Agree with other comments the approach is a bit off-putting BUT the site itself is lovely, flat and well managed.
Unfortunately the facilities were not avaiable due to Covid but they appeared to be very good.
The Covid management of the site was excellent - sterilising was being carried out throughout the day on the water taps, etc.
Highly recommended.

Lovely site in easy walking distance of the town. Really nice over looking a fishing lake,
Unfortunately the toilet and shower block were not open due to the virus.
Weekends there was a breakfast van where you could buy a filled pita bread if you wished.

This site is one of the best I have stayed on in England. It so was well maintained & just looks so lovely.
Only a few minutes walk into Ross On Wye Town Centre were you can wander about the Town or go down to the River.
I would totally recommend this site.

Lovely campsite close to the town, river and a supermarket. Staff were very welcoming and the grounds very well kept.
We weren’t able to use the facilities due to COVID-19. This was not a problem and we felt very safe on the site (and in the town) as access to water and electricity points were clearly controlled.
There was excellent spacing between caravans/ Motorhomes, again taking social distancing very seriously.
The only negative (out of control of the park) was the area between the roundabout and the gates to the park, however once on the site it was like another world with the beautiful lake and natural surroundings.
We will definitely return.

Lovely well kept site
Bev showed us to our pitch & said they try to space people out when they can - the next 2 pitches were not occupied the whole time we were there but They had been busy for the bank holiday weekend ( & Ross regatta)
Showers - pleanty of them & 2 blocks showers push button type but pleanty of hot water.
Site is a little weird as you enter through a industrial area - but easy to walk into Ross town & Morrisons a 5 min walk.

Staff extremely helpful, pleasant and efficient. Amenities very clean. Grounds tended as in photos.
Peaceful picturesque site although on the edge of Ross on wye. With supermarkets a short walk away. Excellent base for exploring the area.
Will definitely be revisiting.

Good:
Great location - close to the town and shops with nice walks around
Extremely clean facilities
Generous pitches that are staggered so there’s always plenty of room between units
Late exit time in bank holidays is the best idea ever and made a big difference to our stay
Separate adult only area so those with young children didn’t need to worry too much and those without children enjoy peace and quiet
Greeting on arrival was really friendly and helpful
Not so good:
Hot water is a bit hit and miss
Entrance is through an industrial area so bit of a shock at first (although once on site you’d never know - it’s very tranquil and feels like you’re in the country)
We went to ask about walks - the floor in reception had just been mopped so the assistant not only didn’t want us to go in, but suggested we just go and find our own way to a walk. They actually sell copies of walks, but they weren’t interested on that day!

A really nice site, ideally placed for Ross on Wye ( 5 min walk into the town).
You approach the site from the Morrisons roundabout and go through a scruffy coach park, but once you arrive at the site it is very pretty. There is a small river with ducks, swans and geese and a little playarea.
The facilities are well kept and very clean. If you have younger children, be aware, that the site does not allow children to ride bikes and scooters ( our daughter is older so it didn't affect us).
The pitches are marked out and looked quite small but the new oweners only booked out every other pitch because of this and it felt very spacious. The only other odd rule was no windbreaks, luckily Easter was gorgeous and we didn't need one but in other UK weather a windbreak would be useful.
All in all a nice site.

This was our second visit here, but the first under the new ownership. Facilities are very good and it is now much better value.
As has been well documented the approach is through a sort of graveyard for old buses and trailers, which is unfortunate, but the site is well placed for the town. There is no shop, but Morrisons is beside the site. Satnav users are advised to target on Morrisons, Station Street, Ross on Wye (site instructions asks you to ignore using Post code).
We like Ross with its numerous individual shops, pubs and coffee shops.

Great site, level, fabulous toilet blocks, two fishing lakes, children's playground at one end and adult only section at the other. 5 minutes walk to Morrisons and a further 5 minutes to town centre.
Recent change of ownership with lower prices. Monday to Friday deal of £60 low season and £69 high season is best value around for a quality site like this.
The approach road as mentioned previously could be off-putting but don't let that put you off.
