We stayed here for our annual New Year Break and had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
The site seems fairly new, as the surrounding hedges are still young and growing, but the site is nicely laid out with good security as there is a height barrier locked at night.
We had a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the owners who live on the site itself, and are always on hand to deal with any problems.
The toilet and shower block is brand new, warm, plenty of hot water, and good laundry and washing up facilities.
The site has a road through it, making it easy to get to your pitches, which are all flat. The only issue is the actual design of the pitches which just do not work
The pitch is wide at the back and narrow at the front. The idea is you park your car in front of your unit, rather than at the side. This just doesn't work as the width of the pitch at the front is narrower than the width of your van, meaning you end up ploughing up the grass in wet weather, but then the worse thing is that every time you get in or out of your vehicle you step onto mud and then paddle it through your van, which I got quite cheesed off over. I booked a hardstanding to save all that, so to then have to constantly paddle through thick mud in the winter defeated the object. The pitches really need re-designing to make them the same width, as there is really no point in having them narrower at the front, I just didn't understand that at all!
However, that apart, I would go back to this site as the owners are great, the location is handy and its easy to get to.
If it had the pitches redesigned id give this a 10 out of 10.

Stayed here in the Autumn so quite chilly.
Shower block really clean, warm and plenty of hot water with no queues. Block also contained a laundry/washing up room. Not much for kids to do on site. The site was a also a little exposed as surrounded by a hedge but nothing between pitches. At the time of year we visited it was a bit bleak, but we were there to see son at University. Handy for New forest and Solent and also useful for overnight stops for cross-channel etc.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this quiet and very well maintained site.
The toilet and shower blocks are immaculate, with plenty of hot water. All the site is level, with hard standing pitches available.
There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away with buses every 20 minutes to and from Southampton or Hamble on weekdays until the evening. Saturdays and Sundays are every hour.
In the reception area basic food items, such as UHT milk, bread and eggs were available, even out of season.
We were shown to our pitch and made very welcome on arrival.
We can thoroughly recommend this site for visitors to Southampton and the area.

We arrived later on in the day and found the wardens very helpful and friendly. The setting was a marked out field area, quite level with a dog walk to the rear of the campsite. Some hard standing and some grass pitches.
The site was tidy and the toilets very clean, good showers, warm which was good as the weather wasn't the best and had rained heavily for a few days.
They had a number of chickens running around which felt home from home! Although they take dogs obviously they like to ensure they are kept on leads, but a dog area is available where they can run free.
Facilities for children as far as I could see were limited, so if your child free and enjoy a quiet site then this one is for you.
Again not that we used the local pub, the warden told us of a local pub down the road that would allow dogs in.
There is a bus service not far but we chose to travel into Portsmouth and Southampton. We found a carpark that didn't have height barriers near the west quay just past the ferry terminal in Southampton and parked on the seafront in Portsmouth

We only used the site for one night as a stopover for the ferry but still received a very warm welcome from the wardens. Our pitch, as were most, was hard standing with hookup, and adjacent fresh water and grey water points.
The shower block, washing up facilities and laundry areas were clean and well lit with plenty of hot water; there was even a clean microwave in the washing up area. Plenty of local information is supplied in the washing up area. The only negative point we noted was that the local road was quite noisy all night with a surprising amount of through traffic.
There is a Tesco extra quite close to the site, however the parking there is tight if you are towing or using a motorhome. Also close is a brilliant [we felt] pick you own farm.

We stayed at Sunnydale Farm last weekend and it was very good.
All facilities were of a very good standard and very clean.
When we booked in we were given a leaflet with local information how to get to places and if they were dog friendly, which was very helpful.
The location is very good, we walked a mile from the campsite to Weston Beach and saw cruise liners leaving the docks.
We were very lucky with the weather which is always helpful.
We will definitely return.

We had a two night stay here, the site was clean and well maintained. Great idea to have a utility room with a freezer, ironing board, kettle and microwave.
Friendly site, Good location for sight seeing is easy to find and well sign posted.
Very peaceful apart from the cruise liners that are coming into port early in the morning blowing their horns.
Tesco is two minutes away which is very handy. Would certainly come back.

Chose site for location to Portsmouth ferry terminal, took 30 minutes. Thoughtful touches include a kettle, freezer, free hairdryer, clothes line with pegs! Modern, good quality toilet block, washers, driers. Downsides were quite long grass in tent field, so wet socks and shoes, road noise, and opposite a tip. Lovely local villages and sea close by. £21 for 2 adults with no electric. Would use again if using ferry, but not otherwise, as nothing for children.

This was only our second camping trip in this country since buying our own tent - though we have spent many holidays abroad camping with Canvas and Eurocamp before - so haven't much to compare the site to.
Positives:
* Toilet blocks - clean, good condition, nice showers. Ladies block had 5 toilets and hand basins with soap and toilet paper. Four shower cubicles which had changing area.
* Staff - were friendly and helpful.
* Site felt relaxed. We were in the tent 'field' and had a choice of pitches; also EHU area were there is hard standing for carvans/motor homes, this area was busier when we stayed.
* Room with good washing up facilities; washing machines; fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle.
* Recycling facilities on site.
* Small shop in reception for emergency first night supplies and soft drinks.
* Quiet, didn't hear road noise, although it did rain for the two days so all we could hear was that!
* Can take dogs with walks around area.
Negatives
* Could have done with wellies to get to toilet/shower block as it was so wet the path was squidgy.
* It seemed expensive to us at £20 per night for a five man tent with two people and no EHU but as mentioned this is only our second UK trip.
As previously mentioned the weather was so miserable that we didn't see the site in its best light. Having said that if we wanted to visit the area again we would consider going back.

We stayed for the Jubilee weekend and thought the site was just great. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and modern. The grounds were well maintained and we especially liked the chickens!
The staff were all helpful and were happy to point us in the direction of local places of interest.
Amber our Border terrier was made as welcome as we were.
We would not hesitate to visit again and will be recommending to fellow camping chums.
Great, well done!
