We stayed on this site for one night in April. The location is superb; it's literally on the beach. Port Eynon is a nice little place. There are a couple of fish and chip shops and a general store a couple of minutes from the site entrance and a nice pub down the lane but apart from that there's not much else. There were plenty of clean toilets and showers on site and a small site shop which sells things like calor gas, tin openers etc. We thought that it was quite expensive considering it was only April and there aren't that many facilities on the site. We paid £23 for one night in a campervan with an electric hook up (2 adults and 1 child). It would be nice if there was a playground for the kids.

We have just had a lovely weekend here, spent most summers here when I was a kid has not changed a lot since.
Not the cheapest site around but it is right on the beach.
The staff were all very friendly patrolling on quads to stop people getting too noisy.
The toilet were all nice and clean the field are a a slop so get there early to get a good pitch.
Only thing my kids were missing was a play area.
We will be going back later this year.

I have to say I echo a lot of what has been written her already.
We (3 x families) stayed on the 1st field. Quiet steep. The site was a bit pricey but you pay for the view and boy what a view! Close to a brilliant beach.
The bad points are Sloped pitch, we had no hot water all weekend, loads of dog mess, and we didn't like the fact that there was a patrol on a quad bike as we too felt very guilty! No much room for the kids to run around and cost.

We stayed in the fourth field, so yes a bit of a walk to the toilets but on the positive side we barbecued on the beach, just on the end of the campsite, put our kayaks straight into the sea from our camping base. Fantastic !
Level at the bottom of the field but more of an incline as it goes up.
You pay your money and you find your pitch. Great idea!
And quiet generally morning and night.
Field one is a little noisy for me but as you go along it gets quieter.
Toilets are clean, showers spot on.
The local pub is the ship, great for the big screen watching the football.
The local restaurant which I think is called the smugglers haunt, not the cheapest but food is worth every penny charged.
Local walks every where,we went to the smugglers cave which is just behind the campsite. Look it up then see if you can find it? very clever location.
Also went to worms head but there is so much to do and see round here I could go on and on.
Loved this camp site and we will be back.

Visited with 3 other families plus dogs. Stayed in the end field which is quieter, but a walk from the 2 shower blocks. Good local facilities in walking distance, excellent beach, coastal walks and views.
Can be busy - it's a large site and attracts weekend campers when the weather is good. Shower blocks got very busy and dirty at this point but otherwise OK. Wardens kept the site fairly quiet, found them to be helpful. Not the cheapest site considering we had no electric. Would visit again, though with a group.

Found the site very welcoming once you get past the warden standing guard on the gate (found this quite reassuring after visiting some other local campsites which we drove into and around without question).
4 night stay at £20 per night for 2 of us, tent and car.
We stayed in the 3rd field along. First field was full, second is situated on a decent gradient, 4th is a bit too far from the toilets situated on the 1st and 2nd fields. A note to be aware of is that the 1st field is lit by a huge security light at night which I imagine would not be very nice if in a tent.
Found fellow campers pleasant and friendly. Noticed that there was a large number of Welsh campers on site which we took as a positive sign us driving in from England.
Fantastic views of the beach and surrounding countryside. Within 30minutes drive of all the sites, beaches and walks in Gower. On-site shop sells all essentials, 2 chippies and a pub within 100yards of gate. Decent petrol station/shop 10mins drive. Some nice bbq food available there.
Only note of concern came from the missus that only 1 toilet block and sockets to plug her hair-dryer into.
Would go again due to location and general calm atmosphere of site.

This is our 3rd visit,to this lovely campsite. It is a very clean and well looked after site, and the beach is a stones throw away. 2 adults 1 child and a dog, in a tent for 3 nights with ehu, was a bit pricey at £23 per night. The only noise around the site came from the wardens quad bike when he does his checks around the fields

This was our first camp of the season, cost us £25 a night for a family of 5 we stayed 3 nights so that was a starting price of £75 before we had bought a thing!
The owner patrolled the camp all weekend, and I ended up feeling guilty for things I hadn't done, as he made us all on edge. The owner was telling people off for using the water taps incorrectly, which I found to be quite rude.
Only 2 shower blocks there so a very long walk to the toilet unless your parked close by.
Cant see us going back there again, which is a shame because it's a lovely site, just way too expensive and a bit intimidating.

Carreglwyd is a well situated site next to Port Eynon beach.
It is an extremely busy campsite, the majority of campers will respect the rules and other campers, however you will always get the odd few who think that they are in Glastonbury. After complaining about the constant noise levels (and we were not the only ones), the campsite owners warned the offenders but it was completely ignored and nothing more was done.
The toilet/shower facilities are clean and tidy and some of the best that we have encountered so far, however, due to the size of the site, queues can form in the morning for the shower cubicles.
The Reception/Shop albeit small stocks just about anything you could want.
The pub nearby (The Ship) was family friendly and had reasonably priced drinks.
Price is higher than comparative sites, costing us £23 per night during the half-term week 2 adults and 2 children which was more than the website stated.

Very nice location by the sea. Well kept grounds and toilet/shower facilities, if a bit of long trek from tent field. Shop ok, also local amenities e.G. Cafes, pub at beach very useful.
Limited electric hook ups, none in tent field I think, got very busy through B/H weekend and some campers very noisy and showed lack of respect for others at night.
Nice coastal walk to Worms Head and Llangennith.
Overall ok but would go for quiet mid week stays outside of school holidays.
