Just come back from weekend visit to bank farm and really enjoyed however there were some good & bad points.
The little shop on the site has everything you need they will freeze your ice packs for 10p each and the prices are really good, only open til 6 though. The site itself is lovely and we were close to all amenities which were clean and no shortage of loo roll!
We "endured" a Sat night in the clubhouse which was not our cup of t at all. It was extremely full and therefore people were spilling out into the cafe area where we were trying to eat with a young child we had to leave eventually as the language was quite choice and we felt pushed out. The site is noisy no getting away from it with music played all day in most fields. All in all we will visit again but will look for a quieter more natural campsite for future trips

Lovely clean site with great views & good access. Nice clubhouse but have to say that children seem to be able to run free around it, even late into the night - which can be annoying. Sorry to seem like moaning but the site can be noisy at times with seemingly no restriction on late night noise. I would have expected cleaner toilets / showers & washing up facilities for a site this size too. All in all, though, this is a nice site and great for touring the Gower.

Fantastic, awesome site with awesome views over bay. Great clubhouse, with really well priced food, cooked as you order. Weather was dismal but this site is great whatever the weather. We will go back again and again, what a fantastic start to the season. Not really a moan but would like to see a bigger park more centrally located for the kids, and more showers, only spotted one block on site.

We had a great time here. The view over the bay was awesome. A very well kept site with clean shower block and plenty of hot water, a well stocked shop and great club house. The pool was a bit cold but the kids did not seem to mind. The food that is served in the club house is top class and freshly prepaired when you order it. Looking foreward to return again, I would highly recomend this site for families.

June 2005 Loved this site! Staff really friendly. Great Indoor / outdoor Pool. Prices were reasonable in bar / restaurant. Toilets and showers were good. Lovely views. We had a fantastic flat pitch in Field 3, beautiful, couldn't stop looking over the sea! A very steep walk to the beach but wasn't far to experience a gorgeous beach. Nice weather mind, that helps!

August 2005 Spent a couple of days in a tent with an electric hook-up. View over Port Eynon was great and we were lucky with the weather apart from the last night when the wind and rain hit and we realised how exposed we were up on field 3. The tent took a bit of a battering but no harm done. Hook-up was a fair way from the tent and we had to hire a 10m extension from reception to add to our 10m cable(£25-fully refundable). Club ok not too pricey with a cafe at back.Nothing for small kids in the club which ended our evening early as our 5 and 4 year olds got bored and played up! Small play area outside club which was ok. On site shop well stocked and reasonably priced especially the beach stuff like swim rings flip flops etc. Biggest gripe was the toilets / shower block which was poorly maintained and didnt look like they had been given a good clean for some time-the toilets were really smelly. This was the only thing we didnt like but it was bad enough to put us off.

July 2005 We recently spent a weekend at this very popular site, having booked by telephone a few weeks beforehand.
The site is very clean and the staff generally friendly. Showers and toilets cleaned regularly.
The bar is very reasonably priced and we also found the café food to be quite good. Obviously there can be high demand for food at busy times so it is best to order at least an hour and a half before bar food closes (usually 9pm).
The site has a wonderful location, with excellent views across the bay. Oxwich bay is a short drive away (although not as pretty), as is Worms Head and Rhossili Bay which are a must-see.
We will be returning!

May 2005 This seems like a pretty nice site, particularly geared up for families. Due to it being a quiet week, we ended up in the electric hookup field fight next to the toilet/shower block. The site does slope a little bit, but it's manageable, and the views are very nice from the southern part of the site.
The showers are warm and the facilities cleaned pretty regularly, which is a thumbs up from me.
As I said, it seems geared up for families there, complete with a games room, small indoor pool and play area, and I did find the site a little noisy during the day. There's a bar, cafe, shop and laundry on site, which are all OK, if nothing special. However, beware smokers - the nearest place to buy ciggies after 6pm is Port Eynon, the next village along the coast. The cafe and shop doesn't seem to open for as long in mid week either, once the weekenders have gone. Oh, and if you have one of the new style flat camping stoves, the nearest place to buy cannisters is ... Port Eynon again.
There's a short but steep walk to the beach, with a shop near the bottom. There is a car park by the beach, but beware, as some surfers had their car broken into on the first day we visited the beach. The beach at this end is lovely though and a large area of it is available for dog owners (the site takes dogs too).
A 10 minute walk along the dunes gets you to Port Eynon, with a pub, a couple of chippies and a restaurant. Although there is a pub marked on the map in Horton itself, it seems to have been replaced by a small new build estate (either that or we just didn't look hard enough!)
All in all, it was a nice clean place to stay, but wouldn't be on my list of favourite sites. I would return for the beach though!

April 2005 This site is our favourite ,only half an hour drive from Swansea and we go most weekends. we have been using this site for many years. The Gower really is an area of outstanding natural beauty! Very generous pitches, facilities are excellent, clean toilets, free hot showers. There is a clubhouse that does excellent bar meals and Sunday lunches at reasonable prices. there's a snackbar, that does "chips with eveything" icecreams, coffee etc, and a well stocked shop again, all very reasonable. there is a small games room and a playground, and this year they have an indoor swimming pool, also free. Five minute walk down the hill to the beach.

July 2004 We came across this site by accident, we only stayed overnight but will return. The pitch was well maintained, toilets were spotlessly clean and well stocked (didn't need to use the emergency loo roll!) washing up area is outside but under cover and water was piping hot both times we used it. We didn't venture down to the beach as it was a hell of an uphill walk coming back ! (we drove to nearby oxwich bay). The park also permits pets which was good as we had 2 large dogs eager to camp !
