We spent three nights here and can only echo the view of other people. A little quirky which we liked ….
What a Gem.
Owners are very friendly and helpful
The grass pitches are slightly sloping but very large and spacious well drained, with
Fantastic views over Middleham with the gallops visible in the distance.
Great base for visiting the dales. With Leyburn, Middleham and Wensley easily walkable.
Basic but very clean facilities Mens and womens toilets, washbasins and showers. A utility room is available for washing-up and laundry and a spin-dryer is provided.
Plentiful tourist information can be found in the summer house inc local takeaway menus. Dogs are welcome and there is a great dog walk through a gate to the side of the pitches,
We have visited Leyburn previously and on future visits this will be our first choice

My boyfriend & I have just come back from 3 nights stay here and can highly recommend it.
Marjorie greeted us as we drove in and gave us the option of 3 different plots to choose from. We chose a nice corner one which was very spacious even with our 9 man tent up and car parked beside it!
There was several other plots taken up by small caravans, but everyone was very friendly and it was extremely peaceful both day and night.
The site itself was well maintained and the facilities can not be faulted. There is only two toilets & one shower each for both men & women, however I showered every morning and never had to wait. I am never keen on using public showers but I must say, these were kept very clean and well kept which was a massive plus for me.
Marjorie also offered us use of her own personal freezer to pop our ice packs in if required which was a lovely gesture.
During our short stay we visited The Forbidden Corner (fantastic), Fountains Abbey (beautiful) Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, White Scar Caves and had evening meals in Middleham & Leyburn. For us, the site was in a perfect location…the furthest we had to travel was to White Scar caves which were about 45minutes drive away, but the scenery along the way was just breath taking so it wasn’t an issue.
I would definitely come back here again and have already recommended it to several others.

We came here for a long weekend and loved it. Beautiful location, very peaceful. Owners were very pleasant and helpful and had a little summer house full of leaflets, local info etc which was useful.
We were given a choice of pitches for our tent, the spot we chose was level, some shelter from hedges, plenty of space and a lovely view. Nicely kept loos/showers and good washing up area.
Leyburn is great, good restaurants (we particularly liked the Indian and Chinese), plenty of pubs and shops and all only about 15 mins walk from site.
Everyone we saw on the site and in local area was really friendly.
We would definitely go back!

Fantastic site, we stayed here for 3 nights in May, weather wasn't great but despite this we had a brilliant time.
Facilities are basic but very clean, hot water was plentiful and owners were helpful.
Area was lovely and it was great watching the horses in the next field. We would definitely recommend this site, we booked our next trip before leaving.
Site was about 10 minutes walk uphill into town, plenty of places to eat and drink, spa was a tad expensive but overall a good place to visit.

What a wonderful site! We arrived to wonderful weather and that set the scene for the rest of our weeks stay. Owners were very welcoming and showed us straight to our pitch (very spacious), the site was slightly sloping at top but not a problem, grass kept nice and short.
Toilets/showers very clean as was whole site, the recycling was very good, nice touch was spin dryer in washing up area and designated sink just for laundry. Walk into Layburn easy and good walks all round the area.
There is a small summerhouse that has plenty of information and a section of books should you wish.
Wonderful views over to Middleham and the horses training on the horizon.
Great, will be going back for sure.

We arrived on Friday for a two night stay to a friendly greeting. It was very peaceful and beautiful and only a short 15-20 min walk to pubs and shops.
The campsite was very clean and looked after with good facilities. Help was on hand but no one bothered you.
Looking forward to staying again, would definitely recommend it to others

Brilliant site, our second visit and we will be back again. Every so often a little diamond of a site is discovered and this is ours.
The toilets are always clean, showers piping hot and the views across the dale stunning. The dog loved it as well, plenty of good walks, not a tiny little area but two really big fields and access to further longer walks through the farm area.
The owners are great as well, Marjorie showed us to our pitch and when I offered to pay she said just pop it in when you get chance.
Leyburn is a short fifteen minute walk, a Co op supermarket were you can stock up, the Black Swan serves decent grub or there is a Chip shop, Chinese or a Indian if you prefer. The pizza takeaway was poor though.
The best bit, I just loved having breakfast bacon sarnies watching the horses exercising on the skyline across the dale.

Visited this site 3 times in 18 months. Very friendly site. The showers and toilets are basic but clean and well kept. There does tend to be a queue for the showers in the morning as there are only 2 showers.
The site has a fantastic view over open country to Masham and its castle. From the site it is an easy walk into Leyburn with its market(on a friday), bistros and shops.
Walk up the hill behind the site to reach Tennants Auction House (as seen on TV), a teapot factory and a chocolatier.
A peaceful site which makes a great base for exploring the area.

Very well maintained site. Toilets and showers were very clean and despite the site being full never had to wait for toilet or shower. Fantastic views from the site of the surrounding countryside. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly.
Pitches were very spacious and owners obviously conscious of not overcrowding. Once on the site you couldn't help but relax and completely switch off from work etc.
Will definitely be paying another visit. Can't recall seeing any signs regarding 'no noise' after a certain time but site had a feel about the place that it simply wasn't necessary.

We found the site facilities to be basic but very clean. The site was well kept and looked after. It was in a very peaceful surrounding. A good place to de-stress!
We were met by a lovely couple, very warm and welcoming. Very near to Leyburn with an excellent Chinese. The kids enjoyed visits to Forbidden Corner and WhiteScar Caves. A lovely place where we would recommend to fellow campers wanting a clubhouse free holiday!
