Stunning location right by the sea. Clean site with good basic facilities. Unfortunately the staff are rude with enough rules to ensure it feels more like a prison camp than a holiday park.
The warden in particular is keen to find trouble where none exists. There are far better run sites in the Gower. Avoid!

This is our second visit to this site.
It consists of four large fields with two shower and toilet blocks.
I believe the only set pitches are for EHU where you are positioned next to the EHU supply.
We like this site as I enjoy sea fishing and due to it's location there are no steep cliffs to negotiate, in fact you walk out the gate and within a hundred yards you are on the beach, which is patrolled by lifeguards a bonus if you have young children. There are two fish and chip shops and a shop selling the usual seaside wares, as well as a pub and small shop behind the pub.
On site, the showers were kept clean, as was the washing up area, I also noticed outside showers for wet suit wearers.
Staff were friendly and busy. Fields all looked well kept, and site was clean.
It would appear there were a lot more seasonal pitches than last time we were here.
The two furthest fields (no EHU) provide stunning views of the beach if you park by the fenceline.
Both times we have been there, there has been heavy winds at night so I think it advisable to check guy ropes etc before bed. We wind the van awning in each night.
We were on an EHU pitch which had plenty of room before the next van.
A word of warning for motorhomes and caravanners (especially with your extended mirrors), the last few miles to the site can be a bit of a white knuckle ride. It can be very tight and at one point there is an eight foot wall that leans inwards to the road and would not be very forgiving.
I could not afford to use that site very often on my budget, but if you have kids who like the beach there is plenty to do, rockpools in one area, patrolled swimming in another area. Surf kayaks seem very popular here too.
We were lucky with the weather too, it was steaming hot.
If you don't mind the white knuckle ride, it might be for you.

Our second time visiting this site. I have nothing bad to say about it really. Great views over looking the beach, nice clean toilets and showers, it's a big site with separate fields connected together, it was quite busy in the field close to the showers. We set up camp in the far field which was quite and the short walk to the toilets was no problem. So all in all a great site great views, staff and facilities. Dog friendly close to pubs restaurants and take aways for fish and chips on the beach. Would definitely recommend this campsite for family's with children, couples and anyone looking for a relaxing get away with everything you need in close proximity.

We love this site and go back every year. It is a big site that is busy at weekends. The field is clean and the toilets etc are cleaned regularly, at certain times you will find sand in the showers, but the site is next to the beach so expected. The last field is a long walk from the toilets but our 7 and 8 year old didn't complain. If you want to walk less, camp in the field nearer the toilets. A previous post states that there are not enough toilets or showers. There are 2 blocks with about 7 loos in each. We have never had a problem with availability of toilets and showers. Definitely recommend this site.

We called the day before we arrived and Rob facilitated are party of 3 families with electric, all pitched together! If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is! Friendly welcome & rugby banter to boot! The site is fantastic, right on the beach, great views and a lovely atmosphere. Toilet block is good, those moaning about splashing water from the showers onto the floor are obviously not seasoned campers, No. 1 rule of camping is put nothing on the floor in the toilet block (except your flip flops)! The Gower is glorious and we had fabulous weather so all the more glorious. Well stocked shop, chip shop & great pub The Ship round the corner. Fantastic time had by all, highly recommended site, we will definitely be returning.

Just back from a week's holiday at this site.
Have to say it's one of the best sites we have ever used.
Bearing in mind it was august and the site was fully booked, we had no issues at all. The showers were always clean and I didn't queue once, the wetsuit showers are a great idea after a day on the beach, and the staff were very friendly.
Will definitely be returning.

Have been staying here for over 40 years, very clean site, very helpful staff. Close to shops, pub! Most importantly the beach is the first thing you see in the morning. Staff came around in the evening with glow sticks for the children free of charge. Site shop has everything needed for your holiday. Wardens patrol regular, great family site. Plenty to do, beach has fascinating Rick pools which keep the children amused and great coastal path

I have just got back from Carreglwyd in Port Eynon after an excellent holiday. The site itself is very nice and is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. It is a spacey site and you get to choose where to pitch yourself. Some of the field is on a bit of a slope so I needed to use leveling ramps for the van but if you were looking for a flat pitch you could probably find one somewhere in the fields. Where we pitched had a lovely sea view which we really liked. This is the second time I have returned to the site and I definitely would again.
The site itself has a well stocked shop, good toilet and shower facilities and plenty of water points. The owners seem to look after the site well and the site although very busy at the weekends still had space and was quiet after 10:30pm. It was ideal for a family visit. Once the weekend passed the site emptied out and there was even more space for the kids to play in.
Port Eynon is also very nice, the beach as mentioned was only a couple of minutes walk. Just off the beach there is a cafe, chip shop and beach shop which is very convenient. A bit further up the road (when driving) in Scurlage there is a convenience store which had everything you could need.
I definitely recommend the site it was a great holiday.

We've just returned from a fabulous weekend at this campsite.
The first thing to say is that it is quite remote! Our sat nav said 3 hours 15 mins from the Midlands but it took us 5 hours to get there and 5 and half to get back! It's only 18 miles or so from Swansea but it takes around an hour so factor this in when journey planning (especially if you have a very lively toddler!)
However, it is totally worth it. The site itself has amazing sea views, lovely big pitches, friendly and welcoming staff. It's lovely and clean, the family shower rooms are brilliant and the shop was well stocked with food and games and beach toys.
The beach, complete with 2 chip/ice-cream shops, a gift shop, a restaurant and a pub, is just 2 minutes walk away. The beach itself is beautiful and despite visiting on a really hot day wasn't that busy. You can paddle, swim, kayak etc and there were lifeguards there the whole time. We really liked that dogs are only allowed on one half of the beach too.
The local pub, The Ship Inn, gets amazing reviews online but we found it to be pretty average; slightly odd menu - beetroot and basmati rice with a fish platter?! - it took over an hour for our food to arrive (scampi/burger and chips) and it's quite expensive for what it is.
No matter, the rest of the weekend was great and we'll definitely return when we can face the journey again!

You cannot fault this campsite for the location. As its right on the beach with no hill for little children to walk. Plus there is a pub (with lovely food), a chip shop and a shop.
So its understandable why people return to this site. However, the people that run this site are so unfriendly and rude.
The facilities on the site a appalling. There are 3 large fields which are great as the site holds 400 tents and you don't feel like you are on top of one another. However, there is one shower/toilet block in the first field. So its a very long walk to the toilets. Not good when you have small children.
The toilet block itself is very tired and only have 7 toilets! And a couple more showers which were not the cleanest. Plus had run out of toilet paper on more than one occasion.
If you are going to stay on this site I would definitely recommend a portable toilet!
