This was our first family camping trip and and very enjoyable too. The location of the site was excellent affording a spectacular view of Corfe Castle as you turn up the drive to the farm. As I have no previous experience of campsites it is difficult to make a comparison but I found the well stocked shop a godsend and new shower block very good with plenty of hot water. These are located nearer to the caravan part , but the camping area has its own set of loos and washing up area which are adequate. The camping field itself seemed very large with plenty of space and great views of woodland and hills.
Its a working farm so expect to see the cows march past at 7pm each night, and a few sheep in the fields as well. Norden rail station is a short walk away for a steam train ride to Swanage, but we found it more enjoyable to take the 20 min walk to Corfe via a bridleway and get the train from there (thus avoiding the busy road).
The only downside is the on site restaurant, the woman running it was rather rude and seemed to be quite stressed even tho the place was virtually empty, tho the young waitress was more level headed. The other staff in the shop and campsite were very agreeable. We were quite a large party and hope to do it all again next year. All very Nuts in May!

Had a good 3 nights here with 2 friends and associated children. Went up to the top field which although breezy was nice and spacious and well away from the smells of the cow barns!  The shop was open 8 to8 and the new shower block was amazing.my eldest couldn't beleive it.'look they've got hooks for the towels, and a shelf for the shampoo'!
Plenty of space up the top for football and cricket despite a sign at the entrance saying FULL but the lower fields with the hook-ups were more crowded and had everyone else driving past. Very handy for Corfe Castle which we walked to and Swanage which is accessible via a steam train and Studland.  The farmer did occasional tours of duty on an ancient quad with his collie next to him and generally left people to enjoy themselves, no hassle to pack up all our stuff by 10.30am like I've had at some places.  Children want to go back and I may well return next year.

I have visited Norden farm Campsite frequently over the past 3 or 4 years and have always found a warm and friendly welcome there. It is an unspoilt  working farm with plenty to see and do both on the campsite and in the surrounding area .

This year I was privileged to use the the brand-new state of the art Shower and toilet block. Having travelled world wide I can say that  you would be hard pressed to find better facilities on any campsite anywhere. Or even in some Hotels !

The  attraction of  Norden Farm that makes people return time and time again is that it so very laid back. They are dog friendly; the owners always have time for a chat there are no regimented pitches but they will always try to fit you in;  even in peak periods although I would suggest a Telephone call first to check availability of pitches now that      " The secret is out ! "

I think that Norden farm equals and in many cases "betters " some of the sites in Dorset & the New Forest.  It will do for me whenever I am camping in the South of England.  TFD.

Spent six nights here. Nice quiet site, it is a working farm, lots of animals which is great for the kids to see. The toilet block is brand new and nearly finished it is built to a very high standard, the showers are great. Lots of space here and it is a great base for exploring the isle of Purbeck. Nice walks into Corfe. Studland beach is not far but is seven pounds to park. We recommend this site for anyone visiting Dorset. Dont forget the fly spray.

I met my friend and her two young children here at the start of the school holidays-we camped in 'top field' and had no problems pitching next to each other. Fantastic location for an old-fashioned family camping holiday, woken by the sound of sheep in the morning (not too early!), lovely family atmosphere in the site, pets corner with pigs geese rabbits goats etc, friendly staff including the farm workers, good shop selling everything from lardy cake & croissants to fishing nets-all good value.

We found plenty to do without ever driving more than 5-6 miles, and sometimes not at all (site right next to Norden Train Station-steam trains to Corfe & Swanage).

New loo/shower block open next to reception, clean, modern and efficient. This will be a regular stop for us in future.

The campsite now has brand new showers and toilets which are as good as any I have seen.

The owners remains  friendly and accommodating as always.

The site is close to the Swanage Steam Railway Park and Ride which is very handy.

There is a shop on site that has most of what you might need.

I have stayed at Norden Farm many times over the last 5 years. It is a firm favourite for location, space and the farm ambience. I also think that the on-site shop is a great - there is nothing you cannot buy in it!

But, this weekend (14-16th July 2006) we used the brand new shower and toilet block. It is to a very high standard and immaculate.

MY FIRST TIME CAMPING!  We found this site by chance!  From leaving too late from home, then finding most sites full up when we got there! I believe one of the campsites we tried recommended Norden Farm.

As this was my first expedition I was both thrilled and yet worried we were going to have to pitch the tent in the nearest lay by, should we not find a place stay!

But hurrah for Norden Farm, who welcomed us with open arms and a huge open field, it was fantastic!

The showers were'nt much to sing about let alone in, but I welcomed being able to get clean, even if the shower was lukewarm, so get to them early.

The toilets (only 3) were bearable but take into consideration that I have OCD when it comes to toilets!

I think what was nice about Norden was that it was on a working farm and you could pitch where you wanted, and also they had a large campfire there.

It was great for the kids to see the animals, and to have loads of space to runaround!  There is a large hill that you can climb, once you've managed to steer pass the sheep and goats, and what a view when you get to the top, amazing!  I for one would definitely go there again! Oh and I nearly forgot to mention its a cheap stay!

This is a very friendly site with handy shop, Pets Corner and best of all a brand new shower / toilet block. It is just across the road from The Park and Ride stop for Swanage Railway.  So you can get a train to Swanage really easily. There is really good play area there too for the children.

We came across this site On a Saturday afternoon in July after returning from a week on The isle of Wight. It was getting late and we were getting desperate so we paid for 3 nights, grateful they could take us .

I agree with most of the other reviews about this site, great location and setting, spacious old fashioned camping, good shop and friendly people.

The main thing letting this site down are the dirty old fashioned toilet and showers. I am not generally too fussy but even my kids refused to shower. They did not seem to be cleaned for the 3 days we stayed there. If the toilets were upgraded then this site would be fantastic
