Wonderful location and stunning views. It is a large site and so better for us to go off season. The coffee shop and restaurant were handy. Good place to people watch! Good dog walking areas too.
Cleanish facilities but as it is such a large site difficult to keep spotless 24/7.
Would visit again off season.

We spent three nights at bank farm in our tent (as it was a change from our motor home)
First impressions are that it's a big site, but there were a lack of toilet blocks, the main toilet block in the middle of the camping field seems to only have a few washing up sinks which got crowded during our whitsun week stay, I definitely do think they could benefit from some more wash blocks.
The toilets themselves were ok, they were definitely not what I could describe as clean, lack of soap and toilet paper, and at one point there was excrement of the floor in the sink area. But then this is through no fault of the campsite it is of the people using them, (it certainly makes you wander if they leave their home toilets in this state).
The swimming pool was nice, lovely size and deep enough to dive at the deep end, it seemed cold at first but it soon warmed up, the changing rooms and toilets there were ok, not brilliant but again I think this is cleanliness caused by people not being bothered to clean up after themselves.
Our tent pitch was spacious and had more than enough space for our 6 man tent, although I had to clear a fair bit of dog mess off our pitch (I have dogs who love camping but I wouldn't just let them do their business anywhere) again not the campsites fault but previous customers but the pitch and spacious and nice.
The views from the site are beautiful, looking right over port Eynon, you can walk into the village too which is beautiful with a dog friendly part to the beach, a few pubs and fish and chip shops as well as a surf clothes type shop and a beach shop. The walk takes about 10 minutes there and fifteen minutes back. (Uphill) Its also handy placed for visiting oxwich and Rhossilli, both stunning places.
Make sure you don't follow your sat nav to get here if you are towing or are in a motorhome (thin lanes), but the gower is a lot like that anyway (hence why I bought the tent)
I think bank farm would be a lovely place to be outside of a busy week, my three children under 10 struggled to get to sleep due to the noise of a group of campers next to us who clearly had no regard for keeping their kids under control or their own volumes, it's such a shame that nice experiences can have downsides because of other people's lack of consideration, it's the same with the cleanliness of toilet blocks etc, a little bit of thought for others from other people would have made the experience more fun.
The on site shop sold the basics and there was also a bar with reasonable prices and a cafe. The bar did nice food that was very reasonably prices, we can also recommend the breakfasts.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately I doubt we will be back, not in a peak season week anyway.

A large site with open views and plenty of space, however, we paid £27. 50 per night for our 3 man tent for the two of us plus electric and were disappointed with the toilet and shower facilities.
The ladies and gents facilities were dirty throughout our four night stay and seemed to be only wiped over once a day in the morning and toilet rolls ran out. My husband never managed to have a hot shower, only cold, and would have appreciated a plug in a sink so he could have a wet shave.
The ladies showers were so fierce and with only one door hook it was difficult to keep clothes/towels dry. The ladies soap dispenser ran out on Sunday and was still empty on Tuesday and the one hand drier didn't work at all. The washing up water was warm/cold. Other people were commenting and unhappy on the same faults.
There was litter in the hedge by the shower block which remained there throughout.
The bar food was plentiful but some meals tasted extra salty.
The entertainment was entertaining.
It is a shame that the lack of attention to detail spoiled an otherwise much needed break as this could be a really great site.

We stayed on this site for a couple of nights in the winter and although we were the only tourer on site were pleasantly surprised to find the reception still open and staffed by a pleasant young lady who escorted us to our pitch (in the dark).
We asked for a hard standing which was a thin strip of concrete so we still had to step out onto grass which was nicely cut but a bit muddy by pitch. Must mention the electric hook up it was metered this was a first for us and must admit we were a bit apprehensive, you pay £5. 00 deposit (refundable) and load £5. 00 WOW what a surprise when we went to redeem card, after two days in the winter with everything going we got a refund of £3. 80!a bargain.
The facilities were as you would expect on a large commercial site clean and warm, the downside for us was the bar and restaurant although open didn't allow dogs(not unusual in Wales we've found).
The 15 minute walk down to the beach is quite steep but worthwhile especially when tide is out and in season there are a couple of shops chip shop etc.
There is a swimming pool on site don't know if it was open, the village shop closes for the season in October.
One last very important thing DON'T follow satnav get directions from site, bit scary !

We stayed at bank farm on a camping and caravanning club West Wales DA rally field and what a great camp site this was with a covered outdoor swimming pool a well stocked local shop, laundry room modern toilets and showers that we always found clean.
Friendly staff and a windy but fabulous location the scenery is stunning. It's a downhill walk to a very nice beach but a uphill walk back but the beaches are very nice and clean as is the see with massive sand dunes to mess about in.
A large busy site but worth the money and you can even get gas bottles from reception. Electric is one meter and for a whole week was less than five pounds.

We love Banks farm, we are about to back for our 3rd holiday there, the children love it, so much so, when we ask them where do they want to go for holidays, 'Banks Farm' comes a loud reply.
The views are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the club house has good entertainment throughout the summer months, and the food is pretty good too. Its a large site which has hard standing and grass pitches, and plenty of pitches for camping too.
If you want to go out and about, there's plenty of beautiful places to visit throughout the Gower.
Banks Farm is a fantastic place for families, highly recommend this site

Decided to make an end of season visit to Bank Farm. Although there was a lack of visitors, there was definitely no lack of hospitality or service. Took two first time campers along.
They were absolutely delighted by the views, amenities and service. Considering the time of year, everything was the same as a more profitable high season booking. Great time had by all!
Doubtless to say, the two 'Newbies' are updating their kit for next year and a return visit!

Stayed as part of a rally so I wasn't paying the extortionate £30 per night, but still had full use of all the sites facilities.
Site is quite exposed to the atlantic winds so storm straps are a must for any units.
Swimming pool was great if a little busy at times, and the club house provided a great venue during both the day and night, but is too small for the amount of campers there.
Food in the restaurant we felt was good value for money.
My only concern and I would like any parent who visits to take note of, is that the children's play park by the club house, opens straight onto the site road, and oncoming cars cannot see kids trying to cross.
We highlighted this to the site and we hope that they address this by means of a marked crossing, speed ramps, and reduced parking by the park as I felt it was an accident waiting to happen.
In spite of this we would return and hope to next year.

Good bungalow, good value. Recently refurbished, clean, though lacks storage space and neighbour walls are thin. Very well equipped (except no dishwasher), and selection of games provided. 5min walk to site shop, laundry, small pool, and bar with reasonable food.
15min walk down steepish hill to local beach or 10min drive to the gorgeous Rossilli beach. Booking management is poor - after completing the online 'booking' we heard nothing until chased them a few days later, and a subsequent enquiry was unanswered.
That said, once on site, staff were friendly and helpful. The rest of the site seemed a mix of full (noisy?) camp/caravan fields close to the clubhouse etc, or more spacious field further away.

We stayed on the Rally field with the camping and caravanning club for 6 nights at the beginning of August. We paid £12 per night for our non elec pitch. Our field was at the very top of the site so it was more quiet which is how I like it! I was very impressed with the site. Very good facilities. Showers and toilets were clean. The café and bar was reasonably priced and all the staff were very good. The site has lovely sea views and the beach can be accessed directly from the site in a 10 minute downhill walk. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. Would def recommend for the rally field and I expect to go back again in future.
