Have just got back from a 2 night stop at this site and we had a great time.
The campsite is set behind the main farm which is a working farm.
On arrival we checked in at the very well stocked camp shop and escorted by a quad onto our pitch which was very handy.
Nice grassy pitch which was perfectly level although we could see some pitches that weren't level.
Toilet blocks and showers all very modem and clean and plenty of them (2 blocks)
The site is great if you have kids, a small playground and plenty of animals to keep them amused, our little girl loved the close proximity of the animals, chickens, cows, sheep and much more.
You will arrive to the smell of cow dung but the campsite is free of poo and smell :)
Chemical toilet disposal is located only inthe main toilet block which was a long walk from the top field which was a little annoying.
The site also has a food van selling bacons rolls, burgers, currys etc for breakfast, lunch and evening meals which could be a bonus for the short of time campers, never used it but it looked very popular
Our first night saw some bad wind and rain and the fields/paths were very boggy after so would advise brining some suitable footware/clothing in case as it can get muddy.
The location is perfect, Corfe castle is 2 mins down the round and local beaches in Swanage, Studland are a 5-10 min drive or you can easily cross the toll ferry (3.20 cash) over to Sandbanks, all these beaches are amazing and very clean, most are dog friendly and allow BBQ in certain areas.
Had a great time here and would stay again and recommend this site
Thanks for a great weekend

We booked in here for non-electric as and we were told that we were able to use a generator on the top field. We only wanted to use it for two hours in the early evening and were told that this was fine. All was well for the first week/9 days when we were told that we were not allowed to use it, although others still were until 11 pm, ours was always off by 8pm. My husband has been using this site since he was a nipper and we have used it as a family as well before this visit.
The facilities were excellent though although they were not very clean at the times we used them. The showers were always hot and had good power in them. We used the family room once (it was always busy!) and that was great, it is a walk from the top field although the pond field facilities are plenty near enough.
The surrounding area is the reason that we keep returning to the area. It is great for walking dogs and walking without dogs! There is a lovely pub in Studland that is also a local brewery! Another pub that is great is the Horse and Groom at Wareham - both take dogs. It is worth visiting Corfe Castle and the model village and also the steam train from Norden to Swanage is good and parking in Swanage can be difficult. Durlston Country park in lovely on a good weather day. It you go to Durdle door be careful of the steps down to it - I would recommend the non-door side if you have kids and dogs.
Lulworth is a lovely village and a nice beach. Tyneham village which is under MOD control now is also nice and there is an honesty box in the car park and £3 all day parking - the beach is nice there as well. This is not always open though due to the MOD/Army training ground as it is located in the middle! We also went across on the studland/Sandbankc car ferry which is an experience (not bad either!) Portland is nice although getting through Weymouth at the moment is a problem due to the 2012 Olympics but worth battling through. Lovely views of Chesil Beach from the view points and also to see 'Bill'.

We have just returned from a week at Norden Farm Campsite. We had 3 children under 9 in our group and we thought it was a fantastic campsite. We never had a to queue for the showers at all. The shop is extremely well stocked with everything you need for camping as well as a good array of local produce and free range eggs. The prices are really reasonable too which is encouraging with a captive market. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The washing up facilities in the new block were experiencing problems with the hot water supply while we were there but I'm sure this is something that will be sorted out and was simply a teething problem. The main block was very good.
There is a kids play park which is just outside the main facilities block. It is quite close to the main access road so small children should be supervised - but you would expect them to be anyway.
The kids loved being able to seeing all the animals and you really do benefit from being on a working farm. The sites are generous and there is lots of space for the children to play.
You can go for a meal or tea at Norden Hall guesthouse which is at the front of the property. We didn't on this occasion but it is something to bear in mind. Monkey World is lovely and close by and we went there on the one rainy day while we were there. It is also close by to the Tank Museum. Corfe Castle is within walking distance and you see it as you drive up to the campsite entrance. It is very close to Swanage and many other good beaches. We went on a day trip to Charmouth beach near Lyme Regis for fossil hunting - about an hour by car.
We thought this was a very well run, family friendly, fun campsite and we would certainly recommend it.

Just returned from my first camping trip, booked just a few days in advance and was lucky to get what must have been one of the last electric hookup pitches as they were almost fully booked.
We were pitched in the 'Pond Field' just a short walk from the facilities, which were excellent. 7 or 8 shower cubicles with free showers (push button), 6 sinks (4 of which were in their own cubicles) - think the women's were the same. 1 hair dryer was available - free to use. Washing up area had 5 or 6 sinks with free hot water - pressure a little low when busy though.
I made a point of getting up at 6.30am to avoid the shower rush-hour so never had to queue.
There was another facilities block in the first field but never visited these so I'm assuming they were identical - with the addition of laundry room.
Eveything was generally kept clean - as others have mentioned it's all down to who is using them.
The pitches are of a good size with space for a car and large tent. They also drained fairly quickly after the rain once the sun and wind did their thing.
There is a small playground next to the facilities in the first field which was in constant use - my son tried to use it but it was always too full.
Take water/mud proof footwear for the walk to the site shop as you have to walk through the farmyard and it got a bit muddy after heavy rain overnight - dried up in a couple of days sunshine though. If you have a weak stomach the smells in the yard could be a bit overpowering - my son always held his nose while going through. No smells reached the fields though so not a big issue.
There is a fishing pond in the Pond field which we took a look at on our first evening - there was at least one large carp in there! Didn't see anyone fishing so don't know how well it is stocked. The pond was fenced off but not gated - I would personally gate it to stop small children wandering in. More of an issue in the dark as it is by the toilet entrances so small children need to be supervised.
A great first camping trip, made easier by the good facilities and electric hookup.
The weather let us down on our last day so had to pack up in heavy rain - not pleasant!
I liked the park rule about people (especially children) having right of way on site (10mph limit) and vehicles always stopped to let people by so I wasn't too worried about my son going off on his own (which in itself was a testament to how safe you felt on site as he normally wouldn't go off by himself)
Spent most evenings eating out in Swanage which was a lovely place and not too far away - can't comment on the more local eateries but other campers said they were good.
Overall it is a great camp site and will definitely return. Wish the site shop opened a little earlier though :)

Our first visit to this particular site, but we're very familiar with the area around Corfe Castle, which is beautiful.
Similar comments to other reviewers: the new toilet/shower block was good but very poor hot water in the washing up area; just a trickle mostly. Thankfully this didn't affect the showers; they were lovely and hot with good pressure. A very long walk though if you're in the top field. Pitch sizes are very large with plenty of space between for children to run and play cricket without disturbing fellow campers.
The first weekend of August and this site was fully booked but it never felt overcrowded and we never had to wait for toilets or showers to become free.
A lovely idea to be on a working farm, which did look pretty tired in places, but the children loved seeing all the newborn calves and the pets corner. It was nice to see that their main business was farming, not the camping.
If you're feeling energetic, a walk along the Purbeck Way into Swanage is a must - allow a good couple of hours - with the steam ride home again for those who can't manage another 7 miler! Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door with the walk between the two is another great day out and Monkey World about 10 miles away. We got the ferry across to Sandbanks and spent a few hours on the beach lazing around.
We would certainly come back to Norden Farm - and it's useful being able to book ahead, unlike some campsites in the area which operate a turn up and find out option - not a good idea with childrne and dogs in tow!

First visit to this site although we have stayed in many in the area. It was a very busy weekend being the last weekend of the carnival week. It was very busy full to the brim and unfortunately the facilities were not enough for this amount of people.
Quite often a queue for the loo and long queues for the showers. However it is in a nice setting with some nice views but can get very windy. I wouldn't mind visiting again but not in high season.

Wow what a brilliant campsite! we arrived july 24th to the smell of cow dung on a red hot day. Set up camp, and headed out to corf. Every where we went was fab, poole, swanage, shellbay, knoll beach.
The campsite itself is in a really good position, for everything. It is lovely and clean the toilets and showers and a great family room for those like myself with small children.
The shop is well stocked, and the staff are nice and helpful would go back tomorrow, only they are booked up for the season. A must for next year though, kids loved it and so did the grown ups.

Just returned from Norden farm - our second time this year at this site. A large but traditional farm campsite with lots of animals about and accessible although this is a working farm with vehicle movements etc.
Toilet blocks are good with a second block new this year. The other block is modern and well kept. The site was very busy but the facilities and cleaning regime coped despite sometimes the worst efforts of some campers as always.
Pitches are all flat and grass. The grass has stood up well in this virtual desert climate this year.
A shop is on site together with restaurant, takeaway, garden centre, pets corner etc. All with a rustic charm!
Fishing lake/pond also available at no charge.
Excellent location with good access to walking and just outside Corfe Castle. Steam train runs regularly into swanage.
We ate out at the Greyhound in Corfe which was good and the Castle inn in Corfe which was not!

We stayed in a small group in the Top Field where there are no set pitches.
The site is excellent with lots of farm animals to see for the kids and is only a short picturesque walk into Corfe. The toilet blocks were clean and though the site was full of families, all was quiet by 10:30pm'ish. The on site B&B now does evening meals incl take aways which though not cheap were very tasty.
The only thing to be aware of is, when staying in Top Field, due to the site being in a small valley, the wind can howl across the field so you will need to make sure tents, awnings etc, are well pegged down as we saw a number of guy ropes blowing in the wind with pegs nowhere to be seen !

This is a great site, we stayed for 9 nights with 2 young children in a caravan with EHU. From previous reviews I was a little concerned over what to expect however was surprised by the size of the farm and its facilities. This is a working farm and this was the appeal for us as a family with small kids, they loved seeing a new born calf taking its first steps and seeing all the other animals, tractors and real farm life - smells and all!
The staff were all friendly and you have to remember that camping isnt there only income, they work the farm so are busy all the time.
There is a new shower block and toilets opened up in the top two fields, yes the ratio of toilets / showers to people isn't great at peak times but stagger when you go, always plenty of hot water and clean. These two top fields seemed to be used by mainly tenters.
We were in the Main field next to Donkey Field which was a good location, just far enough away from the play park and main farm buildings but not in with the tents that were sometimes a bit loud at night.
The first block of showers/facilities had a family room with a bath which was great as my youngest can't stand showers and screams the place down so was great to have a room where we could all shower/bath together at the same time, the room also has a toilet and hand basin and a large worktop if you need to change a baby.
A newly refurbed wooden play area was great, toddlers loved it as well as older children, it is immediately in front of the washing up facilities so you can wash up whilst the kids play.
There is a fishing area up behind the upper field facilities block which is slightly fenced off but I warned mine not to go near there and all was fine. The farm shop sells everything and at reasonable prices too.
Excellent location, we visited near by Corfe Castle, Swanage Steam train from Norden (mins up the road), Monkey World, Bovington Tank Mueseum, fossil exploring in near by bays, crabbing on the beach, Poole harbour and shops are accessible via a toll ferry from Studland(much quicker and more fun and £1 return each adult on foot), Brownsea Island, Lulworth Cove, Kimmerage Bay (great cafe there lovely food), beautiful beaches at Studland (watch out one of the three is a nudist beach!), Bridport/West Bay, Lyme Regis - there is soooooo much to do and see here.
Pub just up the road called the 'Half Way House' great value for money and lovely food.
Norden House looked nice, didn't actually eat there ourselves but they offer a take a away service too.
Overall a great find, ignore the negative reviews and see for yourself!
