Fantastic views across Wensleydale from this gently sloping site.
Owner Richard couldn't be more helpful, lots of information about the facilities and the area.
Beautiful site with immaculately clean facilities, enough loos but only a couple of showers so a little wait sometimes. Not that we would let that put us off in the slightest from heading back as soon as we can.
Great little shops, cafes and pubs in Leyburn and a short walk to get there. Loads of walks in the area, dog friendly pubs too.
We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely brilliant site, the facilities were excellent, well kept and very clean.
The pitches are a really good size with great views of the surrounding countryside.
The owner was really helpful and friendly,
We will definitely be going back next year.

This is the first time we've stayed on this site and it won't be our last! Richard couldn't have been a better host, showing us round the site and the facilities and giving us advice on walks and events in the surrounding area.
There's no shop on site, but that's because it is so close to Leyburn and there are shops open every day. We visited Jervaulx Abbey, which was just a few miles away.
It's a beautiful, serene site and well worth a visit. Not part of English Heritage or National Trust, so you just make a donation for the upkeep, but you can take a picnic and just chill out, which was what our weekend was all about.
The views from the campsite were brilliant - we looked straight across to the hills with Middleham just below - it was lovely to see all the lights coming on as the sun went down.
There were fields all around us, so no road noise, just the occasional 'moo' from the cattle in the field next to us.
As stated above, we'll be visiting Richard again, either later this year or early next year - can't wait!

My friend and I stayed overnight after completion of the six dales trail from Pateley Bridge.
We were met by Richard and given a very detailed walk about of the site,
The facilities here are excellent with spotless toilets and shower rooms.
The utility/washing up room is really nice with us able to boil water without using any gas and the option to charge up any electrical items as well.
The site is very peaceful and is a credit to him, he couldn't of being more helpful and explained the best way to get into Leyburn avoiding the traffic.
We would both stay again with no hesitation as we need to walk more of the Dales 30 in that area.
Well happy with our stay!

This must be one of the most relaxing sites we have been to.
Richard the nicest man you will ever meet.
Showers and toilets spotless Views from every pitch. Nice walk into town.
For bbq food go to Cambells fantastic selection of fresh food and wine. And then Fryer Tucks, you will never get fish and chips that taste this good.
We thank you Richard for the a great holiday.
We will be back.

Spacious grass pitch in lower area of the site with stunning view of surrounding countryside. Level and some sloping pitches.
Charming friendly owner Richard greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the site and facilities.
Facilities situated in shed like buildings, rustic but exceptionally clean, handwash and hand gel generously supplied as well as antibac spray, washing up liquid, bleach, air fresheners. Shower hot and a proper hairdryer in the ladies washroom.
15 min walk through fields into Leyburn. Leyburn is a lovely town with many local shops, pubs etc.
Enjoyed the “ shawl walk” - level walking and nice views. Lovely walk down to the river where we saw so much birdlife.
It appears many of the people using the site visit it frequently and we can see why.
Richard appears to know everyone by name and is super accommodating. Will definitely visit again.

Quiet little site in a really nice location
The pub is excellent for food and drinks, very polite staff
Very close to the falls.
I would advise booking a table in the pub because it’s gets busy.
Will definitely be going back hopefully in the summer months.

Great site, Richard took the time to show us around the facilities and was very friendly.
The shower was hot and very powerful, not what you normally get.
1 mile walk into town so very convenient,
Definitely be back again.
