The pitch was not quite level and the aromas were from a farm. That's it for the complaints.
The service was friendly, when I was unwell Cindy came and enquired how I was getting on. Advice was offered about local doctors and the cottage hospital. The shop is well stocked, even Immodium was available, you get the picture here.
When my 250V lead was 2 metres short a spare could be borrowed with deposit.
You can walk to Corfe Castle avoiding the road and a local pub is within walking distance for the more energetic.
The main toilet block was superb and very ecologically sound with auto operation of lights and ventilation. (Yes I used it a lot.)
It would be a long walk from the some of the tent pitches to that block, but another more basic is available.
This site makes a good touring centre, and for more serious shopping Wareham is just a short drive away.

Arrived without booking - no problem staff very obliging, only £14.00 per night for a large tent, two adults and EHU. This is a deceptively large site but split into self contained sections separated by lines of trees so it seems quite cosy. Despite its size the owners manage to preserve a really wonderful family run feel to the place. Our pitch was generous and we had no trouble fitting an Outwell Monatna 6 with front canopy and a Saab 9-5 estate side by side with plenty of room to spare.
The site is well situated about a mile from Corfe Castle and Corfe village. Slightly further afield are Wareham in one direction and Swanage in the other, both are less than a ten minute drive. You're also well positioned for Poole, Weymouth, Lulworth, Portland, the Tank museum at Bovington and the fascinating Monkey World Ape Rescue centre (deservedly labelled as 'Dorset's best day out'). Couple these with the stunning Jurassic Coast, an ample supply of decent pubs and some very lovely countryside, and you wont find it difficult to have a great break using this site as a base.
The facilities in our part of the site (didn't really bother to check elsewhere) were good with a large modern toilet / shower / laundry / washing up block, which, at least on the occasions I used it, remained queue free, so it is clearly adequate for the population of the site even during peak season. This block was also kept clean throughout our stay. There was an unfortunate mains water fault near to the site while we were there which affected the supply of cold water temporarily, but this was thankfully rectified within a few hours and didn't cause too much hardship. Rubbish and recycling facilities were dotted around the site and serviced regularly so there were never piles of excess trash surrounding them (wish I could say the same for my local recycling centre). Water stations were equally well distributed. The site shop was well stocked with all the usual necessities and had useful opening hours.
Our information pack contained a set of sensible rules which I would have thought perfectly acceptable to any reasonable camper (the usual noise warnings at night, speed limits, etc).
Norden is a working farm and it was very pleasant to be woken each morning by nursing cattle in a shed fairly near our pitch. The accompanying smell was a small price to pay. For those with kids this is in itself good reason to stay at Norden particularly if like us you are city dwellers.
All in all we liked this site a lot and as regular visitors to Monkey World we will be returning to camp here.

We arrived late and easily found someone to show us where to pitch.
The owners and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Site is on a working farm, so be prepared for country smells and animal noises early in the morning. This just made the stay much more interesting. Plenty of animals (of all kinds) for the children to see and the farmer happily let the children stoke and feed the baby ones.
Pitch was plenty large enough. The site is over 4 large fields with many campers. On peak periods this would cause problems in the wash facilities as they were not large enough to cater for so many people and large cues would form as early as 7.30am, the showers too were a little weak, but warm and did the job. We stayed a week before the local children began their summer holidays and so only had problems for the last two days of our stay (when things got really busy), however our Daughter (6 years) had a great time and was never short of friends.
The children's play area was a little old and tired, they didn't seem to mind and would meet there and happily make their own games up.
Dishwashing, washers, driers and ironing facilities were excellent an the best part for me was a special Dog Parlour where I could wash the dog in a warm shower before bringing him home.
Water and rubbish points were handy and the site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.
Nearest supermarket - Cost cutter was some drive away.
A fantastic walk to Corfe Castle through countryside and woods where there were a few pubs and gift shops.
Local beaches are beautiful and we visited many, could not fault them.
Price was excellent just £16 per night in July for campervan, awning, electric, 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog.
We had a great time and would go back, not at local peak times though.

Having just returned from Norden Farm where we stayed for 3 nights, firstly, the people who run the site are very friendly and helpful, the shop is very well stocked and very resonable prices, had to buy a new blow up bed and it was well cheaper than I could get it in Swanage.
Secondly we stayed in the top field where you could pitch where you wanted, grass was very long, but if you didn't mind it was ok, the pitches were mostly flat, a few areas were on a slight tilt. The wash room was very old and in much need of an update, hot water seemed to run out quite frequently, but if you wanted to walk to the new block, hot water a plenty.
Lastly, the new shower block, whilst as previously mentioned was very good, you have to remember this is the only block, and it has to deal with 4 big fields, so get up early if you don't want to wait.
All in all a good site if you want to chill or to explore the wonderful countryside, remember to catch the steam train into Swanage nice experience.

We stayed at the site last week for 2 night. The weather was great a little windy but sunny and very nice and warm. The area is fantastic, Corfe castle is a must and the village is lovely too. Everyone in the village is very friendly and the great thing is they love dogs in most of the shops.
The site itself is fine it has 3 fields, a little pricey for camping at £15.00 per night for 2 adults and 2 children. The facilities in field 3 where most of the camping takes place are poor. You have a toilet block with occasional hot running water and no showers. There is also a washing up section to do your dishes and this has constant hot water.Go figure that one out? This all needs updating and showers added to it and it will be a good site. The site does have showers and a family bath area but it is through 3 fields at the entrance where most of the caravans are who don't need it, so in the rain this would be a real pain for people camping, you go shower then trundle all the way back getting dirty again.
We would go back again when the facilities in the top field have been updated. The shop on-site is rather expensive a 1 litre bottle of water costing £1.25 for instance is over the top in our opinion along with 90p for 2 bread rolls. Anyway we don't want to be negative just tell it as we found it.
While we were there we also visited Swanage a very nice town with a great beach as well. If you visit Swanage have plenty of change for parking, the car park works out over 3 pounds for 2 hours. The steam train is fantastic and well worht going on but again very pricey. From Corfe to Swanage 2 stops for 4 of us return was £23.00 I would suggest if your planning to use it go to the website and see if they have any deals on for the summer. I know I have gone on a bit about money but this is important Camping is supposed to be a budget way of getting away and with all the increases in camping fees taking place it is in danger of losing that appeal.
Hope this has been useful.

Choose here due to the good reviews. We went for 5 nights and had a great time. Unfortunately the weather was against us and it rained almost the entire time we were there.(not the sites fault)
Stayed in the top field which has long grass and no particular layout for pitching. The toilet block in this field is rather old but functionable. The new block further down is the best I've ever come across. Free hot showers and no time limit.
The shop sells everything including tent spares and accessories, also have ice blocks on hire for your cool boxes reasonable at 25p each.
The owners were very helpful and willing to give reccomendations for the local area. Places to go etc.
If your looking for entertainment and club houses this is not the place for you, however I cant reccomend it highly enough if your wanting fantastic views, peace and quite and to just chill out.
Very good rates. Cant wait to return.

We visited this site last summer on what turned out to be one of the hottest weeks of the year, lucky us! We were in the 'top' field and found it to be spacious and quiet. The site in general was lovely, not as 'polished' as some but it is a working farm so its to be expected. The toilet facilities in the 'main' area were modern and clean. The ones near to our tent were in need of updating but this didn't spoil our experience. There was some nice walks up to the hills which we enjoyed. In nearby corfe we went to a murder mystery night which was much fun. The shop on site stocked very tasty bacon and free range eggs. Perfect to wake up to each morning. Would definitely visit again. Recommended.

We absolutely loved this campsite, We arrived the end of June and were told we could pitch up anywhere, we chose a great spot at the far end of the last field, next to the cow field, the dogs were able to run around and there were a number of footpaths leading off from the field. The toilet block was always clean with an added bonus of a doggie shower.
The campsite is in a great location next to corfe castle, which you can see from their tea room garden also lovely!
The campsite is on a working farm and when we visited there were calves and lambs and also a small petting area with rabbits etc. Which is great for children. We will definitely be returning again soon!

Easily the best site we have stayed on yet!
We were located in the main field with EHU. The pitch lengths are marked up on the fence with posts being painted white. A cracking idea. Most EHU points are located around the edge of the field, with a double row of tin tents down the middle. This left loads of room to play for the kids and several large games of football and rounders type cricket (??) took place over the five days.
All the facilities are good, although the modern block wins hands down as the best facility in any campsite. As already mentioned the staff take great pride in the site and everything is always clean and tidy. The older block could do with a visit from the handyman to replace failed washers in the taps, but although clearly a much older building was still on a par with the best services on most other sites.
We had a lot of rain during the stay and some pitches down the left hand side of the field did quickly become boggy.
The laundry room was well equiped and the tokens were not over expensive. Detailed instructions for each machine are posted clearly on the wall above.
The kids found the animals very interesting, as did we waiting for the cows to be taken back to the fields after milking while visiting other UKCS members in another field.
I did like the signs on the main drive stating 'This is a working farm, animals and children have priority.'
Friendly helpful staff, stunning scenery, brilliant shop = Happy wife and kids = pain free camping! We will be frequent visitors from now on!

Great site with plenty of space and a really good ablutions block - yes there are often farm smells, but it is after all a proper working farm so this is to be expected. We were in the Donkey Field (nice and flat and although wet was not waterlogged) and only a 1 minute walk from the block which was clean every time we visited it (except for the floors - but as it rained the whole time we were there, it would have been unrealistic to expect the floors to stay totally clean!).
The showers were spacious with plenty of hot water and I particularly liked the idea of having womens, mens and unisex sections. I didn't visit the shop personally, but hubby reports that it had a good selection of food and camping items. I would definitely stay here again as despite the rain we had a wonderful time.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is plenty to do. There are lots of nice pubs in Corfe Castle village centre, Swanage is only a short drive away, or you can take the steam train from Norden Park and Ride - a 5 minute walk from the campsite entrance. We had originally planned on walking to Corfe Castle in the evenings to visit the pub but to be honest the road into the village didn't look like a good one to walk along in the dark, as it was a main road with pretty fast traffic (ok the weather might have had something to do with that too!).
If it rains (like it did this weekend) then I reccommend Bovington Tank Museum for an indoors day out. Its about 15 minutes drive from the site and we spent several hours wandering around looking at all the exhibits - well worth the £11 entrance fee. Its undergoing refurbishment at the moment so it will be even more impressive when that's finished.
