corner.
The pond is always a added bonus to teach my son the basics of fishing.
After dark the the camp did quiet down and after 11pm all you could hear was the tent zips going for the toilet run.
The site is just a short walk to Corfe town with pleasant pubs and shops.
I would recommend this site to other people and I will be looking forward to visiting again some time next year.

We spent a week here during the summer holidays in the tent field. We decided last minute on this site and rang in morning of departure to check availability and they were able to accommodate us. On arrival we checked in and was given directions to the tent field and told to pitch where ever we wanted in that field. As we were driving through the site I was getting a little worried as to how busy it was as everyone seemed a bit crammed together in the eclectic areas. However on arrival to the tent field and after a couple of drives around the very busy field we found a spot in the middle of the field and ended up with plenty of space. Once pitched and sitting out in the sunshine all I thought was wow! what a lovely view, the tent field is in a little valley with hills on one side and woods on the other.
Showers were always hot had to wait on a few occasions at peak times but not for long and it was summer hols so was expected. The toilets etc were spotless the first 2 days of our holiday but as the week went on they got grubbier hour by hour maybe as was busier or not enough staff I don't know but definitely noticed the difference after the 2 days. The toilet block by reception was always clean and bigger though as was the laundry room which also got busy. The park was also by the entrance at the beginning of the park so a fair way from the tent so wouldn't let my children go there on their own. Had a nice farm animal area that you could view and chickens peacocks roaming freely which we all loved and a nice fishing pond which both gave additional entertainment for the kids and hubby.
Farm shop was great fresh rolls daily and cheap too, had all that you would require as well as a few bits for the kids spending money.
All in all a nice site, friendly staff, has got great facilities just toilets etc could do with being cleaned more in the height of season otherwise would have given a full 10.
Local area great, went to corfe caste which we walked to through the hills 20mins (with little legs) visted Swanage beach lovely there has a little fun fair and all that you would find on a traditional seafront punch and judy too. Also a nice little town with gift shops etc. Also visted wareham where there is a small sainsburys for supplies and local takeaways Chinese etc. Te blue pool worth a visit has tea rooms there also went across the road and did some blueberry picking.
I will return as a lovely site just hope next time the toilets are cleaner.

We were in Pond Field and off the beaten track with electrical hook up. The site is very well maintained and although busy after 23:00 hours people respected the need to keep the noise down which I found very pleasing.
What I would say that did score it down for me was the maintaining of the toilet and shower blocks, which when we have been previously (Low Season)were not kept to the same standard as previously experienced, this I can only put down to the fact that it was high season.

A nice setting with good facilities. I would not like to stay in one of the marked pitches and was a bit worried when we arrived and saw how busy the site was. However, we were with a group of friends in the top field where we could choose our own space and set up our group of tents as we wanted. It was just right, away from the bustle.
Great walks from the site and amazing views from the hill accessible from our field. We were able to get away from the camp lights and watch the shooting stars.

This was our first visit to this site, and were located on one of the first pitches (with electric hook up) nearest the park and the shower block (of which there are two). This was handy as I had my two boys (4 & 6). The park isn't huge, but big enough to entertain the children.
Our pitch was about 20m from the hook up point. Although I only have a 15m cable, an extension lead was available from the shop for a small deposit (no charge to actually borrow)
The site is very big, but the pitches were generous in size with plenty of space for the children. I never had a problem with queuing for the shower, toilets or washing up facilities, despite what other reviews have stated. Although the family shower room never seemed open/available.
The shop is very convenient, and although busy seems very reasonable.
It appears to be a noisy site, and one thing that did irritate me was that there appears to be no restriction on motor vehicle movement at night. Our pitch backed on to the main track through the site, so people coming and going into the evening was disappointing.
The location is brilliant. It's off the main road, but set far enough back not to be a problem. You can also easily walk to the Norden railway station and catch the steam train into Swanage. Corfe Castle is again a short distance away. It can be walked, but I drove and parked after we had left the site. I suggest doing this early as by 11 on Sunday, all car parks were full in Corfe Castle. We then had lunch at the New Inn (about a further 1. 5 mile away), which served fantastic food.
Swanage itself is a great sea-side town and the kids loved it. Studland (nearby) has a fantastic beach.
Although it is a working farm, I didn't really find the farm noise/smell a problem. I think this rather added to the charm of the site.
Oh and there is an on site burger van that does breakfasts and dinner. I didn't use it, but had I known before would have put it to good use after turning up at 19:00 (last orders 20:00)!

Just returned from our fourth visit to Nordon Farm, it never seems to disappoint. The site has changed little since our last visit(2012) with a warm welcome from owner and speedy check in. Nordon offers all that you would expect from a working farm including a noisy cockerel!
Pitches are well kept and mowed regularly, they are spacious with room for ball games etc.
Rubbish is collected frequently and the farm shop offers a range of locally sourced produce including delicious free range eggs.
Showers, loo's and washing up facilities are cleaned daily, there is always plenty of hot water;during peak season the showers are busy but if you choose your times carefully queueing can be avoided.
Staff are approachable and friendly as are the farm dogs!
Nordon is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and within walking distance to Corfe Castle and Nordon steam railway.

What a fantastic time we have just had for our 2nd visit to norden farm, we stayed for 17 nights during a very busy time with swanage carnival week going on but the site coped well, we had a nice large pitch in 'main field' nice and close to the play area and facilities, the wash facilities were great with 4 large unisex showers that is perfect when you have children, my boys have always hated going in the ladies showers, each shower has plenty of room, a shower that you can take down and adjust the temperature and no need to push a button every 5 seconds! Bliss, these were in between the separate mens and women's showers, there was also a good family room with a separate bath and shower, even during such a busy time I only had to wait once for a shower, the is a good laundry with 2 washers, 2 dryers, 2 sinks and an iron and board as well as a dish wash room and dog wash room.
The shop was very good open 8 till 8 every day with all sorts of camping items plus a great selection of fresh burgers, sausages, fresh meat, free rang eggs, there was always fresh croissants and bread, beer and wine and not bad prices either.
This was a great relaxed site where everyone was nice and friendly, the kids soon made friends and so did we, not too many rules and regulations like lots of sites but still a site where people didn't make lots of noise after dark so so many other sites.
A bus stops right outside the site to take you into swanage or wareham some great days out from here like swanage, weymouth, corfe castle, beaulie etc,
Remember this is a working farm so there are some smells and noises but still a great site I will be back again next year to this was a truly fantastic family friendly site that I would recommend to anyone

We stayed here for 9 nights. It is a great site and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fairly big sites.
The EHU pitches are fairly spacious. There is room in the middle of each of the 3 fields to play ball games, but not a huge amount of space. The tent field is much bigger with better views and you can pitch where you want. The ground drained well when it rained and wasn't sloping so it's easy to pitch. The site is on a working farm and you can't escape that - there are animals, muck, smells and plenty of flies that give it away. This all adds to the experience though and doesn't spoil a thing. There is even a small area for children to go and see some farm animals.
There are 2 toilet blocks. Despite it being the school holidays and the site being full we didn't have to queue. The showers are excellent, you can change the temperature and they are not fixed in position, they are also free. They are cleaned once a day, the floors do get dirty, particularly in wet weather. But it is only what I would expect staying on a farm - the same applies to the toilets! There is a family room with a small bath and also a shower and toilet. This is great for young families. The laundrette has 2 washers and driers, cost to wash and dry a large load is about £8. The washing up area is good and under cover. It looks out over the park which means you can watch the kids while you wash up. The park is also good, not massive but ample for under 10's. There is nothing for older children to do - but their website does make this clear! The shop is great, stocks a wide range of things including lovely fresh bread and scones.
The site is in an amazing location, a short(ish) walk to Corfe Castle and pubs, 10 minutes drive to Studland beaches, Wareham (supermarket, sports centre with pool for wet days, nice pubs to eat in), Swannage which is a traditional seaside town.
All the staff are good. There is no sense that they would go out of the way to help you like you get on smaller campsites, however, they are professional, efficient and friendly. There were some people who had seasonal pitches where we were camping who were not very friendly which was a shame, we always enjoy getting to know the neighbours, but that is no fault of the sites.
This is a very big site, and for that reason alone I probably wouldn't return, but that is down to personal preference, not because I didn't enjoy our holiday or that I wouldn't recommend it as it is a very good site.
