There were 6 of us in our party using 2 tents and a toilet tent and managed to get a last minute pitch (same day). We were situated in the Pond field right at the back of the farm without electrical hook up.

The pond field was a large, open plan field without electrical hook up and pitches were unmarked. Electrical hook up was in the main field. Toilets and showers were lovely - clean, well serviced and only queued for the showers once (avoid 8am-9am).

We used the main field toilets and showers a few times they were superb with tap showers rather than timed showers like the pond field. It made it easier showering our children so was worth the five minute walk down the site to use better facilities.

There was a burger van on site which was handy as we arrived at 7pm but we didn't eat there again as it was a little bit expensive (£5 for burger and chips).

The wash-up was very clean plenty of piping hot water and ample space. There were all sorts of posters and advertising on the walls in the wash-up giving you information on local walks etc

The shop was well stocked contained everything you needed but some items were quite expensive.

There was a bus stop by the main road that took you into Swanage.

We walked from the site to Corfe Castle one day which took us half an hour and was a lovely path away from the busy road.

We enjoyed the fact that this site is a working farm and children often enjoy looking at the animals. This said there was also a children's play park which was very handy!

We will certainly visit this site again!

A great site for our first holiday with a motorhome. The site is very easy to find, being just off the main Wareham to Swanage road (not that you can hear the road from the site).

Check in was easy and the site is well laid out. We stayed in the 'donkey' field which was beside the farm. There was some noise from the farm, but it subsided at sundown and start after our boys were awake so we didn't mind at all. The chickens wandering around the field were charming and quite comical.

The facilities are excellent. Showers are hot all through the day, and a family room is available for families with young children, which was brilliant, as our boys are not keen on showers.

You do have to watch the kids, it's a good idea to take them round showing where the farm areas are and where they must not go, otherwise they tend to disappear and investigate restricted areas. The Donkey field was a bit muddy when we went, as the site is busy, pitches don't get a chance to really dry out.

Easy walk to Corfe Castle, and the train to Swanage was good fun. We preferred Lulworth Cove for a seaside day, which is a 20 minute drive ish.

Stayed on this site for fourteen nights with my wife and two young boys, 4 and 6.

We arrived around 1. 30pm on a Saturday and checking in was fast and efficient, though we did see queues for checking in at other times during our stay.

We were given a site map and told to camp anywhere in the top field but were advised to avoid an area to the left of the entrance that gets boggy when wet. From what I could see, all the other fields where given over to electric hook up with the top field being for tents and motorhomes with no hook up.

The top field is huge and seemed to be fairly quiet when we arrived. We managed to find a pitch along the edge of the field backing onto the pond field.

It had been dry for a couple of days before we arrived and the ground was very hard. So hard that I had to use mainly rock pegs instead of the plastic pegs that were supplied with our outwell.

The ground soon softened after rain, so others may not have the same difficulty but it's worth bearing in mind.

The nearest shower block to the top field is located within the pond field area. From where we were pitched it was only a short walk but if you pitch at the very far end of the top field, then you'll have quite a trek to the loos and pot wash.

The facilities were generally clean and tidy except at very busy times.

We usually shower in the evenings and we never had to queue, though we did notice queues in the morning rush.

There was also the odd queue for the pot wash after breakfast.

The small site shop is well stocked and quite competitively priced. The fresh croissants were fantastic. The shop also rents freezer blocks for your cool box. There's a small deposit and each block costs 25p.

The children's play area and the animals were a hit with our children. Although we were away from site nearly all day, so they didn't use the play area that much.

The site is ideally located for the Swanage Railway and Corfe Castle, and is a short drive to the nice little town of Wareham.

The fantastic beaches at Studland are about five miles away. The beaches are owned by the National Trust and parking is quite expensive if you're not a member. Other places we visited were Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Kimmeridge Bay.

We also visited Moors Valley Country Park and Forest. This is about 25 miles away near Bournemouth. This is a fantasticpark with a great play trail which our boys loved. It is well worth the drive and the £8 parking fee as there is plenty to do for a full day.

One place to avoid is Adventure Wonderland, also near Bournemouth. We visited because our boys like Octonauts and they had a meet Captain Barncales day when we were in the area. The park is overpriced and very small compared to others of a similar price.

If you like to eat out then the Halfway Inn, about a mile away on the side of the A351, does great food and has a small play area. Also, the Red Lion in Wareham serves excellent food and is very welcoming. Both serve top notch real ales.

This site is by far the biggest site that we have ever stayed on. It wasn't too bad apart from a two day period in the middle of our fortnight when the site got very busy. Although not overcrowded, there were too many people there for my liking.

On the whole, this is a good site in a very good location but may be a little too large for some.

Would we stay again? Probably not. We would try a smaller site next time.

Just spent a week here, the site is great. The showers and toilets are very well maintained and are plentiful, didn't have to queue at all. The site is clean, tidy and litter free. The staff were pleasant and helpful, we stayed on for an extra night with no problems. The pitch size is very generous, allowing for our 8 man tent, gazebo and 2 cars, 3 kids and 4 dogs! Our daughter loved the park and the farmyard animals. The site was quiet at night, the odd peacock call or cow mooing could be heard but wasn't a problem. The shop is very well stocked. Corfe Castle is a short walk away as is the Swanage railway where my husband enjoyed the trip on the steam train. We really enjoyed it here and will return next year.

This was our second visit and we stayed at the site for 10 days (our first trip was 3 nights last July).

We had hoped to be in the Main Field but had a great pitch in the Donkey Field - just as good a location on reflection.

This site is a superb base to explore the area. We visited Studland, Lulworth Cove, Wareham, Swanage and many more.

Corfe Castle is an easy walk with children and there are longer walks aplenty from the site. I did one walk to Worth Matravers and on to Swanage that was fabulous.

This site is a working farm so is a bit shabby and random in places, but that is part of the appeal. If you want a polished holiday camp type site go elsewhere.

Staff were efficient (although a washer being out of action for an extended period was a bit of a pain), but some could be a little more proactive and engaging.

Toilet blocks were very good despite it being high season. Lots of hot water and never had to wait for a shower. Always seemed clean and tidy.

Playground is basic, but with all of the farm animals and an atmosphere that makes it easy for children to socialise that's not a fault.

I'm sure we'll return again next summer, may even try and get down again in the Autumn if the weather is decent.

We had a lovely week, but from the previous reviews on here, maybe my expectations were a little too high. It just felt very big and busy with cars, bikes, people moving about all the time. There were plenty of good points too:

Good points:

- location is very good - lots of nice places to go within 10 miles radius

- Lovely countryside and walk to Corfe Castle and village is easy

- Site is relatively flat, grass kept short and good sized pitches

- Toilets, showers and washing up areas all new and plenty of hot water

- didn't have to queue for toilets or showers

- shop is well stocked and open 8-8

- animals were an attraction for children

- quiet from about 10. 30 at night

Downsides

- very big and busy, cars moving around all the time

- toilets and showers were muddy and toilet floor covered in toilet paper ( messy other campers I know!) Didn't see a cleaner at all, they must have only cleaned mid-day.

- when it rained, water ran down the slight slope in the field so the caravans at the end had water running through their awning.

- staff were not particularly friendly.

- it was noisy in the morning, with trucks and cars from 6. 30am.

We were on Pond Field, which was close to the toilet block, but the Top Field for non- EHU had much better views of the surrounding contryside. It is a working farm with lots of animals and has a rustic charm.

It is a lovely area. Never been to Dorset before so lots to see and do. Corfe itself is a picturesque village with a couple of good pubs, a bakery, village shop and newsagents, gift shops. Wareham was the nearest town, we had a great evening hiring a motor boat along the river. Swanage is an attractive seaside town. Nice shops and restaurants, a little fair, crazy golf etc. Lots of seaweed on the beach though, which had been collected up on our second visit, so the strong smell had gone!Studland Bay had lovely white sands but again a lot of seaweed on the beach. Lulworth Cove was very pretty, and the view of Durdle Dor was worth the hard walk up the coast. The tank museum was well worth the money.

Overall, we enjoyed our holiday and a good site but would prefer a smaller campsite as we would find that more relaxing.

We stumbled across Norden after failing to find anywhere in Swanage to camp. How glad we are that we have found this wonderful site.

On arrival the staff in the very well stocked shop were super friendly and helpful. We found our pitch on the Main Field quite quickly - as we were a group of 3 tents we had the most perfect pitch in a corner where we could all pitch in a circle to enclose the kids in!

The site was so peaceful, while setting up we spotted a couple of squirrels playing near our pitches. On an evening there was the odd peacock and donkey call, just added to the whole experience.

My friends little girl absolutely loved the farm animals (as did us older people too!). The goats were hilarious and that became a routine trip on an evening before bed.

Our position on the Main Field, meant that we could use the toilets / showers for the Main Field and Pond Facilities. Always spotlessly clean, and plenty of hot water. Only minor issues was the toilets and showers being separate as little ones wanted the toilet while parents were showering which caused a few issues!

The site is perfect for visiting Swanage, its a short walk to the train station, and we also made it to Studland Beach.

One of our party were virgin campers and we hope we've shown them what campsites should be like by taking them to Norden.

The same party tried to book again in August, but sadly they were fully booked, but we shall definitely be returning to this wonderful campsite.

We stayed in the pond field. We had rain most days and our tent remained dry throughout. We had one day/night with extremely high winds, but the tent remained in tact. Over all we enjoyed a pleasant stay and the other campers seemed pleasant. When we first arrived it was bank holiday weekend and we felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of people in the site - it felt just too busy.

The toilets were in a disgusting state which stayed unpleasant most days, but this was mainly due to other campers lack of personal hygiene! there was a lot of toilet paper on the floor of all toilets and they smelt throughout our stay. Having said that, the toilets were 'cleaned' but I never felt they were thoroughly cleaned.

The shower block was sufficient with hot running water but again other campers tended to leave any basins in a state. The hairdryer provided didn't work. Having said all that, the location of the site was lovely. The walk into Corfe Castle was very pretty and great for children as it's past fields of sheep with great views for miles.

The farm itself was very shabby and the 'farm' areas were smelly. When the bank holiday weekend was over the site emptied out and became more pleasant. I believe at times it was just too busy and the facilities need to be cleaned more often to keep on top of busy periods. I feel the site would benefit from a barrier system so that it can regulate the amount of paid campers it has. Many campers seem to return to this site but we wont purely because it's too big for our needs, and not clean enough in the toilets.

Fantastic well run site. Great walking area. Handy for norden steam railway and corfe castle. If you get chance take the walk that takes you to the castle it has a magic of its own.

Real nice people very helpful site is flat hook ups good toilets and shower clean.

Site can have problems when very wet but staff are on hand to help.

Fantastic site for children who like animals. All sorts from rabbits to rare breads.

Stayed in our campervan for three days with our 4 year old grand daughter. The area is fantastic with Swanage, Corfe Castle, Studland etc. And we had a lovely trip on the steam railway.

We are veteran campers but this is our first visit to this camp site which is very well located with a beautiful backdrop well away from any main road traffic and with good access. It is also extremely large with a number of different fields catering for all different types of camping some more formal with hookups and some less so. All pitches are grass which might be an issue for vehicles if the weather is bad.

We stayed at the busiest time (July) and were lucky with the weather and apart from some negative remarks and mainly because of its location we would recommend it. Certainly to those with children but only out of season to those who enjoy their peace and quiet.

It was noisy in the evenings until late with a small number of campers having little regard for those around them.

Our main gripe is that some owners allowed dogs to roam unleashed and several times we saw them performing without the owners around to clear up the mess, a real issue that should be addressed particularly with so many children about.

Showers and toilets were surprisingly clean with plenty of hot water despite the large number of people having to use the limited number of cubicles (they are also a bit of a walk from where we were pitched in Donkey field).

The site has a relaxed and informal feel and the farm animals add real value for children with peacocks etc. Roaming around although the pens and huts could do with a clean up. Not sure the 'working farm' argument is a good enough reason for their state. There is also a play park which in high season is probably just about adequate in size.

Staff are friendly and the site shop is well stocked. There is also a garden centre and the flowers for sale add a lovely splash of colour as you enter the site. We did not use the restaurant in the adjacent B&B.

We will return but probably at a quieter time.
