Stayed here over bank holiday weekend. Fantastic site, with nice big flat pitches with electric, which were immaculately well kept and water tap on hand. There is a little bit of road noise, but nothing intrusive.
The showers and toilets were spotless, with decent showers providing lots of hot water.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Other reviews had criticised the prices, but they seemed quite reasonable to us, especially as there was no extra charge for showers
Great location within easy walk of town centre with a Morrison’s next door and the Herefordshire countryside is well worth a visit.
A great site for adults after a bit of piece and quiet. Would be very happy to go there again.

Stayed here last weekend and really enjoyed it. We didn't book just turned up and there was plenty of space. Check in straight forward, pleasant and helpful. The further you drive into the site the closer you get to the main road and there can be some road noise (if that bothers you - but it didn't us)
The site is flat and well drained. The toilet blocks are exceptional - very clean and there's even a bath room! The shower did get a bit hot at one point but soon sorted itself out.
The site has 2 ponds, with 1 available to anglers. The one which you can't fish in has some huge carp - take some bread and have a look. Just be careful of the swan from hell, which came at me as I wouldn't give it any bread!
The site is ideal for Ross. We went for a few beers and found a Wetherspoons in the centre and the Crown & Sceptre on Market Place that has live bands on a Friday night.
Natures Choice on Broad St is a really good cafe/restaurant. Alternatively Morrisons cafe or hot food bar are available also.
Would I go again? Definitely!

Broadmeadows is a FANTASTIC campsite and is ideally situated a 2 minute walk from morrisons and 3 minutes from the center of Ross on Wye which has all the shops needed for a comfortable stay. Do not be put off by the small coach park outside the site entrance.
On arrival at the campsite, we were greeted by an extremely happy warden who showed us to our pitch and made us feel welcome. We stayed in a tent for 6 nights without electric hook up (which was not a problem with morrisons so close by) every night the warden would ask us if we were ok!
The shower block was immaculate for the whole holiday and was well thought out: eg, each cubicle was split into two by a shower curtain which meant that your clothes did not get wet. Also we never experienced any queues. The separate bath room was an added bonus although we didn't need it.
The highlight of the holiday was probably the ease of it all and the calm surroundings, we overlooked the on site lake (which was in the middle of the dog run - FAB) so were greeted by ducks every morning. With no car the busses from ross got us everywhere we needed to go.
All in all a fab holiday and we will definitely be returning in the future.

As others have said, do not be put off by the surroundings as you arrive, the site is lovely, it's well kept and very secure. It was lovely waking up to the swans and ducks walking around the field in the mornings, the kids loved it.
Overall the site is very, very clean and tidy, the pitches are spotless and flat, but the managers are a bit fussy. Another group / party which were on 2 pitches, were asked to remove their transit van from the pitch as it made them look like gypsy's touring site! This was a big inconvenience to them as they had to walk the whole lenght of the site with airbeds to the van to blow them up a number of times whilst we were there.
The managers patrolled regularly on a golf buggy which was a good thing as there was a high presence of them on site. Despite this it didn't deter people from being rude and inconsiderate. A number of units were loud, rude, boisterous and had no respect for other campers in the time we were there, the managers didn't approach them about their actions once. Even after complaints, the same people were still up at gone 2am with music ringing out, with them laughing and shouting above it, car stereo's were on from 6am etc, needless to say we didn't get much sleep.
The toilet blocks from eye level down were spotless, eye level up could do with a good clean and dust as their toilet blocks are full of spiders, bugs and webs. Which my little one took great offence too and just would not get in the shower with spiders above her head. There is also a bath room / family room, with a bath, toilet and basin in which was a major plus after the shower incident.
Washing up water was free, keys were available for the laundry room and baby changing facilities, which we didn't need nor see, but going by the rest of the site would have been tip top.
Prices are very, very steep. £45 for 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children without electric hook up, friends we went with paid £35 for 2 nights for 2 adults, also without electric hook up. Very steep prices even if it is in season.
Ice block freezing was charged at 25p per block, which was £2 per day as a group for freezing blocks. This coupled with the prices and chargers that were applied on nearly everything really put us off.
For us it was too regimented, appointed spaces of 8m x 8m, numbered and filled in turn, made you feel like the place was densely packed and cramped. Also didn't help the noise situations of an evening.
We wouldn't go out of our way to book here again, but saying that, we wouldn't not visit her again. If we were in the area we may stop off for a night or two, but we wouldn't holiday there or travel to Ross on Wye specifically, after this weekend.

Just like everybody else's reviews, don't be put off by having to drive through a coach company's yard and workshop to get to the site.
The site is set in a big flat field, with a couple of fishing lakes in the grounds. There are a couple of toilet blocks, which were very well kept with plenty of free hot water in the bathrooms and washing up room.
The site was also very well kept, with mown grass, plenty of electric points, fresh and waste water and bins, although these did get full one day of our (short) visit.
The playground on the site is fine, but maybe not aimed at very small children (which we had with us).
The wardens were very friendly and had golf buggies to show us to our pitch!
Morrisons supermarket is about three minutes walk away, so provisions were no problem. Ross on Wye town centre was about 10 minutes on foot. Some lovely pubs by the river in Ross, with live music the weekend we were there.
There is also certainly plenty to do in the area, walking and water sports on the Wye top of the list. It may be worth noting that the footpath that crosses the campsite is now closed and the road it used to cross very busy, so don't plan a walk East of the site.

A pleasant site, dont be put off by the industrial estate you may pass through to gain access. A nice welcome and the warden was most helpful in directing us to our pitch. The toilet / shower block was spotless and of a very good standard. We stayed for one night and ventured into the town of Ross which is on this sites doorstep. After a good look around the shops, we decided to have a meal at the Horse and Jockey pub and even though it was past lunchtime they turned their fryers back on and rustled up two excellent meals and gave us a welcome second to none. All in all an enjoyable experience of this site and town.

I visited this site recently and as said by others the facilities are spot on. The staff very frendly and well organised. Some of the pitches are not level and the ground a bit soft when the weather is wet. There are two nice lakes, one of which you can fish. As a fisherman I found the price to fish a little to high at £7.50 for one rod. But the fishing was quite good, the lake is well stocked with some nice Chub and Carp.

Very nicely kept site. Toilets and showers were immaculate. Codes on the door were not really a problem, they are there for our safety after all. The staff were fine when we were there, very friendly. No bikes were allowed which is a bit unusual. Nice large pitches. Very close to Ross town centre and Morrisons. Symonds Yat is worth a visit, expecially the maze, kids loved it. Very friendly ducks there too! I would go back, and think the price was reasonable for the high standards they attain.

We would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the site. We were made to feel welcome when we arrived. We stayed on the site before about 5years ago so we asked for a pitch we were on then and we got it no problem. The toilet/shower block were immaculate,dishwashing/laundrey as well. We found it very handy being so close to a supermarket and town. The owners and the wardens were very friendly allways spoke to us and had conversations with us when we past them even when they were busy.As for the price we new the price before we went which most people find that out first and if your not happy with it then dont go we would pay it again as we think it is worth it for the standards you get. We have recommended the site to friends and will carry on recommending it well worth it.

After seeing some of the reviews here I did not know what we had let ourselves in for but it was booked and deposit paid so we arrived there on Friday night ready for the bank holiday weekend :) Once we arrived at the site, just look for Morrisions and you won't miss it, we were in a bit of a queue as there were 4 vans and 2 cars trying to book in before us, the cheek of it. The staff were prompt in their dealing with us but not really grumpy. I was given the list of rules which are mostly common sense or would be if you had any manners, which most onsite did have. The code for the toilet block is not hard to remember but an additional tip is that the letters have to be used in the right sequence but the numbers can be pressed in any sequence you like so if you can't remember their sequence use your own! The power was switched on before we were at the pitch so can't really complain about that and the water supply was at the same point so only had to lean across the windbreak to get the spuds on. The site was clean, tidy and full of oldies, youngies, kiddies and families. I found that the ducks were noisier than the dogs in the kennels. The surrounding area is nice and lots to see and do. If you get bored with this much countryside to explore then you might as well stay at home! The only down side was that we had booked 2 pitches as there with friends and one of them was a corner pitch, which the campsite exit road took a fair chunk off.
