Found this great site after reading other reviews and I must add that they were all correct in saying what a fab site this is. The site itself is on a farm which is set in beautiful surroundings, from the minute you arrive you are made to feel very welcome, the toilet and shower are just up a little sidepath and are set in what looks like outhouses but when you go into them they are absolutely immaculate and the hot showers are fab ! there is a utility room which has plenty of hot water for your washing up also has a laundry sink for your clothes if needed. The little town is about a 10 minute walk and has all that you need supermarket, fish and chips, Chinese, Italian and an Indians which all do take away or sit in if you prefer, there is a couple of pubs and then all of your usual little independent stores. We thought the price of £16 for 2 adults with electric was good for this site. The site is now run by the original owners daughter and son in law Richard who we found extremely welcoming. The whole family are doing a brilliant job in keeping this site a little gem and one that we are already looking at visiting again.

Fab Fab fab! Will definitely be back to this gorgeous gem of a site. Grassed pitched with electric. Feels like you're off the beaten track but not too far from the town of Leyburn. There are two fields. One which is slightly sloping with great views and one with a small stream running through it. I can't wait to take the grandsons there to play in the stream when the weather gets a bit warmer.
Two loos and one shower which may get a little busy at times but we had no problem at all.
Didn't meet the owner but his mum came for our payment and was very friendly.
Well kept, clean any tidy!

This is a little gem of a site, great location, views fantastic, quiet and child friendly.
Toilet block and shower facilities very good, showers very powerful and always hot.
Richard who is now running it is absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful(previous owners take some beating but Richard has made a brilliant start. After a soggy weekend we had to be towed off the site Richard did this immediately without any fuss and a smile.

Another site which we would put in our top five sites. Just a short way by car out of Leyburn where you have all the amenities you require from supermarkets, chemists, pubs, take aways and eateries.
Fairly level grassy site with no hard standings. Good waste and toilet disposal facilities. Excellent shower and toilet block.
Perfect for exploring this southern area of the Dales.
Fantastic pub at Wensley just five minutes' drive away - Three Horseshoes and recommend the Bolton Arms in Wensley.
Campbells of Leyburn is an amazing independent supermarket with an excellent fresh meat section. Masses of bottled beer to tempt you.
Very helpful owners. We had an issue with children playing with a football round the van and the owner sorted it out immediately. There is a large play area away from the vans.

Cracking little site, I almost don't want to let everyone know in case it gets full. Pros and cons though:-
Cons:-1 shower per gender and 2 toilets per gender. That said, site not busy so it wasn't a problem. The owner is aware of this and does not cram it full. No play area ( slides etc. ) for children however room to play ball etc.
Pros:- BBQ's allowed, bricks supplied to keep them of the grass. Small site which allows generous pitch space. It has a little wooden summer house with plenty of tourist information leaflets.
Good walks straight from site. Near Leyburn which has plenty of pubs, shops and takeaways. Ideal site for family groups. A little gem.

We booked into another site but after reading the reviews soon cancelled. We found this this site and did wonder what we would find. We had found the most peaceful and tranquil site.
The owners are friendly and make you feel very much at home and the views - to die for. Even the worst weather we have ever caravanned in could not break our spirit.
For walkers it is wonderful and there is so much to go and see, Leyburn is within walking distance for most people.
The toilets could get busy but very clean and the showers have plenty of room. This is a site that we will certainly be visiting again, even having to be towed out on the last day because of the wet weather by the tractor did nothing to diminish our feelings for it.
We are so glad we found this little bit of heaven.

Just back from this site, first visit but not the last. Owners very friendly and helpful, good walking from the site.
Pitches are a good size and the grass is kept well cut. Toilet and shower extremely clean but busy at times. Loads of hot water, with good facilities for dish washing and clothes washing with use of spin drier. Views fantastic.
Leyburn has lots of shops and pubs some serving better food than others. Shops give wide choice with good local food available. Plenty of places to visit without too much travelling

What a cracking little site. Just returned from a wet and windy midweek break in Leyburn. Peaceful, fantastic views, cheap - £13 a night for our van, awning and EHU!
Owners very laid back and helpful, had to use their tractor to get us off a rain soaked field. Loos and showers basic but very clean.
Leyburn only about a mile away, everything you could want is there. Try the 'Cost Cutter' shop lots of local food plus stuff you wouldn't normally find in a UK supermarket.
Will definitely be returning to this lovely site. Had to think twice about posting this review - don't really want to draw everyones attention to it!

Lovely site in wonderful location. Very friendly and helpful owners. We arrived as loads people pulling off because they had heard about a hurricane coming our way.
We had been watching the weather and had seen no no mention of it? We pitched on quite a slope making awning difficult but in view of forecast decided to do without it. Site very well kept, toilet block basic but perfectly adequate and clean.
Great walks directly from the site, and easy to walk into Leyburn where there is everything you could need and more. Chip shop, curiously this closed at 8pm? Indian and Chinese restaurants and some fab specialist shops. A must is a visit to the Teapottery just outside Leyburn.
Sure enough tail end hurricane arrived, we were advised to move our van to be sheltered by tall hedge, this worked very well.

What a brilliant site, we booked for 4 nights and ended up stopping for 6 nights.
Ideal for totally chilling out and relaxing, toilet block basic but adequate and same for showers, dog walk absolutely brilliant not the usual penned in area but a big field for them to have a good blast.
Owners are very friendly and helpful and the other campers were very helpful and very polite to talk to. Great views of the Yorkshire moors and surrounding areas,
Owners have a storage area for your caravan if you want to leave your unit there and before you arrive I noticed the owner actually pulled your caravan onto the field and positioned your unit and levelled it all up for you when you arrive (how helpful is that),
All in all cant wait to go again!
