Arrived July 12th for a one week stay and we were shown to our pitch in field 3 with a sea view: Fantastic & probably the best location.

Site was level and plenty of space to park the car at the side of the tent. We were not far from the toilet & shower bloke but far enough away for it not to disturb us in any way. Although the toilet & shower block has ample toilets and 5 shower cubicles with hot water it never the less needs re-vamping, it's very basic and has an uncleanliness feel about it. The showers are on a timer so you have to push the button every 20 seconds for continuous hot water. Dont know how often they are cleaned because in the whole week that we stayed here I never once saw anybody go in and clean them?

The site was quite for this time of year, which is a God send and we were not woken up at the crack of dawn by squarking Seagulls either, yip---eee, slept through every night and I'm a light sleeper

Apart from the toilet facisities the camp site is very clean and well maintained. The restuarant is very cheap and the food excellent. Takeaway food / snacks are resonable.

Swimming pool is very clean. The campsite shop is small but caters for all the necessaries.

Another excellent half term week at Bank Farm. Well done! Weather added to the lovely week with only one day of rain. Swimming pool cleaner than previous visits and for that matter so was the shower block. I cant help thinking that with just a little bit more of an investment on the facilities and updating the cafe and restaurant areas, this site would jostle for the top site of the UK as the location is simply the best you are ever going to get.

We had a fine weekend with the kids here in mid September. Great location and fab views. Close to the lovely Horton beach but need to use the car if carrying stuff due to steep hill. Very useful shop on site. Have to agree with other posts re the toilets/showers - the site was not full during our visit so no probs but I would imagine they are inadequate in high season. Some pitches very steep sloping so take all your blocks and chocks. Follow the recommended route, not your satnav if towing a large caravan.

Visited this site after being away from it for about 10 yrs and nothing changed, apart from the cover over the pool. Still looks the same, we were up in field 12 right up the back smashing views, where the children had acres of room to play in. Shower block seems to be a big talking point, the mens was cleaned regular and plenty of loo roll(used to take our own yrs ago)club house is way too small for the amount of people staying but still enjoyed and would go back.

We tend to use this site for the odd weekend away as it's so close to home, and it has a pool.

The pool is covered rather than indoors, and can tend to be  a bit cold, the kids don't seem to mind.

Food in the club house or takeaway is 'everything with chips' and can be ok depending on who's serving at the time.

The club is small and can get rather crowded at times, with an arcade attached.

If you can get a front pitch the view is astounding, and there is something special about sitting in the front of the van of an evening gazing at the twinkling lights of shipping out in the channel as they make their way into port, with Port Eynon below.

The 0n site shop sells everything you need, albeit at slightly inflated prices, but don't all site shops.

Nearby Horton Beach is dog friendly one end and is a short easy stroll down, but beware it is a lung burster coming back up!

The toilet block can at best be described as poor.

In all honest I think the owners of Bank Farm are a little complacent and could do a lot more to enhance an otherwise stunning location.

Having returned yesterday from a long weekend at this site I felt I had to leave a review. What a mess! After hearing people rave about this site and it always being full I thought we were on to a gem staying here-how wrong could I be!
Bad bits- The worst showers and toilets I have EVER saw! I made 2 complaints about the state of them but the teenage girl behind the desk was completely uninterested. Sat morning I had a very cold shower- approx 9.30am had to wait 25 mins as only 4 showers in a block, so it wasnt even 12noon when I wanted to shower and water had run cold it was early morning! On the wall in my shower there was thick red blood- not the kind from shaving your legs either. Grass is everywhere, toilet tissue everywhere I felt cleaner before the shower! One complaint was that all of the toilets in the block had no toilet paper and flushes didnt work. They also do not provide hand soap. We are not the type to expext brilliant showers and toilets just clean facilities will do.There was abit of noise from the tent field after 12 but I can ignore that as we all have had a bbq that has run on abit late havent we. Pool v. Small for the amount of people on the site, as is the club house.
Good bits- the view was lovely, couldnt get any better to be fair we were in field 3, also we werent crammed in, alot of space infront of our pitch, dont think its enough to bring us back to those showers though!

Just returned from 10 days at Bank Farm. Following their alternative route is advisable. Had a fully serviced pitch which included mains water and waste water disposal point. Pitch was also hard standing although this proved a bit of a problem when positioning awning etc and trying to reach water point which was too far for the hired aqua source to reach (a bit of handy work with a piece of hosepipe did the trick eventually)
We did find the site to be quite noisy at night or maybe we were just unfortunate with our neighbouring seasonal campers! Have to say that although we did'nt use the shower block as many as some, as we used ours in our van none of us ever saw it being cleaned. There was no soap, and toilet roll seemed to be in short supply, also many of the toilets were blocked and filthy.
Didnt use the pool due to the fact that it was heaving and quite murky looking, although this was probably due to the amount of people in there. Had a few take away meals from site which were nice and reasonably priced.
We were disappointed with the site but the area compansated for this. Lovely beaches, highly recommend local beach Port Enyon which is fantastic for rock pool exploring.

Just back from a week at a C&CC 'site for holidays' at Bank Farm's rally field. Since the view alone was worth more than we were paying, I will leave critical observations to others and instead concentrate on its three best features - location, location and location. The view across the Bristol Channel towards Ilfracombe is superb.
Don't tell our fellow Channel Islanders we said so, but the Gower is stupendous for active kids - swimming, horse riding and surfing this time around - and we know we have barely scratched the surface of what's on offer within a few miles of this site.
Just don't follow this website's recommended route - see other postings here for the better approach, which Bank Farm will post out to you.
Dunno why the Welsh have a reputation for not being friendly. We found shop staff almost universally better than the norm and courtesy and patience on the Gower's narrow roads is streets ahead of what we experience in Guernsey or in the rest of the UK. Like Arnie, we will be back.

The campsite was good. Staff friendly and helpful.  Bar very good value, food good. Good location. Toilet facilities let the standard down. Very dirty and unclean. Not a pleasure to use.
Dogs allowed on campsite but not on beach nearest to campsite during May, June, July and August.

Visited for a weekend with my family and a friends family who had a caravan.  Superb.  Amenities excellent.  Very friendly campsite and definitely child friendly.  Steep walk to the beach but manageable.  Swimming pool slightly cold for me but the kids loved it.  Would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.

Well done Bank Farm.
