We have recently returned from our first visit here.
There seem to be two blocks of showers and we only used those on the main field so I can not comment on the others. There were 3 (or 4?) showers for men and women and a few unisex. The water was very hot, in fact I found it tricky to get the temperature cool enough. There is plenty of space in the shower to dry and put clothes. There is also a family room with a loo, shower and half size bath. The loos and showers were usually clean.
There are 4 dishwashing sinks and they overlook the play area which was handy for keeping our daughter entertained while we washed up.
There is a shop on site but we did not use it.
The pitches were plenty large enough and we were shown to ours. There can be a long reach to the EHU points but this is pointed out in the booking form. We needed our 25m lead!
Norden station on the Swanage railway is about 10-15 minutes walk away and there are steam/diesel trains to Corfe Castle and swanage.
The only downside we found was the number of dogs allowed to roam off leads. Some were clearly the farm dogs and to be fair they were no bother, but some belonging to campers seemed to be a little less well behaved. This was an issue for us as we have a child who is nervous around dogs and is something to bear in mind.

This was my second visit to Norden Farm and although I still feel this is a very nice site there were a couple of 'niggles' this time.
Last year I arrived without a booking in mid June, was quickly dealt with at reception, paid the going rate and told to go off and choose any available pitch.
This year (April) I booked two days in advance and was charged an administration fee of £1. 00 even though there was no time to send me any paperwork. They also insisted on a £20. 00 deposit even though the tariff for the whole two days only came to £13. 00, the overpayment to be refunded on arrival. A rather unusual, time consuming and expensive way to do business I would have thought.
The website for this campsite clearly displays the tariffs for different sizes of tent i. E the 'man' size. Since my tent is an Outwell Carolina 3 I told them mine was a 3 man tent and was charged accordingly. However, since I didn't want them to think it was a little hiking dome and put me on a tiny pitch I also advised them of the tent's dimensions, which are not huge by any standards. It was with some disappointment therefore that on arrival I was told I was going to be charged for a 4 man tent due to it's size. It seems in this case honesty didn't pay and the size wouldn't have made any difference on the allocated pitch anyway!
Even though this was just £1. 50 a night extra, perhaps it should be made clear on the website that the tariff will be at the discretion of the management in relation to the tent's measurements rather than the number of berths, and charged accurately at the time of booking and not added on upon arrival when the customer is tired after a long journey and more likely to be irritated by that.
The booking in at reception seemed quite time consuming made even more uncomfortable by being part of the shop counter where people were trying to get served with groceries.
Apart from the above irritating little problems I encountered on this occasion I still feel the site is one of the best in the area. The tariff is fair with an age concession during low season.
At the time of my visit pitches were showing some winter wear but groundsmen were working on them and I am sure they will be back to their usual standard once the holiday season gets fully underway.
The facilities are still very good as others have described and the owners and staff do work hard to achieve good standards and are very cheerful and helpful in all respects.
I would highly recommend this site.

We stayed for 2nd time this year at Norden Farm it was fantastic the sites are very good and showers and other facilities are the best. We would like to live on the site if it was allowed its that good.
The shop has got a good variety of goods and the staff are very helpful.
We will be back next year depending on our health for as long as we can get.
I forgot to mention it even has a doggy parlour to bath them along with a doggy walk

First visit to this site at end of September as good weather was predicted and had second week of holiday free as Lake District was a wash-out the previous week.
Very good facilities and clearly one where the owners have re-invested with a new WC / Shower/ Washing Up block in Pond Field. The showers were hot and free of charge.
6 Washing up sinks with copious amounts of very hot water at any time of day - so 5 out of 5 for that. The same facilities are duplicated in the main field - there was never a queue for anything during out stay.
Well stocked shop and not silly prices - we took most of our provisions with us - pasta / sauces / tuna, rice. Milk is from local Dorset farm and even green-top 'semi' tasted as good as full fat Tesco version. Admittedly a pint was 70p but I was on holiday and don't grudge the price.
Main Field was closed but on Thursday sheep were removed and part of field opened on Friday for a sudden rush of visitors due to the good weather. Spend 4 days at Studland Beach and the sea was comfortable rather than freezing extremities off.
We did not use the on-site catering as the weather was so good we stayed in Swanage for fish and chips (The Fish Plaice) which were excellent.
As darkness fell around 7. 30pm noise was not a problem after 10. 00pm. Early in morning the traffic from nearby road could be heard but not a deal breaker.
Without doubt we will be back as it was good value for money and good facilities.

My first weekend under canvas in 20 years and luckily I made a good choice in Norden Farm.
The location is great; an easy drive to Wantage or Wareham. Plenty to do in the area. I visited Tyneham (very interesting abandoned village site) while I was there because the firing ranges were closed.
The site was busy, with vans and tents. Pitching was wherever you could find a spot. The site had everything I needed.
Good shop to supply the things you'd forgotten.
Hot food van when you don't want to cook. You could also eat at the B&B if you wanted.
Lovely clean toilets (and showers).
Good walks from the tent field to take the dog out.
Easy ground to get the tent pegs into.
If you end up at the far end of the tent field it's a long walk to the Loo. I will happily go there again, but I'll try to pitch a bit closer to the facilities next time.
One small drawback was a motorbike race (I was warned about this when I booked) which was a bit noisy in setting up on the Saturday and encouraged me to leave early on the Sunday because the bikes would have been racing very close to my pitch.

We stayed here for our main Summer holiday this year, deciding to try a region that we had don't normally visit.
The site is a large site, but (fortunately) not too regimented, on a working farm and offers pleasant scenery, extremely impressive washing / showering / toilet facilities, large laundry facilities, a nice site shop that is well stocked selling good local produce & with a very handy chilled drinks section (very welcome after a day out when you need a cold Cider immediately upon your return!).
There is an 'open farm' area within the site where Children can visit the farm animals which was really quite nice.
The site is situated between Wareham & the seaside resort of Swanage, both places well worth a visit. Wareham has a good museum (with free entry), some nice antique/collectors' shops and a very nice Italian restaurant. Swanage is a lovely seaside town with a lovely (busy) beach and a bustling town centre.
The Swanage Railway is worth a visit, with a nice station at Corfe Castle village.
We visited the remains of Corfe Castle, which, beautiful as it was, the family entrance fee was fairly steep, considering there was not much else to see once inside that you couldn't already see from looking up at it from the outside.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this holiday was visiting places like Lulworth Cove & Jacksons Pool hunting for fossils!
Oh, and make sure that you have a good wedge of money to pay for car parking wherever you go, the parking charges wherever we went were quite extortionate!

This site is unusual in Purbeck in that you can book in advance in peak season, even if you are only staying a couple of nights. We normally avoid sites with hook-up and caravans, preferring a large rough field with basic facilities, but we were really pleased with the way that this site worked.
When we got there it was very busy, but the tent field is a pitch-where-you-like set up and we still found plenty of space to put up the tent and have seating and playing space. The field is beautifully flat, but surrounded by hills, and we even saw deer running through the neighbouring sheep field.
Even though it was so busy the facilities coped admirably, speaking of a lot of hard work behind the scenes on the part of the owners.
The showers were the best I have found on any campsite and there was hardly any wait for toilets, showers or washing up facilities even at peak times. The shop stocked a good range of essentials, and their freezer block service worked well, although it seemed a bit expensive at 25p per block per freeze.
We will certainly return to this site next time we are in the area.

As it was summer holidays the site was very busy, infact I saw a sign that said they we're fully booked.
The site has 3 fields (4 including the over flow field where we were sited which has no EHU points). 2 toilet/shower blocks (one in the main field near the reception and another in the pond field. )
A laundry, 2 washing up areas, chemical disposal point, plenty of drinking water points, a pooch parlour (doggy shower), play park with basic equipment which seemed to be popular with the children on site, fishing pond, shop (which sales everything including sweets, meat, camping equipment, pet supplies, toys, souvenirs, etc), garden centre, pets corner, food van which does breakfasts and hot drinks from 0730 and opens again in the evening for food.
Also as its a working farm there's the usual cows, sheep, pigs chickens, etc as well as donkeys and I believe I saw some deer in the field.
The toilets and showers were reasonably clean except for some wet muddy footprints left in the cubicles but it is a farm and it was quite wet over the weekend (the area had flooding the night before we arrived) so that's probably to be expected.
The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Although the site was full there was no or very little queues to use the facilities that I saw (though I did see about 10 people queuing to wash up in the rain on Sunday morning.
As I said the play area was basic but seemed very popular with the children.
The pets corner with the pigs, goats, ducks, turkeys and peacock/peahens was nice, popular with the kids and the animals were obviously well cared for (There is a sign out that says pretty much that they're not a tourist attraction but feel free to look just don't expect it to be the standard of a commercial pets corner).
The pooch parlour looked nice but my two were too scared to use it. But it is a very nice idea to have one on site.
Site is next door to Corfe castle, and up the road from model village, some nice pubs (the greyhound has great views of the castle and does lovely food), steam railway, animal sanctuary, etc. Also close by (by car) is Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth, Swanage, Blandford, Wareham also monkey world and the tank museum.
Good value for money. You pay separate for tent, people and extras such as gazebo, awning, boat etc
Sleep quality was ok, the site has an 11pm curfew on noise and this was pretty much kept to by most.
One note, take a good torch, as night falls the fields are pitch black and navigating the road to the toilet and showers ready for bed can be a little tricky, as of course with it being a field in a farm there are the odd pot hole and patch of mud to contend with.

First impressions of this site were good. There is a cute pets area for the children and a lovely playground. The Farm shop is excellent and sells everything you could need. Staff were helpful and we were able to borrow an extension for our electric hook up when we found it was too far away.
The toilet/shower blocks were clean but we did find that there were simply not enough units for the amount of people on the site which led to huge queues for everything and delayed our going out every day.
The addition of a 'snack van' for breakfast and tea was lovely and very helpful, especially on the days of setting up and taking down.
My major issue with this site was the sheer amount of noise we experienced. Obviously we went in high season so it was ridiculously busy but we did find there was no enforced 'curfew' on noisy times so people were shouting and being excessively noisy up to 1am on some nights. As a family site this surprised me and we found our children were very upset by all the late night noise. Cars were also allowed to drive around at any time so we were often woken up at 5am by early starters.
I can imagine that this is a lovely site out of high season but I would not return when it was so busy again.

This was our first visit to Norden Farm and we had a really great 5 days there during the school holidays.
The pitches were very spacious (we were in the main field) and the facilities clean and well kept.
I particularly liked the provision of not just male and female showers but also unisex which was handy for parents washing their children 'tag team' fashion.
The family wash rooms with both showers and a bath for babies were a nice touch too. Our children both loved the animals and the staff were very helpful.
The site quietened down by about 10. 30 and was very relaxing and child orientated which was what we were looking for.
The other campers we met were a friendly bunch and we hope to see them again soon!
