Fantastic camp site
Great toilet and shower blocks with all the facilities you could need including plug sockets
Be careful not to be too far away from the toilet blocks though as they are only at one end of the 4 field site.
Very polite staff - always on hand and present on the site. Owner oversees things on his quad bike to keep everyone safe
Beautiful views - right on the beach!
A great weekend - will be visiting again : )

We have just returned from a long weekend where we stayed at this campsite.
This site is in an ideal location, it is right on the beach, close to a small beach shop and chip shop, has fantastic views and great walks. The beach is also great for exploring the rock pools.
However, the site is very large (4 fields) with only two average sized toilet blocks in the first and second fields. We were pitched close to the toilet block in the second field and due to the distance away some people were, cars were driving up to the toilet block all through the night parking outside our tent, which kept us awake. We went over the bank holiday weekend and it was extremely busy with queues to have a shower or go to the loo all the time.
To be fair, the owners were always around during the day should there be a problem and although the loos were regularly cleaned, had their toilet roll replaced and there was always hot water, purely due to the volume of people they soon became very, very grotty again. This site desperately needs at least another block to be built.
We were very lucky as the weather was fantastic so we spent all of our time on the beach but should we not have been so lucky there is very little in the area to entertain children without having to travel quite a distance.

We chose this site to camp over the bank holiday weekend after reading the positive reviews on this site. It could be a great site as the location is perfect but was let down by overcrowding and poor policing.
There are several camping fields but only the top two fields have a toilet block, not enough toilets and showers for the huge number of campers and a 5 minute plus walk from the last field (not fun with small children) They did clean the blocks through the day but with so many people using them they didn't stay clean long. Also a nightmare to use with small children, lethal slippy floors as the bruises on my 2 year old will testify and no seats/benches to sit them on once they are out of the shower. Also would benefit from a baby change unit. This is billed as a site great for young children so please give us facilities for them!
There are no marked pitches on this site and no organisation to how people were sited, it's a good job we could walk to the beach as we couldn't get our van off site as we were blocked in by other campers.
Lastly the noise at night went on to the early hours despite the notices handed out to keep quiet after 11pm. There were supposed to be security guards on over the weekend but they didn't seem to crack down on noise around us.

Excellent site for a family we travelled down in a motor home and slept in a tent.
Good clean facilities, within walking distance from the beach, Fish and Chip shop, Shop and also Pub. Very friendly staff throughout our stay.
Only problem we had was the travel from the site up to the main road of Swansea was a half an hour travel (kids were very agitated before we got to go anywhere)

I've been camping on the Gower for years but this was my first time at this site. Why have I not stayed here before??? Fantastic pitch, fantastic views, clean and more than adequate ablutions block. The site is practically on the beach and the pub, restaurant and chip shop (real coffee served) were all within two minutes walk of our pitch. I'm definitely coming again. My only wish was that I'd discovered this site sooner. In a word, Brilliant.

Site was lovely. Toilet and shower block were fantastic - showers were lovely and warm. Dishwashing facilities also looked good however we tended to wash up at the tent. There was even a laundry room - huge washer and dryers.
Access out of the campsite either onto the coastal walk, or down out of the end to the salt house ruin and to the little cove/bay.
In Port Eynon itself there's a couple of pubs, fish and chip shops that seem to open on alternate days so as not to clash, trinket and gift shops, as well as surf type bits and pieces.
The main shop in the village though - that looked like it sold everyday things, was up for sale and decidedly empty when we were there (it's opposite the church).
The campsite shop had basics in though, and was reasonably well stocked, and priced if you're in a pinch.
Other than that, we tended to get things in from Tesco in Swansea as we were out that way.
Easy access to parts of the Gower Way, and to Arthur's Seat, archery and falconry centre is about 5-10 minutes away by car. Lots to do/walk/explore coastal paths etc immediately accessible from campsite - but lots also to do if you can bear to take the car out for a short trip!
The shop even gave out glow sticks to the kids of an evening over the first weekend we were there.
There isn't anything for the kids to do - no playground, but there is the beach VERY close by. Other than that, we saw kids on bikes, kids on scooters, kids with frisbee's, kids with bat and balls. Kids having a good time in general really.
The only reason we came back a day early was the gusts of winds - up to 60+ miles an hour were measured and we weren't that sure our little tent would take a third night of such batterings! There's being brave, and then there's being stupid!
There were about 4 or 5 other tents that didn't leave, but I think they were in a slightly more sheltered position than we were!
However, we will be returning, and hopefully, it'll be a little less windy!
Good site, clean and tidy - fantastically situated.

We came back to this camp site again after visiting last year. What a blast We love the site because it has everything you need within walking distance, no need for the car yippee!. V. good site shop, chippie (not over priced and plentiful) beach so close if you forget something you can just nip back through the adjoining lane. Friendly, helpful staff. The shower blocks are well stocked and clean with hot water. The fields are a bit on a slope but we managed to get on a flatter bit. The site was packed but not overcrowded Never heard a peep out of the kids even the teenagers. Can't wait to go back ASAP. No complaints well done

Just got back from a brilliant weekend here, which was helped immensely by the excellent facilities and location of this campsite.
Firstly the location is fantastic, quite literally a minute's walk from the beach. You can walk up to the hill behind the campsite in a few minutes and enjoy wonderful views over Port Eynon beach and Smugglers' Cove.
As facilities go there are water taps in every field of the four. The toilet / shower block is superb, kept very clean and fully functioning, with toilet paper and excellent hot showers. No broken doors or mirrors here!
The campsite shop is well stocked with all the essentials; camp stoves, gas, utensils, cutlery, barbecues, beans, bread, sausages, bacon, etc etc, and also sells beer, beach toys and camping chairs. Nearby (< 2mins) is the local pub, another restaurant, surf shop, tourist shop, fish and chip shop and cafe, all excellent. Oh, and the ice-cream van comes onto the campsite, for those of you with kids!
Honestly, I couldn't have had a better weekend. Highly recommended.

Just come back from an extended weekend away at this campsite.
What can I say. We loved it. The campsite is only a few feet away from the beach. You can see the sea from your tent!
We camped on field 3 which seems to be one of the most level at the site. We arrived on Sat afternoon and it was busy, but we still found a spot that was fine.
There are taps in each of the fields so you were never too far from water.
The shower/toilet block in field 2 was a new building, and was lovely. Free showers, all clean and new. Loo paper too, and whoever asked for mirrors above the sink. Well they are there now!
Its worth noting that they do allow dogs.
The campsite felt very 'safe' as its quite out of the way. Our friends 5 yr old and our 4 year old felt happy to walk to the block in the next field on their own.
The shop carries all the essentials, and stays open late.
We tried the chip shop on site, and got good service and excellent food.I am sure fish and chips are nicer at the seaside!
If you want a kids play area, and feel that a beach, rockpools, large fields with wild rabbits running free isn't enough for your kids then, you may not like it, otherwise like us, you'll love it, and will go back for more!
The only down side is that we have to travel 150 miles to get there!

Bit late, stayed Bank Holiday all week. Site was quiet on the Monday due to the wind. Toilet block 2nd field very clean and new looking, bit tight in shower and could do with some mirrors over sinks. First 2 fields gentle slope 3 and 4th better. Nice and clean site, two chip shops, two pubs, one shop. Lovely beach and some really breath taking views.
